Funny boy! Tell Mrs. Woody that I spent an hour today at Stampotique talking to Carol (the owner) about DISNEY CRUISING! She's a major Minnie Mouse fan! ::MinnieMo I gave her the DIS web address. Did I buy a stamp? Of course and an image of it will probably show up in your mailbox someday (as well as the mailbox of others on this thread....as it is cruise related).

Speaking of mailboxes, HOLLY, I have not sent off your shoes yet, so don't stand by the mailbox waiting! I'm hunting down the proper mailing container ;)
Don't worry about it! The thought hadn't even crossed my mind. :thumbsup2 Just let me know the shipping cost as soon as you know so I can get some money to you.

Ok, so today I went shopping and spent $400! I only wish I could say it was on me! :sad2: But no, DS8 (almost 9) really wanted to go to a local clothing store called "Kids Planet". All the kids at school shop there and he's at that age that he has a very clear opinion. So there we were, *********** and Billabong...the prices killed me but what could I do...he wants to be like all the other kids at school. My mom never gave me the freedom to pick out my clothes, she bought everything for me at Lord and Taylor and Saks. While I may have looked like I was out of the finest catalog, I didn't "look" like the other kids in my fancy clothes and was picked on, so I'm perhaps hypersensitve on this issue. To this day when I question her and remind her how the kids made fun of me, she responds with "I know, but you looked so nice to me." Oh well! With DS's blond hair, and these new clothes, he looks like a "skate" kid, but shhhh, he has no coordination on a skateboard....at least he has the look........trying to be a good mom, within reason. (Trying is the key word)
Great job, mom! :thumbsup2 Tyler has picked out his own clothes too ever since he turned 2. At that age, he insisted on everything matching, down to socks and underwear. If he were wearing a Spider Man outfit, he'd have to wear Spider Man socks and underwear. You get the idea. I suspect that's one of his dad's anal traits showing through. ;)

Good morning everyone. Been for a long walk this morning and a coffee and a bun in the cafe!!!

This is a small world afterall! I stayed at the Don in May. It was wonderful. The staff was amazing.

Here are a couple of pictures from that trip.

The Don Cesar had been on my list for a long time so I finally splurged and stayed there for a couple of nights after my last solo WDW trip. I thought the beach was lovely.

And surprisingly the airfare and the car rental was cheaper going into Orlando and out of Tampa than just flying in and out of Orlando.
*********************
The Breakers is also on my list so I'd love to hear more about that hotel too.
Lovely pictures. The Don Cesar just looked so unreal to us first time Florida visitors. We did enjoy walking on the beach there.

I agree with that 100% ::yes:: No wait.....I want Alan Rickman or Patrick Stewart.....love those voices!

We were there the week before (or the week after) can't remember which this last December. We were scheduled for Cuba Gooding, Jr. and were very excited about seeing him as DD knew him from movies he had been in. Well, Cuba had a conflict with his film schedule and Edward James Olmos filled in. He was AWESOME!!!! He was so emotional and involved and sang (beautifully) with several parts of the production, we couldn't have been more pleased!!:thumbsup2

Have also seen David Ogden Steirs for one of the first CP in DL in 1995, Richard Crenna in 1988 and Levar Burton in WDW! :cool1:

All were wonderful!!

Karen

We saw John O'Hurley(is that right? Seinfeld) His voice and persona on the stage was wonderful and it was his first time there.

Good morning everyone. Been for a long walk this morning and a coffee and a bun in the cafe!!!
Good morning! I was hoping for a walk today too, but the weather isn't cooperating. Maybe later!

Have a great day everybody!

Good morning! I was hoping for a walk today too, but the weather isn't cooperating. Maybe later!

Have a great day everybody!

Hope you manage to get a walk. sorry about the weather - it is much better here today, but cold when we first set off. Clocks went forward last night so I suppose it was a little earlier when we set off than it would have been yesterday!(:confused3 ) Oh my, I'm confusing myself.:rotfl:

What will we do if it is a Buckeye-Gator showdown and we are at WDW? What day is that final anyway - Saturday or Sunday?

The final game is on Monday, April 2nd.

But the Buckeyes game against the East Regional winner is on Saturday, March 31st. Are you hoping to play North Carolina or Georgetown?

