Well, I'm off to sleep. My migraine lasted from yesterday morning until around noon today and I'm completely exhausted. Didn't sleep much last night from the throbbing every time I moved. What's interesting is that everybody knew when I was better today because they told me they could see it in my eyes. Most people took one look at me and said, "Oh, you look like you have a migraine." Gee, lovely to know I looked that bad! ;) Then, later today when a co-worker came to my cube to ask me a question, as soon as I turned to look at her, she said, "Wow! I could tell the second you looked at me that your migraine is gone." Amazing. Anyway, after fighting one lasting this long (even though it was much shorter than I used to get before my daily preventative meds), I'm usually pretty wiped out. Plus, after work today I took Tyler to a carnival that's here for a few days, so that wore me out too. Goodnight all! :goodvibes

Holly, ask your doctor for Norflex. See if you can take it with your daily Rx. It's a muscle relaxer that is non-narcotic. It really helps my migraines. If it helps you too, why suffer? DD takes it too when she gets migraines and it helps her too. Call your doctor and check it out. Hope it makes you feel better.

Well, my lovely DH has just called to say he's taking me out for dinner tonight to our favourite restaurant in town.....you can see it here....http://www.theforburyhotel.co.uk/enter.html

They have wonderful cocktails too!:cool1:

ANyway, better scoot and start making myself beautiful....it takes a while!;) :thumbsup2

Hi angel, hope you had a lovely dinner and cocktails. Don't forget to give us all the details...what did you eat, what did you drink?:cutie:

Enjoy your meal Mandy.

John came home from work with what looks like flu so is asleep right now!!! We fly to Lanzarote on Thursday so i hope he improves.

Marilyn, that's so aweful for John and you if you catch it. Your vacation is so close. You both want to be healthy and have fun. Make sure John gets plenty of fluids and plenty of sleep. Hope he gets better quickly.

John, how was the awards ceremony for your son? What was the mood at the University? Congrats to you and Amy and Alex.:thumbsup2

Hi Cheri, sounds like you're having the time of your life! Keep doing your daily reports...even though we're all jealous, we love hearing about your days of fun in the sun.:cool1:

Deb,

How are you?

How is ther weather back there?

We are having chilliness (?) and 50 to 60 mile per hour winds!! BRRR, but not mid-west and east coast brrrr!!:cold:

Your wine will be delivered on Monday:thumbsup2

Let me know how you like the Annie's Lane!;)

Karen

Just watching the news through tears... they are telling stories of many of those that died... it's just so sad. Several of those that we have heard about and seen here on the thread.

Just breaks your heart...

The news is such a love/hate relationship...

Hi Karen, watching any good movies?

I'm saddened by all the VT news. But I know that life has to go on...

Our weather has been miserable for days...cold, snow, rain, high winds, just nasty. They say it's a noreaster, which is late in the season. Normally they occur in winter with lots of snow. If you have cold windy weather, what's in store for us after this? I just can't wait for the sun and warmth. I've had enough already.

I can't wait to taste the Annie's Lane...it sounded so different in your website description. I will be home all day on Monday to accept the delivery. Thanks for giving us such a good deal with the shipping and the DIScount. It wasn't necessary, but I really do appreciate it. I love that I can shop for wine now the way that I shop for clothes...online click, click. It's my favorite way to shop.

I just checked all the tickers...and they all say 12 months and 3 weeks...wasn't it three weeks for a long time now? Shouldn't it be changing to 2 weeks very soon? I want to book everything. I'm getting anxious about it coz it's so close now and I want to get it done.

How is your move coming? I hate moving. It's so stressful. When do you expect to be in the new place?

:wizard:

I know...I've had the news on 24/7 for two days...my tivo says I only have 30% available space, it's going to start deleting my regular shows if I don't start watching them...but I'm glued to the news and can't turn it off.:confused3

Deb,
DH and I have been going over plans and finances all night for the shop; these constant delays are just killing us! We are still hoping to have a "soft" opening the last weekend of April with our Grand Opening the third week of May.

Our contractor has been delayed with weird things going on at his other work site (he is fitting us in as we were in line for his services for months last year, but now he is booked when we need him and he is working us in around his other jobs.) Our power and water were supposed to have been transferred in January and they were not, so there wasn't power or water there last week when we were in Bodega and he couldn't get a hold of us either.

If we just could have opened 6 months ago, we would not be starting in such a deep hole. It's very frustrating.

I really think that we should be canceling our DL trip in May too... It really makes the most sense, but I know that DH and DD really live for these breaks in our busy schedules and would be horribly disappointed. After all, we booked this trip as part of our "cancellation package" for canceling our Med cruise in July.

Cheez wiz... I just realized how dire this sounds, so sorry to unload and expound!!!

Thanks for noticin'...

Karen

Poor Holly - you've had your share of sickness recently. I hope the migraine has gone completely when you wake this morning and you are not left with that awful after feelings.

