I was checking my account for the cruise today, and the amount seemed off. I called DCL and found out that everyone's cruise price went up $100 for each person because of a change in taxes that are being charged by Panama, I think. I can't remember which country it was right now. That's $400 for us. Ouch. I could of put that money to much better use. That's a lotta DOD's The very nice CM I talked to said we will all be getting a letter. BTW, the CM is going to be on our cruise.

The CM also mentioned that the price change did not affect those who had already paid in full. I can't imagine there are too many who have already paid, though.

wow - so $100 per person? Yikes!!

Well we had our benefits forum at work today and I found out that our company has partnered with Columbia Southern University in Alabama for online degrees. My company will fully reimburse the MBA from them but only $7000 from other schools. I need to look into them further but our education dept seems to think highly of them.

We are still unpacking and organizing and reorgainizing from our move in late march. Well DH invited his family ober on sunday, so I have to have the house done by them, and of coarse I work everyday and so does he.

We have a realtor coming Friday to talk about selling our place. It is no way in shape to list and show yet, but there is one neighbor that may be interested in purchasing it as it sits (would want the land and not care about the house) and she will talk with them for us. This would be a one time, one contact agreement with her. If they are not interested then we will forge ahead with the clearing out, patching, painting and staging. Too much work, I really hope these folks want it.

I love to eat at Good Stuff! My family went to Hermosa Beach for vacation every summer for many years and I love to go there still. We always stayed at The Sea Sprite--starting in 1958! What a place--lots of wonderful memories!

We walk right past the Sea Sprite, which is just steps away from the pier.

When my mother had to move into assisted living she wanted to sell her townhouse. A few years before her next door neighbors had said if she ever wanted to sell to let them know (They lived in Michigan and wintered in AZ) as they had some friends who were interested in having a winter place in AZ. We called them and in 3 days we'd closed the deal! It was a 30 day escrow, cash deal. What a blessing! I hope the same thing works out for you!

A couple of years ago my sister and I were waiting for a table at Good Stuff and called our other sister in AZ while we were sitting outside. We told her to go to the computer and check us out, which she did. What a hoot! When I got home I went back in the archives and found our picture and downloaded it.

Nice to know I'm considered one of the taller ones in this group. So let's do a roll call.

I've finally caught up on the 300 or so pages I was adrift.

I know this height roll call request was weeks ago, but I'm 5" (or officially, according to the Royal Air Force, 4'11 1/2"). Which I think, from the responses I've seen, makes me the shortest adult so far. It's not much of a claim to fame though!

By the way, DH is 6'0".

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Well, all, I'm in th hospital and have been told that I have 3 small tumors in my brain. They believe they are mastastisized from another part of the body. I've been though two ct scans and 1 mri. and they still can't find where it might have come from. Tomorrow I will be going in for surgury to remove 2 of the tumors in the cerabellam. Then both the area of removale and the other tumor higher in the head will be treated with radiation. and then kemo. In the meantime they hope to find out from biopsying the two they remove where in the body it came from.

This is going to be a very long journey and me and my family will need all the strength we can get. Prays please.

This cruise is what will keep me going/
