Now, off to pick Tyler up from school, and hopefully we can just come home and relax. I wound up with a migraine today and desperately need to lie down. Probably the upcoming change in weather. It's 89 degrees today and supposed to only get up into the 60s tomorrow. Pretty drastic change!

:yay: YIPPEE!!!! Got my e-mail from DU this morning with the link to their online payment form. Paid for 1/2 of my mini-cruise because my darn credit card only allows a certain amount of charges per day. So tomorrow I get to pay for the other 1/2 and be all set! :woohoo: WOOHOO!!!

Woohoo!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I need some help here...where can me and Mandy meet? We're meeting at a bar for happy hour....about 4pm-ish....obviously, when you're with the original champagne girl....you'll be ordering a bottle of champagne. Mandy suggested either Capt. Jacks at DTD or House of Blues. I'm not sure if they have White Star champagne. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to where we should meet and share a bottle of champagne together at 4pm? Thanks!

quiet in here today.

I think I posted last night, but decided to take everyone's advice and not send the email. It isn't something I would normally do and don't want to do just cause my mother told me so ya know?

I do hope they recognize my strengths and qualifications and chose me as the candidate that they want to pursue.

V- You give a very good first impression. You come across as bright and interesting without being too serious. I am sure you had a great interview! Everything else is beyond your control

Have fun with them!

There are 2 that I am aware of...Kids Night Out and Fairy Godmothers. We have used FG 2x and have had great experiences. I think KNO is a bit more "official" with uniforms and such...but their prices show that. For us the FG's ended up being older woman who were retired in FL and doing this because they loved kids. They each had come with a bag of goodies and treats and they didn't put up with much nonsense from the kids! Our kids loved the sitters each time. Hope this helps. I am sure you can do a search on the disney family board and get more info.

Would you by any chance still have FG's phone number? I can find KNO, but not FG.

TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!

Some of the 10 year olds here have sponsors already... It is insane!

I've often heard that skating is a very time consuming and wallet emptying sport! It is beautiful to watch though!

Monica....
I do in my "to be scrapbooked" pile from our last trip (and probably a similar pile from our trip in 05!:lmao: :lmao: ). If you send me a PM today, I'll have a reminder to look it up when I get home and get that info to you.

THANKS Kaylee!!

PM will be on it's way in just a few!

I love to watch her. Partially because I am so athletically challenged it amazes me that she could still have my DNA.

It is fun to watch all the other kids too, but some of the moms scare me.

Weather Warning

For all of you heat wave folks. We made snowmen in the yard Sat/Sun...

Are the moms here like the stage moms I've heard about for child actors???

I tried to ice skate 1 time---I have NO strength in my ankles...they went in until it looked like my feet and the blades made an X.

well it's 4pm and I haven't heard from Samantha so I guess she is feeling ok. I'll be leaving here in a bit to go pick them up.

We've used FG and loved them. Vera was and older british woman and the boys just loved her. In fact, our youngest was a total clinger to me at the time and when she arrived he was asleep. I was quite nervous that when he woke up he'd freak given that we were gone and he was with a stranger but my oldest said, he wimpered a bit and she occupied him and that was that. She took them to the park and the resort and the boys loved playing with the bag of toys she brought. She was just perfect...I totally recommend FG!!!

This is a huge generalization because many of the mothers are just lovely and have worked very hard to keep thier kids grounded.

BUT, because of the costs involved you have a lot of women with money who are used to getting thier way. Most of them are very well educated, but few have ever been skaters. It is worse when it is the child, some of the teenagers treat thier mothers horribly. DH told DD if she ever acted like one of the girls from our club (we call her veruca) she would be done with skating.

There is a lot of record keeping and scouting (just found this out this competition, I'm kind of dense with that kind of thing).

DH said ok, now I see where the Tayna Harding thing came from... Isn't that scary?