We have a shop in town that sells handbags, unusual cheap jewellery and some strange clothing, some gothic and creepy. Anyway they have a few piratey items - well should I say themed really. Thick black tights(pantyhose), or they could be leggings(do you call them that , or footless pantyhose?!!), with skull and crossbones all over, and a black and red striped top and scarf. I am going to go in and have a nosey, though I doubt you will see me in skull and crossbone leggings.:rotfl: They probably have loads of piratey jewellery and may have belts too.

Marilyn, sounds like a shop becky would have loved a few years ago when she was in her 'Goth' phase!:) I must ask her i she's got any pirate accessories, come to think of it! (Her clothes wouldn't go near me unfortuanely as she's such a tiny thing!)

Morning, er afternoon all!
Gorgeous day here...but I've been inside doing laundry all day...and there is still plenty covering the floor. So am I the only nerd who has a cruise box already going? I have bought several outfits for the girls are in there....highlighters, markers, pirate bandanas, eye patch....the list goes on and on.

Another nerd with a cruise collection going here......oh yes.....that's because I'm going this May too!:cool1: I keep forgetting and planning for next year then remembering we are actually going this year as well.....I'm such a spoilt brat!:rolleyes1

Just watched Gary Sinese on CSI New York. Would like to see him narrate the Candlelight Processional.

me too!

good as far as laundry goes!! It was really behind or we would have spent the day outside!!
I do hope to come to England soon --- I would like to bring my mom, grandma, the girls, DH and of course my horrible sister. I would like to see everything...my Grandma's father was in the Navy and they he had a fish shop where they lived upstairs afterwards.

We tried to plan this when I had my first DD, and both my mom and grandma are worried about being able to return as they are not US citizens...

We could all meet up in Harrods for tea!:cool1:

I can't wait, and I know we will definitely need a WHOLE lot of time over there. What is the flight time for you to get to the US?
The thing is, I am not sure what sort of travel accomodations are best...everyone keeps telling me just bed and breakfast it and don't make prior reservations but I am positive we need to.

I'd definatley make reservations for this :) there are some great B & B's, or small hotels. I f we can help let us know!:)

The only time we have done CP was on christmas eve 2001, it was Gary Sinese,. Wow was it special, and really made up for the fact that it was only 35 degrees and we; DM, niece and I, were away from family at christmas. I haven't gone back since, as our trips have fallen over times when it wasn't him reading.

I was due to do that night too, back in 2001, with my ex-dh but it didn't happen....I'm still really disappointed I never got to see him :(

OK, I'm DISfunctionally DISeased AGAIN...talking, talking, talking and no one is here! EEKKKK!:scared1:

You do make me laugh!:rotfl2:

Well, I spent my Saturday going over the tea lists and getting everything together in Excel and sending it off to Noel. DH spent the day making a pen for DP(et) Angel so she can spend more time outside, which is what she really wants. The kids and grands came over today to help, so she is all tuckered out right now....sleeping like a blob. I just know that she's going to wake up in about an hour or two and think that she can continue playing with me the way she plays with them. NOT! The grands lie on the floor with her and they let her bite them. I do not allow this. She gets spoiled when they're around.

Me talking to me again.....where is Karen.....

I read this wrong (a blonde moment) and wondered why I needed a pen!:confused3 But you are right...I do sleep like a Blob!!!:lmao:

Oh, don't give me too much credit. I have to go back to the room and take a nap around mid-day. But it is 100% more fun with them. They make me laugh a lot. It's so nice when they can become your friends.
Here's a pic of the joy's of my life. The blonde is Tiffany's best friend who will be joining us at WDW with her husband.

Lovely picture! I love being with my dd, especially now she's 19 and a real friend to me :)

Karen, you know where your next trip after the WB has got to be then!:thumbsup2 Maz and I will have taught you some wonderful English accents and sayings by then...you can come and sample the wonderful delights of London and Reading, then go up North to see Maz!:goodvibes

Mandy,

This TOTALLY works for ME!!!:thumbsup2

Book it Danno';)

Karen

Sorted, Karen!:thumbsup2 Afternoon tea at Harrods?:cool1:

She's all for that Karen!:thumbsup2 She must be feeling better today as they've gone up to London anyway :) I think the lure of the shops has been very strong......:rotfl: Paul was very disappointed that he'd made her a cake though and she couldn't eat it...he's just so sweet!

