Now, I have completely forgotten when all your wedding anniversaries are and if I have sent greetings. Apart from Angie and Doug's which is this coming weekend that is.

So, a mass

I agree. Somehow I have missed when people are celebrating anniversaries,so Happy Anniversary to all!

Marilyn - I finnally found malt balls last week and ate so many of them I was sick!

We have gotten bad news here this evening. My brother's wife is not expected to survive the night....without a miracle. She fell over 3 months ago, lay with her leg under her for hours with the circulation cut off. My brother got her up when he got home and by morning the leg was not looking good. They got her to the hospital and she was sent by life flight to Seattle. Her leg eventually had to be amputated, and it seemed she was doing ok except for an infected bed sore on her back. My dear sweet brother was able to stay with her for the first 2 weeks then had to go back to work to pay the bills. He was spending his 2 days off driving the 5 hours to spend some time with her. This afternoon he got a call saying her heart was "doing funny stuff" to quote him, her breathing is labored and her kidneys have been shutting down for the last few days. They have moved her to intensive care again and told him needs to get there ASAP. My niece who was just here visiting this weekend is driving him over and their other children are also on their way. I am just so sad for him. They are the only couple we know that are more devoted to each other than we are. He absolutely adores her. He told me early on that without her there is no reason for him to live. Although I know he will keep going on, I also know he will be lost and I don't know how to help him. All prayers for them will be appreciated.

Then I also got a call that my favorite uncle is at the hospital in Spokane with his wife. She too is in intensive care. They are in their 80's and married only 3 years. They are just so cute and in love. It did not sound like she was in imminent danger, but she does have a blood clot in her groin area. That can be very dangerous, but she is getting treatment to dissolve it. I called and talked with my uncle and he sounded so very tired. My cousin said he was at his door at 5 am this morning with the dog for them to watch. He has over a 3 hour drive from his house to my cousin's so I know he was on the road before 2 am. I told him he needs to get over to the hotel and get some rest and then get a fresh start with the docs in the morning. He said he would do that.....I hope he did. Prayer for them too please.
:grouphug: many prayers Angie!

last night we didn't watch anything but Carlin TV! For some reason I started playing home movies..we had Samantha's birth through her first party.....xmas, all kinds of stuff, even our honeymoon and Samantha's first trip to Key West...tonight I want to find our first cruise!

I started to clear off the dining room table and just got sidetracked. I just don't have anywhere to put all the stuff.

Happy Anniversary Lisa!!party: party:

We were planning to go to DL this weekend, but it is too crowded and we can't get ressies... So we are going to go to our place in Bodega Bay also at the beach, for a lovely weekend! (I hope!)

Have a great week and a great weekend!

Karen

We are going to DL this week (Thurs - Sat) - used Priceline for the hotel as there is a convention filling all of the DL hotels this week.

Me too! Happy Anniversary everyone!!

Angie - pixiedust: thoughts are with you and your family.

Oh my....read your post after I posted about something silly like the kids school. I'm so sorry for you and your family. My prayers are with you and them.
Lisa:grouphug:

Oh please continue to post the "silliness"! Those are the distractions that keep us going!
:goodvibes

So sorry to hear this...you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers tonight. I don't really have many contacts in seattle area hospitals, but I do have some...if there is anything I can do, please PM me.

thank you. She was at University Hospital, but bro and his oldest moved her to Swedish Hospital about 3 weeks ago.

I am praying for a miracle. God's will often allow for that. It really sounds like this is a case for his intervension.

We do believe in miracles and I said just that to my brother last night. His wife did survive the night, her respiration rate is up from 11 to 15 per minute and with a c-pap on her oxygen level is up. Kidneys still not functioning and irregular heart rate. But she is alert and talking with him. That is a good thing.

Angie, you and your family are in my prayers. :grouphug:

I got some good news this morning. Our DVC waitlist for December came through and we got a 2 bedroom at Saratoga Springs (which is where the rest of our group is staying). :thumbsup2 VERY excited about that! Funny, though, as yesterday was our 'cut off' date for the wait. So when I called my owner (very good DIS friend) this morning, she went on line and said..."no change in my points, so I'll call and cancel the request". I went ahead and e-mailed the rest of the group to go ahead with 'plan b' and 5 minutes after I sent the e-mails she called back. When she was on the phone with the CM at Member's Services, the request went through! Frantic "stop the press!" e-mails and phone calls later and we are in. Looking forward to this new experience.

....time to hit the shower!.....

I had a fun, WET time at Epcot last night....I met my friends near Germany a little bit before 8pm - we walked around....after I bought myself some Mickey Crocs (I've been procrastinating on buying these). My shoes were soaked just walking from Germany to the African Outpost so I bought my Crocs and wore them out of the store.

We walked around a little bit---stopped by the Ireland booth (had to have the frozen Baileys Irish Cream :rotfl: VERY YUMMY!!), and the Argentina booth (wanted some Norton's Malbec). I didn't end up eating anything, but enjoyed those 2 drinks.

We then camped out to watch the show---it was delayed due to the weather, but atleast it wasn't cancelled. I love Illuminations! I love the music. The add on was good too....will try to see if I got any decent pictures tonight when I get home. Got home about 1030pm. A great way to celebrate Epcot's 25th!