John gets a more visual migraine, sometimes leading into much of a headache but it is very disabilitating. Loss of vision, flashing lights and patterns. They seem often to be related to the relaxing after a busy time - weekends and annoyingly, holidays, or bright lights. He won't admit chocolate has anything to do with them!!! We have Migralieve pink and yellow over here and if he manages to take the pink ones as soon as possible and close his eyes it usually settles within the 30 minutes. Sometimes he is left feeling awful too.

Boy, you guys are quiet tonight. We were able to plan a church service tonight for the kids. We had about 100 adults show up and about 400 high school kids came. We lit candles and prayed with these kids. I think some of them had never been in a church before. It was neat that we could be there and offer up our new building for these kids to grieve.

We made great big HUGE posters for VA Tech, one for Erin and one for Reema. They are going to rool them up and sent them to Blacksburg tomorrow.

I never got the flowers to the shooters home. I went by and you could not get anywhere near the house. It was all roped off..Crime Scene.

So many media trucks and satelittes. So many police.....

You are providing a safe place, and friends, and something positive to focus on, to help in the healing process for these children. Take some time for yourself to gain strength as this continues, and come on here and chat it out too.:grouphug:

Right now, I would go on the cruise with two broken legs and arms and still have fun...I NEED DCL! :yay:
My friend started chemo today and said she wished she just "slit her wrists." A good friend at my children's school had her second bout of breast cancer and poor Lisa with Virg Tech. So sad.

Let' think about Champange girls... I like the orange label. Anyone else?? Lisa

You too need strength to help as you seek to support your friend. It must be harrowing.

I agree about the cruise. Take me away Calmom!!!

Hope he improves and that you DON'T GET SICK!! Airborne or zinc time.

Karen

Thanks Karen. He is much better this morning which is amazing! We have the zinc lozenges and I think they are brilliant, but the Airborne I am going to buy in November when we are over!!!

Lisa, have you found a new pink outfit for your champagne girls picture...and new pink shoes and a bag too. Anybody shopping for cruise yet? We're almost at the one year date and then we can BOOK ALL OF OUR RESSIES. That makes me happy. :goodvibes

Lisa, I got your PM with info. Thx!

I have been looking at clothes with the cruise in mind, but I want to be 2 stone lighter by then(:rotfl: ). At least if I am I will have the excuse to buy everything new!!!:cheer2:

Marilyn, that's so aweful for John and you if you catch it. Your vacation is so close. You both want to be healthy and have fun. Make sure John gets plenty of fluids and plenty of sleep. Hope he gets better quickly.

Thanks, he is much better. I was going to get him on that plane however ill he was!!!:lmao:

Offload all you want. It helps! Sorry things are so distressing with the business move. We can understand having a business ourselves. We hope to move premises in a year or so too!!!

I hope you don't have to cancel your trip.

Hooping class this morning, hair appointment this afternoon and then packing!!

Flight is mid afternoon tomorrow.

No need to apologize....It sounds like you're dealing with a lot of frustration. Just hang in there and you will get to the opening. Try real hard not to cancel your trip, you all need it badly. Things will work out whether you do or don't go. So you might as well go. Remember, everything happens for a reason, even if it's not clear right now. I'm sending you peace, and pixiedust: pixiedust:

Marilyn, you're amazing...busy in the morning and afternoon...then packing. How long does it take you to pack? I start one week ahead of time and I make my lists and I check everything off as I go along. For this cruise, it's probably going to take me two weeks...you're amazing.pirate:

I wish I was amazing Deb!!! I could do without the hooping, but it is the last class of the 6 and I really want to do it. I also have some last minute shopping, including my prescription to get.

I have piles of possible clothes in the spare room and many other bits'n'bobs. I might wait till the morning to pack and just get more things together. I find there are so many little things to gather together which takes the time and my toiletries and face things........well that is another biggie. I have such sensitive skin I need fall back products in case I have a reaction. The sun and wind also causes problems with my face. John's pile of clothes is very small.:rotfl2:

The cruise will be a big test though - I'm stressing about the sorting and packing for that already.

I find that I lay thinks out over a weeks time, then pack the night before if we are flying out in the morning. Last trip, we flew out at night, so I had things laid out and packed when I got home that afternoon. I was SO busy with work before we left that I forgot a few things... oh well, more shopping in WDW!!!:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful day today!!:hippie:

Enjoy your meal Mandy.

John came home from work with what looks like flu so is asleep right now!!! We fly to Lanzarote on Thursday so i hope he improves.

glad he's feeling a bit brighter now Maz:thumbsup2

Daniel came home from school. He drives to school. He said that the media was just swarming the place. There were helicoptors. Then he could not get home because this boys house is on the way home. He had to go all the way around. I can see the helicotors over at his house.

Erin Peterson passed away today. She was the third Westfield child. They announced it on the loadspeakers at school.

more sadness

I just found out there will be a space shuttle (Atlantis) launch on 12/6....the day I board the Wonder for my surf and turf....launch time scheduled for 4:30PM!! :cool1: :cool1: Pray everything stays on schedule....how cool!!!!!!!!!

That would be so great to see!:woohoo:
