That would be nice too! Here's a link to the description of what I had: http://creativewellness.net/ashiatsu-massage.php. I didn't really know anything about it beforehand and just discovered the info on their website a few minutes ago. Interesting. I just thought a massage was a massage and didn't realize different types served different purposes. As long as it makes me feel relaxed, I don't care what type I get. ;)
OMG, that's just what I need! I have chronic back pain--arthritis--in my lower back. Thanks for that link and description! I'm sure I'll pay quite a bit more for it than the website has listed, however....

. . . My dream trip is go around the world. I am hoping to do this when DH retires.
Mrs. Woody is looking into this for 2009. Cunard looks promising, but has three formal nights per week and "casual" is still quite dressy. She's now looking into Regent and Princess.

lwilliam (Lucy) here.....I want to wish everyone meeting at DL a VERY FUN TIME:banana: :cool1: :woohoo: I wish my DH Bob and I could attend - if LisaAnn is planning - I know it will be fun!
Hi Lucy! Wish you guys could come too! But have fun with Deb and John!!!:thumbsup2

Since I am staying at the hotel, I checked with the hotel and was told they allow you up to 5 hours free parking with validation.
Yes! This is just what I just found out too! So 5 hours (we have to remind each other to get our tickets validated by our server) for free--tip only, what a deal.
Thank you both for confirming....so let's all remind each other to validate!!!

For all my friends doing DL this weekend.....have a wonderful time. I so wish I could be joining you!!
Thanks...wish you could come too!!!

DITTO!!! I'll be anxiously waiting to hear all about it! :goodvibes
I, and everyone else I'm sure, promise to tell all the details of this large group....35 of us!!!! I hope Storyteller's is prepared for DIS!!!

Hi Venetia! I grew up in Santa Barbara, Goleta actually! We'll have to make sure we chat at dinner on Sunday!

It's a small world (after all). I am a SB native. Lived in sb, and goleta. Did you go to school there? If so, where? Yes we must make sure to :chat: Looking forward to meeting you Sunday

When the kids were little, I used to have them walk on my back. Felt great. Just a drive by post - busy night and need to get to bed so we can get up early to drive to Alex's graduation in Youngstown.
Have a great time at graduation! :yay:

You will love it! Whatever they charge in your area is totally worth it....I promise! :thumbsup2

we've been looking to move over for about 1.5 years now. We had a 2nd house from 2001-2003, sold it and immediately realized that we wanted to move over there full time.

RE: Half Moon Bay

I think that would be a splendid place to live. Being so close to the beach, but still so close to the city. It is the best of both worlds. It is hard when you have the house that got away in your mind. We had a home we had bid on and lost to an investor. I was so convinced it was the home my kids were going to grow up in....everything I wanted. Of course there were things wrong with it but I refused to see them. Now, a few years later in a different house, I know what ended up happening was meant to be. It is hard to see it though when you are in the middle of it.

By the way, the house we were going to buy was 2000 sq ft and our current home is quite a bit large (same price, different location). Space is so important for kids in my opinion. I love having the extra space. It is probably the biggest reason why I'm glad the investors bought us out. So for me, we ended up with an aged home with more space as opposed to an updated fancy home with less sq feet. But now I have to figure out how we will afford that *$%* mortgage and taxes for 30 years!

Good luck!
Lisa

Oh, I'm so jealous! My aunt left me a phone message yesterday telling me she and my uncle and cousin can't come to Tyler's birthday party because they were leaving that day for an Alaskan cruise! When I called her back after work, they had already left, so I didn't get to find out any details such as which cruise line, how many days, etc. But I've always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise, so I can't wait to see her pics and hear all about it! I see on my yahoo messenger that my cousin keeps logging on and off, so I think maybe he's trying but not having luck with the internet connection. If I can catch him online long enough I have to ask him the details! :goodvibes

Not DCL, of course, but I'd be happy with any cruise right about now just to tide me over until this one! :hyper:

My Inlaws are leaving at the end of the month for a 10 day alaska cruise on Princess.

We plan on driving down Sunday morning and spending the day at the park.:cool1:

We'll be there all day too! We'll be the ones wearing matching "Twice the Magic" Double Dip shirts! (they're light blue)

Oh and we usually have our name tags on as well - Lisa & Darrell.

WOW! I'm singing the small world tune! I went to La Patera Elementary, Goleta Valley Jr. High, and Dos Pueblos. DH went to San Marcos, and practically every other elementary school and jr. high in all of Goleta, Santa Barbara, and even Carpinteria.

Marilyn, one of the things I dislike about the hotels in San Diego that we have stayed in is many of them charge for parking.

Is it worse than SF? I have had $55/night or $60/night for parking for some of the top hotels in the city. Could have stayed in the Motel 6 for the price of their parking!

We moved last summer to a bigger house. Our square footage more than doubled, our mortgage doubled...and the taxes tripled. It's a huge hit, esp when I want to cruise so much. But in retrospect, it was the best decision. Good luck!

Oooooooooooooh, I'm even more jealous! My perfect dream cruise would be, of course, a Disney Alaskan cruise. :cloud9: I can always fantasize, right?! :thumbsup2

I think we are probably not going til DH retires which I suspect will not be another 5-7 years. I don't even want to start looking yet.

I have not ever had to pay that much in the city!! What hotel, please so I can avoid ever staying there!!

Not sure what I'm wearing yet, BUT we also always wear our name tags-Bubba & Venetia. Do you find that when you wear them people always ask you where the bathrooms are.:upsidedow

OMG, DH graduated from San Marcos, class of 79 (Go Royals):cheer2:
I graduated class of 81. I also went to GVJH and DP for 2 1/2 years before transfering to SM. Elementary for me was Peabody.

I know what you mean. I will for sure be on DCL if (and I hope when) they go to alaska. My Inlaws are super  to be going.

Okay, this is way too weird. DH and I were both class of 84. I think at that time SM was still only 10-12 grades, so you graduated as he entered, otherwise I'd be rummaging for his yearbook right now! BUT DH did go to Peabody! He said he's sending a list of names with me to the dinner so we can confer--we can also talk about teachers! I'll bet we had most of the same teachers at GVJH and DP. Wow, I could go on and on at this point, but I'll save it for when I meet you!
