It's raining! Not much but at least it's water. We are in such a bad drough. They say we have about 90 days of water left. I can't believe that there has been a fight for years over some fish! I am all for saving an endangered animal but not at the risk of humans!

Are you in Georgia somewhere? I have heard about that terrible drought. So weird that the rain is going north and south of you.

I made Patrick's Halloween costume this weekend. Chuck and I are going as Pirates pirate: and he is going as our prisoner! I had some black and white striped fabric to use. Unfortunately, the stripes SHOULD go horizontally, but the stripes on the fabrid go lengthwise, and I wasn't ABOUT to piece together a silly Halloween costume! So he's a jailbird this vertical stripes, he loves the outfit, and he doesn't care! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Lovely pictures Holly. Tyler looks cute in that outfit, though he won't like being told that at 5 years old!!! Nice picture of you both together too - you're looking good!!!:thumbsup2
Thanks Marilyn! :goodvibes I was having a bad hair day because it was SO windy, but still loved having a picture of us together. My mom took it. She got all flustered because she's never held a digital camera and didn't know how to do it. :rotfl: I had to tell her, just push the button like you would on any camera! She's funny!

Tyler looked much younger with that big hockey helmet on. But very cute! He told me the hockey jersey is shredded because it's a skeleton hockey player who just crawled out of the cemetary. He wants to shred an old pair of pants that's too small, to wear with the jersey, then he wants to use the gloves with skeleton hands from his old skeleton costume, and get a skeleton mask too! And don't forget the hockey stick! Seems the pirate costume he already has won't be used this Halloween! BUT that's OK because it can be used on the cruise and for play. His dad and stepmom won't be happy though, because they bought pirate costumes so they'd all match on Halloween. :rolleyes1

Oh my gosh! Hmmmmm.....let's see....people or fish? What's the matter with them? Well, here's hoping it rains so much that it boosts the reserves, but not so much it floods too much. :goodvibes

looks like a nice day out. But I have a ton of stuff to get through today so I will busy busy busy! No one wanted to get up in our house today!
Same here! I SO wanted to just call in, and sleep all day! BUT one secretary is out on vacation (her DCL cruise started yesterday), and the receptionist is out 1/2 day, so I definitely couldn't miss today. :guilty:

I love your family costume idea! Sounds like a fun time for all! :goodvibes

Atlanta is where I live, the worst of the drought area. I might have to have all my disfriends send me bottled water if this keeps up!

So here's my great news! Despite the tension with Tyler's stepmom when I saw her Saturday (actually, the tension was only coming from her end), I got a response this morning to my e-mail reminder to his dad about our appointment tomorrow and they're definitely going to be there! :woohoo: As far as I know, I have to pay for it all up front, since they're both protesting the financial aspect of all of this, but I DON'T CARE about that. My mom gave me a check yesterday for more than what I need, and I told her I'd repay her as soon as I get him to contribute his share, and she told me not to worry about it because she suspects I'll have little or no luck in that regard.

The pastor at church did a special prayer request to the congregation on Tyler's behalf regarding this whole issue. :yay:

The only thing I'm worried about now (but not too much) is tension at the actual meeting and how stepmom will be acting. But it would actually be a good thing for the doc to see that I suppose. ;)

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction!

Great pics of you and Tyler!! I sure hope the appointment tomorrow goes well. I agree that it is important for the doctor to see the real dynamics in the interaction between all of you. How wonderful that your mother was able to help you with the cost so you are not strapped and pressured to get the money immediately from Tyler's Dad!!

Wow!! I have read the stories about the drought in the southeast and sounds pretty scary!! It sure doesn't sound like any end in sight from what I have read.

John, DH and I just loved your play by play descriptions. I just wish it would have had the outcome you and the fans desired. I am so glad to hear you have a Disney fix coming soon!!

Holly - what great news. I hope the appointment goes well.
Thanks! I'm a bit nervous having to be in a room with both dad and stepmom talking about stuff, but will just tell the doc everything she wants to hear, will do my best to remain calm and stay my happy bubbly self! :goodvibes

I think this will be great practice for you because as an attorney, especially if you go into family law, I am sure you are going to have to be in situations like these albeit not so personally involved.

If you can just convince yourself that this is just like being an attorney for Tyler in a courtroom or a deposition, maybe that will help. After all, Tyler's best interest is at stake here and the calmer, clearer and conciser you are the better!!

Just my thoughts.....

That's great news Holly. I am sure now the meeting will go well for you all.

The news is showing pics of CA fires from Santa Barbara....Bubba and Venetia....to San Diego.....Darrell and Lisa.....I hope none of our DISer friends are affected directly....Mr. Woody and Mrs. Woody....and all of you along the way. It looks terrible. I'm thinking of you wishing that you all stay safe and out of harm's way.

I'm supposed to be packing, but I'm procrastinating.

V and Holly....loved the pics.

Holly....you are looking GREAT!!!! Good Work....it really shows!!!!

John1....I didn't watch the game....really I didn't....I just switched to it on commercials to see the score. Sorry for your loss.....there's always next year!

Holly....great news about them responding to your email. They just needed time to cool off I guess. For the meeting, just keep thinking of Tyler. Pretend you are alone with the Dr. and get all the info you need to help Tyler....it's all about him.

gydell.....sorry about your drought.....It must be so hot and dry where you are.

Karen.....I'm moving on!

Hi Marilyn!!!!! Hi Noel!!!!!!! Hi Lisa/dl and Lisa/cm!!!!!!! Hi Angie!!!!!
