Good morning everybody! Must have been a slow night here last night----only 2 pages for me to catch up on. Me likey! :thumbsup2 Up early to go work out at the gym. THREE DAYS IN A ROW! Woohoo! :woohoo: I'd say my motivation is true this time.

OK....I'll 'fess up. I'm not against all sports. I'm clueless about all, except hockey. It's the only sport I will watch and used to travel to different NHL stadiums for games because I plan on being able to say some day that I've been to all of them! My favorite was Toronto because I also visited the Hockey Hall of Fame when I was there. :cool1: That's somewhere I definitely want to go again. I think Tyler would love it because he says he wants to play hockey. We play street hockey (but in the driveway) all the time.

Holly, check out the restaurant right above the hockey hall of Fame, the market style one, very good and a cool market stall set up.

DH Grumpy John and I did MS before it opened. We were test rats....we just happened to be in the park when they opened it for one day to see the reactions. It was jacked up to be sure, I almost thought I was going to lose my cookies during the launch, but then just focused on the horizon and was fine. It took me right to the edge...then liftoff. It was awesome....we LOVED it. When they said, "welcome back to earth" afterwards...I really felt as if I had left and returned. We have been on it again once or twice since then and it's lame now as compared to the first time. It's still good and we do it anyway, but the first was always the best. Now....we won't do coasters or the Tower of Terror....but MS we like. Go figure!:woohoo: :scared: :woohoo:

I wish we could do one way fares for half the price!:confused3 Then we could choose different companies to fly with each direction. I think we will have to come back to London and get the shuttle up from there to Manchester. We can fly direct to Orlando of course. All with Virgin apart from the shuttle up.

Manchester-Orlando then LA-Manchester, both via Chicago, costs slightly more than a return to Orlando and slightly less than a return to LA. So effectively you are only paying half the return fare for each one-way journey. With the recent takeover of BA Connect by Flybe, you may well find that their shuttle from London to Manchester will no longer exist before much longer which will drastically reduce the connections available.

We always weigh up the various options, comparing the various advantages and disadvantages of direct flights but having to travel to London against having to make a connection but travelling from closer to home. We look at the overall travel time and the cost, and generally find that London takes longer and costs more once all aspects of the journey are taken into account.

marilyn...is that English?????? ;) :rotfl: :confused3

No, it's Yorkshire. As spoken in God's country. Made perfect sense to me. :thumbsup2

I have to tell you this. Last week my DSis was in hospital where, when the staff were completing the admitting paperwork she was asked her nationality. Without a pause, she said "Yorkshire". :lmao:

And she has lived on the South coast for over 30 years!

The London-Man connection is a worry, I'm not sure who Virgin usually use, but just imagine booking it all and then that side of things falling apart!:sad2: Trouble is the Virgin direct Man to Orlando is just great with a fairly early arrival time of 2.50pm. It makes such a difference. Still considering flying SF back to Orlando the day before a flight direct back to Man.

Morning, er afternoon all!
Gorgeous day here...but I've been inside doing laundry all day...and there is still plenty covering the floor. So am I the only nerd who has a cruise box already going? I have bought several outfits for the girls are in there....highlighters, markers, pirate bandanas, eye patch....the list goes on and on.

John - how cool is that? Now which DIS'er was it?

And YEAH, how 'bout them GATORS???!!!!

Way to go boys!! Now bring it tomorrow!! (at 2:40, in case anyone is interested) and I have a feeling Dennis and Angie may be on the other side this time! ;)

I also have my new swimsuit and clothes I ordered for me....as I am in no shape to fit in them now, but am hell bent on getting there by next year!

No, you're not the only nerd. I also have a box started--right now it's a small box, but I know it'll keep growing.

You're much braver than I am! I've tried that before with not so great results. You go, girl!:thumbsup2

and took the dog for a walk in shorts!

I noticed no one commented on this, but I :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: picturing the dog in shorts!!!

That is our DD8 as well...I thought I was the only parent dealing with a child scared of every ride:lmao: She'll do everything once...and then that is it! (1x per trip). Although, she does love splash mountain and will do that over and over again to make mommy happy until she gets the perfect picture! :rotfl2: I often bribe her with a pin after each ride :rotfl: pretty expensive way to get to go on rides. This May we are going with her best friend who is a daredevil. I hope that gets her to enjoy the rides even more

From the time my 10 year old was 7, she was running to the bathroom to stuff toilet paper in her shoes to be tall enough to ride the rides. She loves them all......any at all. I can not ride even one of them....all make me sick~~

OK, before I go do "other" important things, I wanted to post another shot that my DD took of herself in Bodega. The sunset behind her is the view from our porch!!

Karen HOW BEAUTIFUL!! I love the way they take pictures of themselves. It always makes me laugh.

Just popping in to say good morning before I take DS9 to the dentist. I forgot to tell you all that he knocked out a good portion of both of his front teeth (about 1/3 of each ) on our very first day of vacation in Hawaii on a waterslide. We rushed him to a dentist who said he would be able to keep what remained of his teeth, thank goodness. We waited until we got home to have them bonded, however, so we could have it done by his regular dentist. Hopefully, he will have his usual bright smile back by lunchtime.:beach:

OUCH!

I am a Tri-DeltaT]

I was a Tri-Delt (Delta Delta Delta-SNL had some fun with our sorority...."Delta Delta Delta, can I help ya, help ya, help ya.........")

Penny-my sorority sister....Delta Love to you!!!!

I am a Tri-Delt as well. VA Tech!! It really was a very fun part of my life. I remember the handshake....but can't remember the password or kiss:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I so would like to be buying things for the cruise, but as I hope to be a around 20lbs less by then I will have to wait!!;) I do, however have a few favourite items(still on the tight side) that I am thinking of trying not to wear this year so they will be nice for the cruise. I will have t get a few pirate things, though I doubt we will be too piratey!

I will definately need a couple of better outfits for the formal nights - I don't think I can do glamour though, so not sure what to get.

My fish extender is the only real item I have specially put away for the cruise at the moment!:thumbsup2

I'm all alone. Must be because it is Saturday and you are all out enjoying yourselves.:)

Our clocks go forward tonight so we are back to the usual time differences, 5 hours in front of you East coast folk and 8 hours in front of you West coasters.

Off to bed soon, will catch up with anyone around tomorrow.

Just watched Gary Sinese on CSI New York. Would like to see him narrate the Candlelight Processional.

Marilyn, I notice in your signature you went to St Pete...we are not far from there at all, about 40 minutes....well, relative to how quick you drive.

HI, just popped by on my last sweep of my favourite boards! Have you had a good day?

and we will be doing the "meek and mighty" St Anthony's triathalon over in St Pete next month.

good as far as laundry goes!! It was really behind or we would have spent the day outside!!
I do hope to come to England soon --- I would like to bring my mom, grandma, the girls, DH and of course my horrible sister. I would like to see everything...my Grandma's father was in the Navy and they he had a fish shop where they lived upstairs afterwards.

We tried to plan this when I had my first DD, and both my mom and grandma are worried about being able to return as they are not US citizens...

Now we had a great first US trip there. We stayed just inland, back from the Don Ceasar, back over a couple of bridges, but I can't remember the name of the area/development. We could walk to St. Pete's. It must be great living over there apart from hurricane season. I will have a look on the map. We went to Clearwater in September 2000, booked at the Clearwater Beach for 5 nights, but a hurricane came along, so we went on back to Orlando after 32 nights. The hurricane was supposed to hit around there, but went a little north and was not a bad one. However it was not that nice to be around in, even in Orlando.