He sounds like a keeper! Unfortunatly, they often are around too early for DD's to realise how wonderful they are!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Karen, you sound as crazy as me!:rotfl2:

Yes, great minds...;)

I have the same problem....will I do some ironing.....will I ever find the table (never mind the top of it!).....will I ever get around to starting that collage I've been imagining ......no I'll go shopping instead! (and come on here after) ;)

Shoes, shoes and more shoes....

My blimmin' new shoes have given me a terrible blister!:guilty: I was hoping they'd be really comfy for Disney next month :(

Karen, I think you're right about Becky's bf......he's 22 (tho very young for it) and I think it'll be hard for him when she goes of to University next year. :sad1:

Here is the latest on my San Diego Theta Mom's weekend.

Stay tuned.

Noel

Wonderful diary thanks Noel....loved the links too!:thumbsup2

Don't worry.....I confuse myself all the time, so you're not alone! :rotfl2:

I'm sure we'll get our walk now....sun came out about 15 minutes ago and it looks like the rain clouds have moved on. :thumbsup2 Just need to let our lunch settle a bit and hopefully things will dry up outside quickly. Then we'll head out to enjoy the sun!

Back late last night. Way too far behind to catch up quickly. Believe there is over 150 pages to read. Need to unpack before the big game! The Ducks did well while we were gone. Have to catch up on the games with Tivo (the worlds best invention ever)!

Who would have thought back in October when we were allowed to view a private practice that we would be here today. Of course we are going to lose to Florida today, but it has been a great ride.

Jenna is sitting on the floor in the middle with the yellow ball. She was able to have the whole team autograph that ball. Somehow it is Daddy's ball now!

ok, so I have to post my experience of yesterday at the post office that made me think of you, Lisa.

We went to get Paul and Wilson renewals on their passports (ya never know when momma decided to go to Mexico for spring break, in three weeks I add) and we are sitting there and in walks a mom with a little guy, who plops down next to Wil and they start chatting over Wil's ninetendo. The mom is tending to the littler guy in the stroller..shortly the dad walks in with yes 2 more boys. I nudge Paul "I think that's calmom from the DIS" he says "ask her" I'm like (valley girl, yes I came from the land of the '80s) "no way, if she isn't she will think I'm nuts" "and if she is then I'll ask her tonight on the board and we'll crack up" so it wasn't since you were in San Deigo (thank heavens I didn't accost her) I must now go to the ship o website and study the family photos....she did have brown hair, which I thought you did too, right?

okay, close encounters of the nonDIS kind.... :3dglasses

Wouldn't that have been funny?!? I'm sure one of these days we will run into each other...we all live so close! Lisa

It's very quiet on here today. Everyone must be out enjoying themselves - especially John, Amy and Sophia, Noel, and Angie and Doug!

After our long walk this morning we set off for a drive up into the North Yorkshire countryside which was lovely. Benefitting from the clock change now too.

I'm really very allergic to smoke also. I don't have asthma but if I'm in a crowded room with a lot of smoke in the air, I start to feel asthma symptoms, which really stinks (ummm, pun intended, I guess)--can ruin an evening!

This is the very reason we don't want to go back to Disneyland Paris. SMOKE!!! Please tell me Hong Kong will be different. Okay I no it won't but I might have to wear a silly face mask there, and claim I'm avoid the Avian Bird Flu. Molly hates the smoke too, she actually coughs and makes a loud grumbing sound when she hits it, perhaps that isn't such a bad thing, huh?

Ok, so today I went shopping and spent $400! I only wish I could say it was on me! :sad2: But no, DS8 (almost 9) really wanted to go to a local clothing store called "Kids Planet". we shopped a bit too yesterday, with Wilson, but it was kicking and screaming all the way, my boy no likey the shopping :confused3 . But I was the bargin hunter and can be since he doesn't care about the names on the clothes yet....(i'm sure he will soon) I went into the Old Navy, Target & Carter's outlet store I think for the last time, they had a size 7 surfer dude (but is really the skater dude, been on a board since he was 2) outfit, which I had to get him since he had on his baseball uniform and we didn't plan to bring any extra clothes and we headed to ILs for dinner...good reason to force him to try it on. He tried it, and wore it all out the store.

