Nordstoms carries the line and there is also stores in La Jolla, Palm Dessert, Laguna Beach, Manhattan Beach and Santa Barbara.

Yes, that is where I found it. Unfortunately we don't have a Nordstrom's but I did find one in a mall I like. That will just give me an excuse to go there. There is also one in The Grove and I have not been there yet. My DD wants to do The American Girl store there so I may just do that this summer.:goodvibes

I absolutely love the Grove!! We always stop by when we are in LA as it is right behind the Farmers Market.

When I was growing up in Los Angeles (born in Pasadena) my grandparents would take me every Saturday to the Farmers Market to Tusquellas which was then a Butcher Shop and not Seafood. My grandmother would get her meat and produce for the week, then we three would have lunch. We would visit the German deli for fresh saurkraut and brautwurst. I loved watching the cake decorating. Sure takes me back to the 50's.

I know what you mean about the "latest fashions". I wear Fresh Produce on my cruises for casual clothes. You might check their fashions out.

Cheri, not sure where the dust storm was as talked to DD yesterday who is in San Diego and she didn't mention anything about dust.

We have three of those stores here...my friend works at the one on Siesta and has for years!!!

Friday the 13th.....the never ending day! My gooooodness - I have itchy feet, want to get out of here already!

I just can't imagine anyone wearing celery, broccoli, or even endive on a cruse, but to each his own!

Well I'm back from shopping. Had a good day but still not got some nice cropped trousers/skirt! Our fashion at the moment is really lovely, but not suitable for older ladies, and all the shops are the same! I managed to get a cossie cover up and a blouse, but after trying on nearly every skirt around, I came home empty handed and depressed because they are funny shapes, or I am!!!:rotfl2: They are also too long or too short.:confused3 Found a lovely white one, but the undies show through!! Fancied white linen trousers, but they have the same problem.

Ah well, there is always Monday!!!

Hope you all are having a good day, and that those with problems are getting through them.

It's the weekend tonight and I hope you all have lovely ones planned.

Cheri, that wet dust storm sounds nasty. Enjoy San Diego.:cheer2:

Marilyn,

It's the cut of things, not us!! We are perfectly shaped!:thumbsup2

I do like Coldwater Creek for most clothing items. They carry Talls, Petites and "additional" sizes and the cut and style of their clothing is geared for women over 40!;)

Noel,

Isn't there still one in Carmel? I love their stuff too. They also have cute mommy and me outfits, not for us anymore as DD is "too old to match mom", but when she was younger we had some cute matchies!!

Some lovely things there Karen.

How are you feeling today?

:lmao: There's always a first time!!!

It does make perfect sense to take a Banana on a cruise though! :lmao: Not sure about wearing it though.

OMG . . .

Angie, are you trying to kill me here?

Is this what happens over there at Serenity Bay? :confused3

I've still never been there . . .

(all these people who hardly know me - probably think my mind is always in the gutter)

Pretty good so far!:thumbsup2

I have been battling a sinus infection for a week and usually the meds have helped by now, but it is still pretty bad.

I slept better, so maybe that will assist with a better day!:hippie:

Mostly it's been further set-backs to our moving our shop... just getting too frustrating for words!!:confused3

Hope your day is continuing to be wonderful! It's always good to start a day with shopping!:hippie:

My understanding is that the store closed because it was not considered "upscale" enough for Carmel. I love the affordability of the clothes myself.

Not upscale, but it was always busy when I went there!

Geez, talk about being too full of themselves! Must be why we haven't bothered to spend much time there when we are in the Monterey area.

Well, I better get back to work!

Carmel has become way to over the top for me!!

:surfweb:

We are still in Tahoe. I just love not having housework around to do. I think that is one of the best things about being away. If only I could have a DCL cabin steward along as well to pick up after me and the boys! Lisa
