Deb - you should get the NYC Ballet DVD workout.
I have Zena Rommett's class which includes a floor barre. I used to study there when I was dancing full time. She will take you through and entire barre routine while lying on the floor on a mat.....muscles have memory.....you're doing the stretch without it being against gravity. Then you stand up and do the entire barre routine again....you're warmed up and stronger. It's awesome. It's a two hour class.
Besides, I always liked the Joffrey Ballet. After I get good again using Zena's class as my workout, maybe I'll add other ballet companies as well. The more the merrier. I will probably add Jazz too. I used to study at Alvin Ailey as well. I could get their jazz classes on DVD. Oh I'd be so happy to do my classes again at home. I'm working on it. I'll get there.
