We accepted this invitation about 2 months ago. I had planned to have my Tri-Delt soriorty sisters I still see at the beach this weekend....but I cancelled that when this party came up.

Tonight the is a fund raiser for Reema's Scholarship fund. They asked my husband to MC and lead the music.....he really wanted to accept, but I told him we need to change our focus for little while. I really need a change of pace. They are expecting about 2,000 people at this fund raiser tonight.

Besides, how rude would it be to bail out on this party? They must be spending $1,000 on each couple?? My DH had trouble understanding it would be rude. DH was also the Best man in this wedding 25 years ago!! But in the end, he saw my side.....

So the Limo will pick us up in a few hours!!

I just can't drink to much because I have to get up at 3am to make the Med excursions!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You guys deserve a fabulous evening!! As you said, you need to change your focus a bit, notwithstanding the amount these people have spent to make their 25th a gala celebration. You can always donate to Reema's scholarship fund but you also need to honor your friends celebration.

Have a wonderful, wonderful and joyous evening!!

Had to look up to understand what it is . . . what are you using the cable for - to connect to? Connectivity issues are the WORST - I don't care what kind of computer anyone uses. I spent last night fine tuning my airport network so that I could access the new 500gb HD that I bought - and finally got it to work right - sad thing is, I really don't know how or why - I just kept starting from scratch and trying things.

Have you tried looking on the Apple Support forums?

http://www.apple.com/support/

I really do sympathize with you about connectivity or other computer issues. My DH is the family expert on computers so if anyone's computer has any type of issues, he gets a call. He also makes many computer decisions at work so he can not even get away from the problems there either.

Between 1946 and 1964, the United States experienced an exceptionally high rate of birth that we have since come to call the Baby Boom. In part because of their sheer numbers, the generation born during this period have had a profound impact on society and the economy throughout all the stages of their lives.

Here's a link to a video I took out of San Pedro last year. I thought some of you might enjoy it (Ibouncetoo, TiggersPal, NotSoLittleMermaid).;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ncri4Dp72_Q

I'm going to take it down at the end of April. I found someone pirating it on myspace again, claim it has their own! Bloody pirates!
That's cool! Thanks for sharing it with us! :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about Shelly's situation, but I'm glad you'll be able to spend some quality time together rebonding. It's good for both of you. Have fun!:hippie:
We had a great time! We went out for dinner, we each had one drink, then came home and talked and laughed until 1:30am. Then we got up at 8am and talked and laughed until almost 2pm, went out for a late lunch, and she headed home right afterwards. She's a much happier person with the soon-to-be-ex out of the house. :thumbsup2

Jackie & I are both Boomers as well. And I just love that someone posted the Chatty Kathy doll. I remember her, didn't have one - I was much more into my horse statutes! Hope everyone is having a great day.

Thanks Birkner for sharing your stories, although I've never posted about them, I so enjoy them!:thumbsup2
