Well I have just sat down and finished catching up with the posts from when I was away. I know I didn't need to but I wanted to have some idea what had been happening in your lives.

So, some of these are responses to posts a few days old.

Welcome! You have found a wonderful group of people. I can't wait to meet everyone. By the way, I drive my husband crazy too.:rotfl:

:woohoo: Great news Holly.

Sorry to hear about your father. I hope by now he is improving.

This is so good to hear.

Thank you. I can't wait to meet everyone either. I thought my husband would get mad about me talking to everyone here but he is really excited. He said he actually wouldn't mind meeting a few new people as well. But I'm still driving him crazy because I talk about some of you like I know you already!!!!!

Amy and I have big plans for tonight . . .

We are volunteering at after prom. We have been doing this since our son was in High School, even before he was eligible to go (we wanted to know what it was all about), and as most of you are aware, once you are a dependable volunteer, you get called every year.

Amy and I are money machine veterans . . . we run the money machine where the kids can get "funny money" to turn in to try and win prizes. Believe it or not, it is really work, and we are suckers to do this one every year - we need an easier assignment. I told Amy if I see parents like I did last year just walking around doing nothing I will recruit them to help. We never got a break last year, and I bet I lost 5lbs. (yeah, I know, good result, but my back hurt all day the next day- lots of stooping and bending over that I am not used to)

I have to go and get the babysitter soon, and make a stop at Starbucks on the way back for some energy - we will be there from about 10:30 until 3:30:eek:

You know John, my parents were like you and Amy--always involved and there to help. That was MANY moons ago and they've been gone awhile. It's been so heart-warming to reconnect with old friends and have them tell me how great my parents were and how much they (my parents) meant to them. As a kid I didn't realize what an impression my folks were making on my friends! I knew I could always count on them, but didn't realize how much my friends appreciated it, too. Kudos to you & Amy!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone! We are so excited to go on the "Mickey Boat" -- that's what my 4yo and 2yo call it. :)

Where do I get the Ship of Thieves pic for my siggie?

Also, does anyone know the exact dimensions of the door? I'm trying to plan my door sign. :cool1:

We just got here today and already I feel so much better...sitting on the balcony watching the waves crashing on the shore....AHHH nice! Thanks for your good wishes. I'll post pics soon.:goodvibes :cloud9:

There's no such thing as a bad day at the beach! Enjoy! I wish I was there, too!

Funny about AB post....in FL, you never have to worry about limited supplies of sunscreen and it's a lot more reasonable when you don't purchase it at places like WDW or the last gas station before you hit the beach!

Yes, same in AZ...it's a staple, like milk and bread.;)

Can't wait to meet some of you kids here in TWO WEEKS!

I wonder if the Jacaranda will still be in bloom?

Ohhhh......one post away from #6,000 for me!

.

BEAUTIFUL!! Did you take this? I love it. Even the outfits of the people in the background are color coordinated!:thumbsup2

Welcome!:cheer2: There's a lot of information on the first page of this thread. I'm not much help on answering either one of your questions (actually zero help on answering your questions), but I know someone around here will be able to help.

Welcome to the Ship of Thieves.

Hi and welcome. We're all excited here too and It's good to share with others too.

I know you just right click the logo off someone's signature and save it, but I can't tell you the technicalities!!!

Noel. In my skim reading I somehow missed that picture of your lovely daughter. You must be so proud.

Welcome to the DIS and welcome to our cruise meets thread! Bunch of nice people here....just jump right in and start talking!

Door dimensions:

77.75 inches tall
28.75 inches wide
The # in the center is 7.5 inches in diameter and
is 13.5 inches from the top of the door.

how's that?

No, it's a stolen photo from the Disneyland forum. I do have a nice shot of my favorite Jacaranda tree

It was only just starting to bloom when this was taken. Even though I've been to DL more than the MK, I STILL think Crystal Palace should be on this corner!!!

<----------note tag #3.....I just dropped about $60 at Michaels yesterday! I went for supplies for 'fish extender' decorations and came back with supplies for DIS treats for my December cruise. Lime green foam visors for $1.00 each that I will decorate with foam alphabet letters spelling out my friends user names. At least that's what I think I'll do with them. They had the beer/soda can cozzies for $1.00 each also.

I got trapped for about 90 minutes this morning on the Disney web site, playing in the 'faries' section. If you have any little girls you want to keep quiet for a while, send them here.

So much for your last weekend of freedom....having to do schoolwork for the first week of class. At least you're still having a fun weekend. Enjoy the Zoo with Tyler, send us some more pics...I love seeing him.:dance3:
Awesome time at the zoo! Very chilly today, but that just means I didn't get all hot and sweaty walking all day. :thumbsup2 Will post a few pics later. About an hour ride each way, plus 5 hours at the zoo.......I'd love a nap, since Tyler got to take one on the way home in the car, but I have to go pick up branches in the back yard. Ugggghhhhh..... :headache:
