Well, I'm off to sleep. My migraine lasted from yesterday morning until around noon today and I'm completely exhausted. Didn't sleep much last night from the throbbing every time I moved. What's interesting is that everybody knew when I was better today because they told me they could see it in my eyes. Most people took one look at me and said, "Oh, you look like you have a migraine." Gee, lovely to know I looked that bad!
Then, later today when a co-worker came to my cube to ask me a question, as soon as I turned to look at her, she said, "Wow! I could tell the second you looked at me that your migraine is gone." Amazing. Anyway, after fighting one lasting this long (even though it was much shorter than I used to get before my daily preventative meds), I'm usually pretty wiped out. Plus, after work today I took Tyler to a carnival that's here for a few days, so that wore me out too. Goodnight all!
Poor Holly - you've had your share of sickness recently. I hope the migraine has gone completely when you wake this morning and you are not left with that awful after feelings.
John gets a more visual migraine, sometimes leading into much of a headache but it is very disabilitating. Loss of vision, flashing lights and patterns. They seem often to be related to the relaxing after a busy time - weekends and annoyingly, holidays, or bright lights. He won't admit chocolate has anything to do with them!!!

We have Migralieve pink and yellow over here and if he manages to take the pink ones as soon as possible and close his eyes it usually settles within the 30 minutes. Sometimes he is left feeling awful too.
Boy, you guys are quiet tonight. We were able to plan a church service tonight for the kids. We had about 100 adults show up and about 400 high school kids came. We lit candles and prayed with these kids. I think some of them had never been in a church before. It was neat that we could be there and offer up our new building for these kids to grieve.
We made great big HUGE posters for VA Tech, one for Erin and one for Reema. They are going to rool them up and sent them to Blacksburg tomorrow.
I never got the flowers to the shooters home. I went by and you could not get anywhere near the house. It was all roped off..Crime Scene.
So many media trucks and satelittes. So many police.....
You are providing a safe place, and friends, and something positive to focus on, to help in the healing process for these children. Take some time for yourself to gain strength as this continues, and come on here and chat it out too.
Right now, I would go on the cruise with two broken legs and arms and still have fun...I NEED
DCL!
My friend started chemo today and said she wished she just "slit her wrists." A good friend at my children's school had her second bout of breast cancer and poor Lisa with Virg Tech. So sad.
Let' think about Champange girls... I like the orange label. Anyone else?? Lisa
You too need strength to help as you seek to support your friend. It must be harrowing.
I agree about the cruise. Take me away Calmom!!!
Hope he improves and that you DON'T GET SICK!! Airborne or zinc time.
Karen
Thanks Karen. He is much better this morning which is amazing! We have the zinc lozenges and I think they are brilliant, but the Airborne I am going to buy in November when we are over!!!
Lisa, have you found a new pink outfit for your champagne girls picture...and new pink shoes and a bag too. Anybody shopping for cruise yet? We're almost at the one year date and then we can BOOK ALL OF OUR RESSIES. That makes me happy.
Lisa, I got your PM with info. Thx!
I have been looking at clothes with the cruise in mind, but I want to be 2 stone lighter by then

rotfl: ). At least if I am I will have the excuse to buy everything new!!!
Marilyn, that's so aweful for John and you if you catch it. Your vacation is so close. You both want to be healthy and have fun. Make sure John gets plenty of fluids and plenty of sleep. Hope he gets better quickly.
Thanks, he is much better. I was going to get him on that plane however ill he was!!!
Deb,
How are you?
How is ther weather back there?
We are having chilliness (?) and 50 to 60 mile per hour winds!! BRRR, but not mid-west and east coast brrrr!!
Your wine will be delivered on Monday
Let me know how you like the Annie's Lane!
Karen
I so wish we could try some of these wines.
Deb,
DH and I have been going over plans and finances all night for the shop; these constant delays are just killing us! We are still hoping to have a "soft" opening the last weekend of April with our Grand Opening the third week of May.
Our contractor has been delayed with weird things going on at his other work site (he is fitting us in as we were in line for his services for months last year, but now he is booked when we need him and he is working us in around his other jobs.) Our power and water were supposed to have been transferred in January and they were not, so there wasn't power or water there last week when we were in Bodega and he couldn't get a hold of us either.
If we just could have opened 6 months ago, we would not be starting in such a deep hole. It's very frustrating.
I really think that we should be canceling our DL trip in May too... It really makes the most sense, but I know that DH and DD really live for these breaks in our busy schedules and would be horribly disappointed. After all, we booked this trip as part of our "cancellation package" for canceling our Med cruise in July.
Cheez wiz... I just realized how dire this sounds, so sorry to unload and expound!!!
Thanks for noticin'...
Karen
Offload all you want. It helps! Sorry things are so distressing with the business move. We can understand having a business ourselves. We hope to move premises in a year or so too!!!
I hope you don't have to cancel your trip.
