just checking in - there is a LUNAR ECLIPSE right now.....so cool!

V,

Stayed up to watch the beginning of it as it started on the West Coast after 1:30 am. Had to hit the hay before it finished.

Hope you are enjoying WDW!

Holly, how's Tyler today?
I can now officially say he's stubborn as a mule. :headache: On my way to pick him up after work, I got the phone call. They wanted him removed immediately because today he was punching all the kids and when they took him to the Pastor's office, he was raising his fists, telling the administrator that he was going to punch her too. :sad2: Fortunately, I was already on my way there and didn't have to miss work, but he was told that since he already lost everything yesterday, if I received another phone call because of his behavior, he'd lose the privilege of signing up for the next hockey class session. So now he loses 8 weeks of hockey. Very sad because it's what he loves best, but I have to keep coming up with things until something finally sinks in.

What's crazy is that just like yesterday, when I show up at day care and am in the process of getting him out of there, he's extremely lippy and very disrespectful to me. Then he's silent on the way home, and a perfect angel once we get home. Since his behavior changes the instant we leave day care, it further reinforces my belief that he's just not happy there, but it's still unacceptable for him to act like that. We all have to deal with things in life we don't like....he HAS to get that through his head.

100 deg Karen - you won't like that will you? Neither would I if it was humid.

Our temps are plummeting now as Autumn approaches. Schools are back next week and then I begin thinking about Christmas.

Marilyn,

It's not humid, but I still don't like the heat! I'm a 75 degree girl!!

So I suppose I have to call off our Mackinac trip. After 2 days in a row of this behavior, I sure can't reward him with a weekend trip. :sad2:

I should take pictures of his empty room and the empty places in the living room where his toys used to be and keep those to remind him how awful it looked.

Holly,

You should try to sneak a shot of him in his empty toy chest as well. Then another shot when it is full again to show him how much he had learned and how good he has been. (Always thinking positively!)

I think a toy and a "buddy", as we call them, is a good idea. It won't change how you have set up his "earn back" program and will give him some warmth for cuddle time!

2000 Chevy 2500 Suburban. Well, it does have 133,000 miles so I can't complain. One thing I learned from my father is buy a car new and drive it to "death". Both DH and I had our last cars last 14 years before we bought the Suburbans.

We live in the opposite world; we lease our cars so we can have new ones before they fall apart!!

We had a 1997 2500 diesel, which ended up being bought back due to the lemon law. It kept dying as you were driving! Just stop dead in the middle of your day! Then we had a 2001 and a 2003. I really liked the 2003, but we decided to downsize as the gas was killing DH's commute. He has an Accord and I drive a Pilot, both Honda's. I really LOVE my Pilot!!

Keeping the punishment up is very hard Holly. It seems you are being punished too doesn't it, particularly if you miss your trip.

Our website is down again and DH has been up all night trying to fix it.

I am trying to get some work done at home as I am stuck here with out keys to his car; he took mine to the shop.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. This has been a really tough 2 weeks!

Karen

 Never heard of this, but someone please tell it to me.
I really, really have to know, because I am 'Mary Mac' :) - so named in a previous job to distinguish me from another Mary who was already there when I arrived

From what I remember :rotfl: it went something like this....it went along w/ clapping (I can show you when we meet in May :lmao: )

Miss Mary Mack (Mack, Mack)
All dressed in black (black, black)
with all these buttons (buttons, buttons)
all down her back (back, back)

I think there is more....but I'll have to ask my sister what the rest was!

You certainly could do without the website being down again Karen. Hope it is sorted quickly.

:lmao: Could be a nursery rhyme meet on the ship!! Can you just see everyone doing these actions to all the rhymes. I will pass by and watch you all!:rotfl2:

You won't get off that easily Marilyn!! We'll get you involved too!!

There is one more rhyme that I learned in Brasil, but for the life of me I can't remember it right now.....I'll have to ask my sister about this one too.

BTW - Marilyn....do you remember the characters like Mr Tickle? I assume all these things I remember from Brasil are British since we went to a British school, but I guess they could be Brasilian. These characters were funny looking and had stories that went along w/ them (ex Mr Tickle had long arms that would allow him to tickle you).

Mr Tickle is one of the Mister Men

Thanks! I agree on a toy AND a stuffed animal earned at the same time. Unfortunately, he didn't make it today. :sad2:

Yes...especially when I like playing and going the same fun places he does too!

Off to fix an early dinner for Tyler. Then I think we'll go do our grocery shopping. Marilyn, you'll be in bed when I return, so goodnight to you and bye for now to everybody else! :goodvibes
