I was just checking the Gator Booster list (the active season ticket holders.....individuals as well as companies) and I noticed the guy I interviewed with yesterday was not on there...???

Maybe I could entice him with some tickets??!!

I'm Deanna and was on the WB and EB transAtlantic, so I know a few people already. The princess is my daughter, Katey, who won a pageant recently. I tried to take the picture off, but for some reason, it's stuck there. Someone on another thread called me "Queen Mum" for awhile. No french conections--I'm of German and Scottish decent. We live in Chicago. 8 kids, 10 chickens...

Gotta run...

I'm glad you pop in every now and then to say hi. I know my sis and I will for sure stop and say "hey" while on the cruise. Did you think you might join in for some of the group activites? Like the ladies tea maybe? My sis and I are from the greater Chicago area as well. DID YOU SAY 8 KIDS???? WOW! I just got that. You must have a great level of energy!~ Your daughter is lovely! You must be very proud.

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Please let me know ....also if youd like to PM me please do ....

pirate:

Captain Jack!! We will be in Fl for a few days before the cruise. We will have to set something up! We would love to see you again. Is your lovely family going to be with you?

The REAS package is not offered on our cruise. Oh well, at least that's one less decision I have to make!

Boy, real quiet since work . . . everyone must be watching the Indians game like me . . .

The Jake is sold out!

Alex is at the game with his med school buddies. It is college ID night (1/2 price) and dollar 'dawg night.

Game is tied 4-4 in the 5th.

Oh, that would be me waking at the crack of dawn and posting photos and such!
Well, I absolutely loved your photos and was thrilled to have great stuff to look at to keep me occupied during work hours today! :thumbsup2

Count me in on the "intimidated" by all the posts list. I post a lot before a cruise, but I just can't keep up. Carry on, though, as I think it will make the cruse more fun if people know each other. If you don't know ME before the cruise, please come up and say hello. There was a lack of that on my last cruise and so it wasn't quite as fun.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
:lmao: DIZZNEY D-ANN wants to be your friend:lmao:
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
Oooooooooh!! One can never have too many friends! I'll take all I can get! :goodvibes I love your Thing 2 sweatshirt....who is Thing 1?

I have to tell you guys how unbelievable that game was last night. We were losing until the 8th inning, but something about this young Indians team just refuses to give up.

Because we have been such consistent non-champions here in NE Ohio, it is really special when a team starts doing well. The Browns have never been to a Super Bowl, and no championship since 1964. The Indians, while they have had a few trips to the World Series, have not won since 1948, and the Cavaliers have never won a championship.

But there is something really special and American about baseball. The crowd was such a complete family mixture. Young (yes some even brought babies), old, and everyone in between. You may have heard that there are also two nuns who have season tickets to the Indians, and sit right behind home plate. They bake cookies for the players too.

Put that all together with the Indians in their red, white, and blue uniforms, on a perfect summer night, with a playoff atmosphere, and it was just a joy to be there. Once the Indians got back in the game, people were on the edge of their seats or standing and clapping for the entire remainder of the game.

When they won with a Home Run in the 11th, the place just went crazy! The team has a tradition of mobbing the player hitting the home run at home plate, and it was like a big rugby scrum. Whenever we have won, since the Indians resurged in the 90's, they have also played the same song (that I had never heard before), John Mellencamp's "Again Tonight" which is just perfect with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just a few blocks North.

The Indians really are having fun this year too . . . the other thing the team has done is when they win like this, and the "hero" of the game is being interviewed after the game, someone sneaks up on them and gives them a cream pie in the face. Sounds silly, but it is indicative of the fun these guys are having, and the fun the community is having with the game. They even played a video during the game of all the pie face highlights.

Our fans and our team are so hungry for a championship, that it really brings up the spirits of the whole region when a team like the Indians are doing well. If and when we make the playoffs, everyone around will be wearing their Indians hats, shirts, and ties, and having fun.

Just wanted to share how much fun it is, and you guys out in Arizona are in for a treat when Spring Training moves out there. Even though we get criticized for the "non-politically correct" mascot, no one here thinks that way of the team or the pride of the native Americans (Indians) the team is named for.

If you saw the movie Major League, you get just a brief idea and sample of what life is like here for a baseball fan in Northeast Ohio.

Now back to your regular DIS channel . . .

John1 - You don't need to bring a tie on the cruise, I found one that I will bring for you. Less packing for you!

And......are you going to share what that tie might be? Don't leave us all hanging now! ;)

Wow! That is SO nice and thoughtful of you! How CAN I thank you????

Is it like a tie in those old time movies that keeps "springing" up off of the shirt? If it stays tied for over four hours, should I call my tailor?

(Do people in the drug industry have a sense of humor?)

You got it! I will even let you chose your color - yellow or navy!

Nevermind! I'm a bit slow tonight.....totally forgot the conversations from last night. DUH!

Hmmmmmm . . . . choices, choices . . . .

I will have you know that I am one of the few in my office that wears "different" ties. I wear team ties, Beatles ties, Save the Children Ties, Grateful Dead Ties, Nature Conservancy Ties . . . you get the idea, I am more of a statement than a fashion person.

However, this would be a first.

I think since I am not that conservative, the yellow may be more fitting.

By the Way, the Indians are now up 7-4 in the 8th.

GO TRIBE!
TRIBE TIME NOW!
