What a beautiful day! Sure, only 36 degrees, but bright sun, blue skies with only a few clouds.Had a short bike ride so Tyler could get some fresh air and get that biking urge out of his system. Too cold to go more than a couple blocks though because the wind is chilly. Brrrrr! I can see he'll need tons of practice this summer! He doesn't like having training wheels, but he's still so uncoordinated, has no sense of balance, tips over ALL the time, even with training wheels! Can't get started or keep pedalling if there's a tiny upgrade in a part of the sidewalk. No way could he handle a bike without training wheels when he can barely ride with training wheels!
I don't want to discourage him, but.....for pete's sake! I told him if he practices every day and gets to where he's able to ride with training wheels more than a couple feet without tipping over, maybe by the end of summer he'll be ready. But he's only 4....and aren't most kids closer to 6 before you take training wheels off?
My birthday story is different from most others here. My Bday is Sept 4th. Where I grew up the law was 1st day of school after Labor Day....so, I always had cupcakes like the very first or second day of school. Everyone loved me as a treat came so early on in the school year. Except my oldest brother, I was born on this 4th Birthday....so his party was cancelled. He did not like me then!!

I am always amazed when friends have gotten divorced how all of a sudden 1 of them becomes the world's most self centered person and forgets about the kids. Married they were both great (or so it seemed). Then there is the opposite, I have a friend now who put an additional "wing" on their home and each parent lives in one wing with the kids living in the main portion along with the kitchen/LR/FR etc. They are divorced but wanted to "stay together" for the kids. Great for you Holly for working togethr for Tyler.
Yeah, um....we get along, but I doubt we could all live together l ike that. Now that's dedication!

Since I have lost some weight I should need to buy a bathing costume and cover up(very necessary for walking around!!!!!), and perhaps some capri trousers. Oh, and maybe some undies unless I take all my old ones to leave there!!!
Here's a few hugs, a bit late. I know what that feeling is like (from the other direction) I am an only child and my mom was divorced when I was young, so we were very tight. When we lived across the country from eachother, holidays like that were hard.
What a strange day it's been here!
I went to the supermarket dressed in sandals and with my sunglasses on...very bright and sunny....decided to have my car washed too while I shopped...only to come out to heavy snow falling!!!!! Waste of money on getting the car washed, and I got soaked! It's now very cold but sunny again, hvaing just had a real hailstorm.....weird weather for here!
This totally reminds me of something I did on my last cruise, but didn't put it in the trip report. I purposely took all my old underwear that I would have been throwing away soon anyway, same with some clothes too, so that I could throw out a bunch of stuff before coming home, leaving more room in the suitcase for souvineers and other new stuff. Well, I did do laundry at one point, and threw away a bunch of old stuff in the laundry room. Then on the last night, as I was packing, I threw all that old underwear away in the garbage can in our room. We went to dinner, out to have other fun, etc. At the end of the night, when we all returned to our room for the last time, we found that when the room steward cleaned our room, he took all those underwear out of the garbage can and put them on my bed!

I just bought tim McGraw concert tickets!!!!!! I'm so excited! unfortunately, the show's not until 7/29, and I have to drive to Dallas for it , but yay anyway!!

DH and his brother share the same birthday, four years apart. DH is the younger of the two and was the one to spoil his brother's birthday. I'm not sure his brother ever got over it.
Shhhh.....don't tell! Boss went home to get his glasses, so I have a short bit of free time. Scary to think of him driving without them! 
Dreaming of my "hot tamale" and wishing for a phone call soon!
Really a bummer after being outside riding his bike yesterday!
