Holly - hope Tyler is ok...and ya'll have fun at Chuck E Cheese!!

BTW, how old will he be cruise time?

ETA - I just reread the first post..you are traveling child free!!
:rotfl2: He'll be a couple weeks shy of 6 by this cruise, but yup, I'm cruising without him. He'll be staying at his dad's while we cruise! Mama gets to come out of her shell! But I'm taking him on a cruise a few months before this one to be fair, so it's all good!

Now, that mother sounds wicked!!!:lmao:

Not wicked! Just really into creating moments for her kids. Hopefully, she used a wash out hair color... (Last year for Christmas, she tried to put a large trampoline together in their rather sizable living room, so it could be by the tree in the morning. It didn't fit.)

Here are some pictures from this morning's leprechaun visit . . .

Leprechauns left shamrocks all over the porch and front walk . . . unfortunately (hide your eyes California people) it snowed!

Sophia had to find them all though . . .

She had a bagful!

Sophia left this morning to go to an indoor water park with her aunt and Amy's cousin. She is gone until tomorrow.

Carol and Doug - we got our Fish Extender today - Great craftsmanship! Cool!
John, I love the pics! She must have had fun finding all those shamrocks! :goodvibes

I think I will go for 'Little John' as I am only 5' 4" and 145 lbs. Mind you, in the Robin Hood films, Little John is 6' + and 250+ lbs.

Well, I am 6'1" and over 250 lbs . . .

No one has ever called me little though!

Later on, let us know how he is....I know I ask my DH how the kids are while I am out..."Oh they are just fine....." then I come home to 105 degree temps....MEN!! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
Exactly! But he isn't like normal men. He's quite a hypochondriac and if Tyler coughs once, he'll take his temp, then get the flashlight out and look down his throat to see if it's irritated! :rotfl2: Drives me absolutely bonkers because my philosophy is if he doesn't have a fever, he's fine! And by fever, I don't mean checking his temp just to see if he has one....I mean you know he has one by looking at him (ladies, you all know that lethargic look kids get with high temp) and then check temp to see how high it is to determine what next step to take. :scared1:

John1....I love the pic of Sophia looking at her glove! So sweet! Funny to think of waterparks in the snow. We don't have any indoor waterparks here!

Carolyn

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Can't imagine there'd be a high need for them in CA! We have a bunch of them in Michigan.

I think it is a good excuse for green beer! Seriously, ALL the irish bars, and there are quite a few here . . . Mulligan's, Bennigan's, etc.
Hmmmm....I wonder if I could get free green beer since my last name is Mulligan?! :rotfl:

John, I love the pics! She must have had fun finding all those shamrocks! :goodvibes

It is amazing how much she really wants to believe in real magic. She was up and out of bed this morning and searching just like it was Christmas!

The teacher did some things at school on Friday too . . . desks were re-arranged, things out of place, etc. due to those pesky leprachauns!

Time to go and start getting ready to go to dinner and then the game!

I bet that was fun to see!!!!

How is it you celebrate St Patricks Day over there and we don't here?
Good question! It does not even register on my radar and if they didn't do something in school, we probably wouldn't even mention it. DS kept getting pinched at his workshops on Friday, which he didn't understand because, as he put it, we're not Irish! They do have fun with it, though. One mother I know died her kids' hair green WHILE they slept and blamed it on the leprechauns!

You know what's amusing, in a kind of glad-it's-not-me, way? Watching her ever-suffering husband jump through any hoops she sets out for him. He's a real trooper, though, and just goes along with whatever plan she has. Their lives are not dull! And, their kids will have great stories.

Carolyn

Going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing "Laundry" does not get to be crossed off my list by the mere fact that it's washed, dried and engulfing the sofa? Suppose I better get back at it...thanks for the diversion...

Enjoy the game!

I forgot to mention last night because I was falling asleep while typing, but I saw a clip on ABC news late last night about a guy on a Royal Caribbean cruise who was so drunk, he fell overboard. He fell 60 feet to the water, managed not to get sucked into the propellers, and survived 6 hours treading water until he was rescued. Apparently, as soon as he fell, the Coast Guard was notified and started looking right away. Can you imagine treading water for 6 hours?! They said it's very rare to survive falling overboard, so he sure was lucky! I'd google it and try to find a link to post, but have to be at Tyler's dad's in less than 10 minutes to pick him up. Fortunately, he only lives a mile down the road! :thumbsup2

Great ideas! Until today on this board, I'd never heard of anybody doing that....I definitely will do some crazy things like that next year. :thumbsup2

We even took the food coloring on a trip to Bear Valley and made all of her stuff green there too!! She was so little and couldn't believe the leprechauns had found her in the snow!!;)

Just make sure you don't get any of it on your fingers! Hard to explain that one, but somehow, I did...:rotfl:

There is actually a thread on it on these boards with a link. I guess the Magic helped look for him also. Hopefully someone will report about it in their trip report.

John,

So cute!! I really miss those days...:sad2:

At least mine is wearing green and even pinched both her dad and I before we got out of our "not-green" jammies this morning!! The nerve! Of course, my pooh bear jammies did have a hint of green and I got to pinch her back!!!:rotfl:

We'll be trying some wine with the corned beef tonight, but I have Guiness and Bass for back up... Beer once a year, that's what I say!!:drinking1

Karen

Hi Karen, I just placed my order for a case of wine on your website www.winemiles.com. I shipped to EllaEnchanted c/o Cindy Boenitz. I shipped to my friend's house in NJ. Hopefully, that will eliminate the problems with shipping to PA. I sent as a gift with a note, "don't open and drink until I get there!" I think I got some pretty good choices, well you have such a great selection! Can't wait until it gets here, John and me will have fun sampling it all.

Hope you're having a Happy St. Patrick's Day! :thumbsup2

Happy St. Pats Day everyone!! Olivia and I are dressed completely in green. Poor DH is spending his entire day off trying to dig us out, as the driveway is covered in several inches of ICE.

We did get to Friendlys for lunch though, and ice cream. I got pistacio, which I love, but also because it's GREEN.

I LOVE Pistacio ice cream!!! :hippie: I might have to have some today, just because it's green... yeah that's it! :rolleyes1
