Rode Expedition Everest! Twice! During the EMH at AK.

I probably have the only kid that was not afraid of the roller coaster part of the ride, but afraid of the Yeti. She didn't want to ride it a second time until I bribed her a bit - and on the second time she was OK. Too bad I can't post the pic of us riding, but alas, I left the scanner at home!:rotfl2:

Here she is with the Dis Dino at AK

And in this picture if you look waaaaaaay in the back, you will see a green fence where they are constructing the AKL Villas.

After AK, we went to DTD, hit World of Disney, and needless to say, now we are all pooped and ready for bed!

John, once again....great pictures! Thanks for sharing with us....I'm so jealous! But what is EMH?

Glad you and your family are having a great time!

To continue with our hack job of a trip report - on to the ports. Will actually start with our second stop, which was Roatan, Honduras. Roatan is a small island just off of mainland Honduras. It is absolutely gorgeous. The fauna is so lush and picturesque (but don't have many pictures of it)! The water is beautiful, but the island itself is very impoverished. We chose to do a ship sponsored excursion to Tabyana Beach. The beach was on the west coast of the island and was perfect. There was a small reef off the beach that was easy to swim out to for great snorkeling. Even Jenna (7 years old) was able to make the swim and enjoy the beautiful marine life. Not much else to say. Below are a few pictures:

The pictures sure look like you guys were having a great time. The water looked amazing. Did you find Honduras to be worse than other ports as far as people selling things and such? A friend said she really didn't like her stop there, but your pictures make it look so peaceful and wonderful.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

OOOOOOOOOHHH.......ME LIKEY! Now, could somebody please help me pick my jaw up from the floor and wipe the drool off my chin?! :rotfl2:

Holly....you are back....any news?! How did the set up go?! :cool1:

By the way, I was crazy enough, just too lazy to add it :lmao: :lmao:

Have fun tomorrow....where in the world are you headed then?!:cool1:

Okay, here is my Annie story for today. I was able to get her into the doctor at 10:30am. (Everyone was like what are you back for...was there yesterday with Gretchen's broken thumb).

Annie has strep, bronchitis and pneumonia!! They did not put her in the hospital. She is on 4 drugs, including steroids for her lungs. I just keep hearing over and over the teachers telling me "Annie is bouncing back" " Annie is better today" "Annie will be fine" The doctor said she is very sick. She is also contagious.

I called the head teacher and left her a message with Annie diagnosis, in case the other 6 still have fevers or if there are more fevers. I asked her to ring me back....but no surprise...no call.

Annie heard me leave the message and she said "Are you trying to make my teacher feel bad" .. I hate admit it, but I think I was trying to do that...(mouths of babes!!) I just feel like they were not good stewards of my very special child. If I had left her there, the pneumonia would have only gotten worse. No wonder, she could hardly walk in by herself.

I know I need to get over this...but I am still so angry.

Don't blame you one bit, and you should call the admin and let them know. I am sure the teachers were trying to be optimistic, but this was dangerous!

Good afternoon/evening, Marilyn!

Jiko is in our top 5 favorite restaurants ANYWHERE!! :cheer2: We love the food, the ambience and the South African wines! They are really fabulous! I hope to bring them into the shop when we move into our larger space!:thumbsup2

Karen

We do need to try Jiko sometime!

Oh I hope that he is still there!:confused3

We saw him in December when we stayed at the BC.:thumbsup2

Is Art the older African-American gentleman? That is who greeted us. He kept saluting and smiling, and was really nice. That is the only guy I saw greeting incoming guests.

No set up.....the guy was definitely not my type. Very cynical, vulgar, negative, etc. Completely rubbed me the wrong way. But it was nice of her to think of me! I didn't stay gone long, but it was good to get out briefly. :thumbsup2

If anybody remembers my tuition problem resulting from taking a semester off, I had a bit of good news this morning. Yesterday I had sent one last pleading e-mail to school explaining my situation and asking for suggestions on what I can do to be able to continue my schooling. I asked that if whoever read it was unable to help, if they could please forward it to somebody who might have an answer for me. I received an e-mail from the Senior Accountant of the Billing Department this morning telling me she'll offer 5 monthly payments of $1,042.00 each, starting April 1. I wrote back and told her I really appreciated her offer, but there's no way I can come up with $1,042 in 4 days. So she offered me the 15th of each month, starting April 15th. I accepted, knowing it will be much easier to get a loan for the first couple payments rather than the full amount. No way can I come up with that amount each month, but at least it buys some time to worry about the remainder of the balance.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders because I now know I can continue my education! WOOHOO!!!!! Sure, the problem isn't completely solved, but it's a huge start! :woohoo:

Good news Holly!

Great Pictures!

OK, enough of this stuff. You guys keep it up and I am going to have to go and find myself a girl scout leader's convention!

John, once again....great pictures! Thanks for sharing with us....I'm so jealous! But what is EMH?

Glad you and your family are having a great time!

Extra Magic Hours - hours that the park is open either early in the morning, or extra hours added on at night for guests staying at Disney Hotels.

John...that is great! sounds like a fabulous night. Can't wait to get Jaide on EE and hope that she enjoys it. With my luck, I'll be posting a picture of her sobbing hysterically in line without the happy I went on it and loved it picture.

No plans for parks tomorrow. We may do MGM early. We have dinner at Ohana at 7:00, and MK is open until 11.

On the way to DTD tonight, I told Amy (quite innocently after we had just eaten at Pizzafari at AK) I know what I want tonight, but it isn't going to happen . . . she of course started laughing, and gave me that look. I was talking about my favorite Sundae at Ghiradheli's - I must be getting old.:sad2:

That is who I was thinking of when I asked. My girls still talk about him...he knows so much about disney and is fun to just talk to.

Hope you had fun at least. Your description of him leaves a little bit to be desired! :confused3

Good night Holly and Kaylee.

I need to turn in if I am going to get up tomorrow!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Made me think of "Where in the World is Carmen Santiago?" Does that show even come on anymore?

I don't know if that show is on anymore, but they were doing where in the world is Matt Lauer (from the Today show) more recently.