Molly and clothes, not to brand picky, again I'm lucky, except for AG of course. I could shop for her all day, but don't go high end very often (formal wear and the like) so I can get her whatever I like and see. I'm sure she too will out grow the I don't care phase, but I'm running with it as long as I can.

Wouldn't that have been funny?!? I'm sure one of these days we will run into each other...we all live so close! Lisa

Yup, next time I see a mom with four boys I'm thinking of you!

We're off to the Oakland Zoo, a bit cloudy but should be a nice day of family relax time. Chat with you later.

Nan

OMG...I was talking about my DP darling pet, Angel...and you thought ...in your blond moment...that I was talking about you Angel. Now that is very funny.....why do you need a pen....LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: and you do sleep like a blob, you say.....LOL:lmao: :lmao: You crack me up!!!

LOL HA HA LOL HA HA LOL HA HA LOL....

Great news John...and she looked like she had a blast! :cool1: I love the slide at OKW, and I love sitting there in the sun watching DDs go down it thinking about how great they will sleep that night!:lmao: Congrats on the Buckeyes win....have they ever gotten this far before?

I'm really very allergic to smoke also. I don't have asthma but if I'm in a crowded room with a lot of smoke in the air, I start to feel asthma symptoms, which really stinks (ummm, pun intended, I guess)--can ruin an evening!

I am not allergic to smoke, but when I did come home from Vegas I always had a cough for at least a week. And, I would have to shower as soon as I got in the room....having long hair, when I would sleep and roll over, I would get a whiff of my hair and almost gag. It really wasn't that bad this last time though:cool1: Made me excited since I love to go to Vegas for a nice retreat with DH. The last time we were there for CES and the girls came, I didn't even mind them walking through the casinos during the day as the smell was minimal.

Ok, so today I went shopping and spent $400! I only wish I could say it was on me! :sad2: But no, DS8 (almost 9) really wanted to go to a local clothing store called "Kids Planet". Lisa...been there for both those things. Could have been telling my story! :lmao: Growing up Mom always bought my stuff from Saks and Macy's and I just never quite fit in the style. Although I do remember the time she bought me a few terry cloth like Izods and I thought I was in heaven:lmao: anyone remember those shirts being the "style"? DD8 has never cared about style and then one day last year she told me she really needed some Roxy stuff because that is how all the cool girls dressed. Well, off we went and spent way too much on Roxy stuff. Yup, I was that mom! And, why is it that Roxy is NEVER on sale?! and totally overpriced?! I never realized boys went through the same stuff. One time when DD was in Kindergarten, 2 little girls came up to her on the day of the mother's day tea and told her that she could play with them today because she finally looked pretty! I was shocked. Girls can be soooo mean:sad2: Hope your DS has a great day at school on Monday looking stylin! :thumbsup2

Jenna is sitting on the floor in the middle with the yellow ball. She was able to have the whole team autograph that ball. Somehow it is Daddy's ball now!

Great picture...you can scrap it for the season when....will have to fill in the blank depending on how they do tonight!

Well, being Sunday it is laundry day again. Didn't I just do that?! :lmao: Will it ever end?! Is DH new this week???????? I hope so. At least AR is, I so hope that Mirna et al go home tonight, I just don't like them.

Lisa (Calmom) finally saw The Holiday last night. Thought it was a very good movie. I absolutely love Cameron Diaz.

Nope, you are not alone...I have a drawer in my office started...my fish extender :), small gifts for the girls from Target that were POTC and a few other little things. I am sure that by next May it will be able to fill an entire suitcase! :lmao:

I haven't started a box/suitcase yet, but I need to. I was in a complete panic yesterday because I couldn't find my fish extender. :scared1: I wanted to show the boys some iron-patches to possibly put on the fish extender and they acted like they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I know I mentioned it. I know I showed it to them when it arrived. They just kept looking at me like I'm speaking a foreign language as I was trying to describe it to them. :headache: Doesn't everyone in my household live and breathe DCL?? Apparently not. Anyway, couldn't find the fish extender to show them. It finally turned up, thank goodness. Now I've got to get a box going so I don't lose anything else. :scared:
