Holly,

So glad that you did something for yourself!!

My massage from Sunday morning seems "light years away" Every joint in my body aches from working on getting the shop ready for our Opening weekend.

We had a great Opening Friday and look forward to continued success this weekend!

Karen

Fabulous news!! I am so glad all is going well for you two. Keep us posted on the shop success.

As one of local Phoenician here, the weather can be unpredictable here too in May. We've already topped up to 105° so far. However, last night we had a wonderful dinner at the Westin Kierland Resort as local Bagpiper extradinaire Michael McClanathan played on the rolling greens of the golf course. I felt this 'might' be what Scotland feels like.

We are renting a minivan after the cruise and either driving home to Phoenix that day or the next. We'll be staying at Hotel In-Laws in Anaheim if we stay a day. It comes with free babysitting.:dance3:

It's been years since I've been to Vegas. With 3 boys, Vegas isn't that family friendly anymore. However, my favorite place to stay is Treasure Island and not just because of the pirates. One of the main reasons is because you DON'T have trapse through the casino to get from your room to the spa. I like to "finish up' dressing in my room.

I've stayed at the Gaslamp (RCI points) before in San Diego. It's a nice room, but the Gaslamp district can be hopping at night and noisy. So if that's your style, it's a good place to people watch while dining on the patios.

Oh dear Holly!!! Can't believe all that! Let's hope everything arrives today so you don't have to go off hunting for things this afternoon.
Well, there are 3 big party supply stores in town I can look at, so hopefully I should be able to piece everything together if necessary. :thumbsup2

Ok, so I have now read Wally's website on San Diego and what a help it is thanks!!!:thumbsup2

But, and a big but, he really doesn't recommend Late May/June for a vacation to San Diego because of the weather!!!!!! Will we be wasting all that money(and the hotels will be extra expensive because of Memorial Day) on a gloomy trip? We could always take a trip to SanDiego in September one year and really enjoy it then.:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Where else would you recommend? Should we head to Phoenix, Las Vegas, or go back to our original plan of SF? LV will be bad for Memorial Day also.

I am going Memorial Day weekend and will keep you posted on the acutal weather. Everywhere will be crowded for Memorial Day weekend as it the first "official" weekend of summer. I think you will have a fabulous time in San Diego. SF can be chilly during Memorial Day also.

Here is the forecast so far for Friday and Saturday:

Fri. May 25 Mostly cloudy 70ºF 61ºF
Sat. May 26 Low clouds followed by sunshine 68ºF 60ºF

Average temps:
May 69.3 59.8
Jun 72.2 62.6

Any news on the party supplies???
Nope. I sent an e-mail last night to the place I ordered from because by the time I got home after work, class, and my massage, it was after business hours, so nobody was there to answer the phone. What I didn't realize is that they're closed on Saturdays too.....just found that out when I tried calling a minute ago. My next step is to see if I can get any info from FedEx, even though I was never given a tracking number. :sad2: I can't find a phone number for the local FedEx, only a 1-800 number that didn't give me an option to speak to a real person, so I'm driving up there in a few minutes to see what I can find out. Of course, if the store never shipped my order, that's a different story and I'll expect a full refund. Keep your fingers crossed!

All body parts crossed that the store shipped Tyler's bday supplies!!

Not sure what I'm wearing yet, BUT we also always wear our name tags-Bubba & Venetia. Do you find that when you wear them people always ask you where the bathrooms are.:upsidedow

I know what you mean. I will for sure be on DCL if (and I hope when) they go to alaska. My Inlaws are super  to be going.

Yes- we always get asked the bathroom question too!

We are keeping our fingers crossed for an Alaskan Disney cruise someday too!!

Heading off to bed...have to pack this week-end for my quick Maui trip with my sister on Thursday. I can't WAIT! A little sun, a little champange, a LOT of sleep! Good-night, and good-morning!
Lisa

Have a great trip!

That would be nice too! Here's a link to the description of what I had: http://creativewellness.net/ashiatsu-massage.php. I didn't really know anything about it beforehand and just discovered the info on their website a few minutes ago. Interesting. I just thought a massage was a massage and didn't realize different types served different purposes. As long as it makes me feel relaxed, I don't care what type I get. ;)

sounds like you might need to plan another one for after the party???

lovely site, I wish our massages cost those fees, more like double. Which I guess makes it okay to get them on the Magic as it's relatively resonable compared to home.

good luck on the party supply search, was the order from brithday express? I've had a friend that had the same thing happen with her stuff. Not a "normal" way to deal with a back ordered product. SOP is to ship all you have on hand then ship the balance when/if they arrive. I wonder how businesses like that stay afloat.

:confused3

While you're waiting for that Fed-Ex truck, look at the party stores websites for replacements, then call the stores to see if they have it in stock. This way, they can set aside the things for you to pick up later. It will make your running around go quicker. Good Luck.

Just keep hitting zero but NOT TO FAST in succession. Most systems have that has a default. If you hit it too fast, it will hang up on you.

zero, pause, zero, pause, zero....etc.

stayed at OKW, right on the 7th hole...very nice, rooms are a bit run down but very spacious.
We ate at Le Cellier, Ohana, 50's PT, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Kona Cafe, Cosmic Ray's, Columbia HH - ETA - Chef Mickey and Coral Reef and more that I am forgetting. Ohana we won't be back for a while. And LC...this is a must for DH every trip and wow...the service was HORRIBLE. We have one drink from the time we ordered until dessert....and I had mashed potatoes and was practically choking and couldn't even down my filet.
Ran into a few very rude folks but for the most part it was great, very warm, we were out of the parks by early afternoon and managed to do most things. We won dream fastpasses twice at MGM, different days and yesterday they were giving away the castle stay in front of us....

Sounds lovely!!:) Shame about Le Cellier if it was a favourite. We had a bed grissly steak there. I was wondering about trying Ohana next time but we'll see.

Ohana was a mess...we waited over an hour and a half and well as several other couples near us. They sat us at a table for 6 (party of four) and there were tons of empty tables around...turkey, pork and sausage just aren't my kind of thing I guess - and it seems a waste of all the food. The salad was good and the shrimp....

we did get to wake up Tinkerbell, an honorary conductor on the railroad and ride in the front of the monorail as well.
