as horrible as it is. we take these sunsets for granted. They appear daily.

as a family, we each get a poster board of what we would like to accomplish and every year Johnny and I have 52 sunsets.....I mean we have to walk to nowhere to see it!

Don't feel bad about it. I think that's the way it is for everybody, no matter where they live. Everybody has something where they live that they take for granted that others would just love to get the chance to see. I can't think what on earth that would be here in Lansing, but I'm sure there's something.

Yes, in Washington DC we have so many things to see.....do we ever see them....no of corse not. With Vanessa here now two weeks on Sunday, I still have not taken her downtown yet.

She has made a lot of friends and loves spending time with kids her own age. School was a challenge the first week....but we made it!!

This morning she woke up with a small rash on her face. So I asked myself, if this were my child what would I do?? I decided to give her Benedryl and send her off to school. I sent her mom an e-mail. Her mom suggested the doctor, it I think she needs it.

She came home from school and the rash was pretty much the same. She got invited out to dinner with a group of kids. She went out to dinner and came home a little while ago and the rash has really grown now. It is only on her face?? She says she does not have allergies, but she did say they were itchy.....

What would you guys do? Would you take her to the hospital? She has insurance as an exchange student. I guess I should read the policy...
