Good job on the ballet moves and the treadmill!
Have a good visit with Ray (and Mom  )

Thanks Monica!

Btw - can I get your master list when your done??? That'll make the bracelet thing easier :)

You can absolutely get a list when I send it to Lisa/LiserAnn, I'll send it to you too and to all those doing projects that need head counts and info. I hope it will help.

Ditto.....way to go Marilyn!

Way to go Monica too!

We are all going to look so great in our group picture!!!

Deb, Marilyn and Monica :thumbsup2
:yay: :yay: :yay:

Sounds like the planning is well under way, lanyards, meets etc :cool1:

I'll be back a little later to try to catch up, the boards are SO SLOW right now! I just don't have the time or patience right now, it's taking forever to even get from page to page let alone post:confused:

Kathe

That's so sweet of you to say Marilyn, but at this point.....I'm just getting started and taking it slow.....then we'll build up. I'm only doing a couple of counts of eight then stop.....not enough to make a difference yet, but I will get there.

It is great for not wanting to smoke.....so it's doubley good!!!

Firstly - I am going to scream soon about the slowness of the website.

Deb, you know, what you are doing is such a big step, and I know it will already be helping!!:thumbsup2

I thought it was my computer that was going so slow! Cleaned my entire kitchen while waiting for it change pages.

I'm logging off too, trying to write an article for 2-6 year olds to explain drugs and medicine - it's proving to be more challenging than my brain can explain. Then off to do another chapter of the worst class I've ever taken in my life!!!

Thank you Gydell, I got it from sierra trading post and I found a 20%off coupon code too. :woohoo: :woohoo: Total 77.91 with shipping
Thanks again:thumbsup2

Thank you both (tink1963 and gydell). :thumbsup2

My previous wheeled bag suffered at the hands of the DCL baggage handlers last May. So I bought an Eagle Creek Load Warrior 30 whilst on vacation at Christmas and wanted something as a 2nd bag (which could pack inside the LW if necessary).

So I've just ordered a Big Rig 30, with the 20% off coupon (I googled for the coupon - the site where I found it says it expires today - lucky!) - total $102.96 including shipping to the UK.

That should work out at approx £56. If I'd ordered from the UK Eagle Creek website, it would've been £98.95. :scared:

Even if I get stung for import duty and handling charges here, I should still be quids in. :cool1:

It's a deal you can't pass up. :woohoo: :woohoo: I googled the Big Rig 30 and could not find it anywhere under $135.00.

I should be all set for luggage now.:cool1: Now on to the packing:lmao:

My Explorer has heated seats....I use them alot!

I use my heated seats too.. of course it's usually JULY and I've just gotten into a HOT car...but it feels good for at least a minute... (no...my car doesn't have them...but my NEXT car will!!!)

Kathe,
We are arriving at WDW the morning of the 9th and will be staying at Port Orleans. Doing waterpark in the morning. Planning to be at AK on the morning of the ninth and probably doing the other waterpark in the afternoon. Our son (10) gets to do the planning for our WDW stay.

Joseph

I'd be careful about letting a 10 year old do the planning... my parents let me pick the place to stay one time in Plattsburgh NY and it ended up being a fleabag motel with a pool and miniature golf... :scared1:

Quote:

I love my electric blanket and electric throw blanket!

Be careful everyone... I fell asleep with an electric blanket once and almost set the house on fire...

Well, I got the reschedule date for DD's Kinder exam appt. and of course, its the same day as the other school we are applying to:lmao: :lmao: :scared1: :scared1: don't know which icon to choose!

Harvard...

OK, I found us a Dismeet for the night before the cruise at DTD. This is the place we can also distribute the lanyards. Guest relations helped me to set up a meeting for 4:30pm at the Dockside Stage across from the World of Disney. Each person/family can pick up food from any location in DTD and bring it to the Dockside stage and we can eat, meet and greet. PM me if you'd like to come and tell me how many in your party. We'll have about 90 min. to visit with each other before they set up for a 6:30 performance. I will keep in touch with the management at DTD to find out what the performance will be and to let them know how many of us will be there. Here is the map. World of Disney is number 28 and the stage is near the number 42. We'll see how well you can read this on the post. Thanks, Kelly

FANTASTIC!!! We'll be there!!!

OHHHHHH.... IT'S CLOSE TO GHIARDELLI'S!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Here's what I heard from the group from last year about the MCO Hyatt:

The Hyatt has a nice lounge area to the right of the registration desk. It's the same area that people will meet in to get on the DCL buses.

Yes this hotel was very nice indeed. They had great concierge services. We had made no plans for the day we got off the ship last time so after our limo dropped us off we were just "there" and had nothing to do until we flew home the next morning. I called concierge and asked about shopping and dinner and within 10 minutes had a driver waiting and reservations and was ready to go. Their bellhops also will get your bags from baggage claim which was great traveling with kids. When we took our flight home the bellhops took our bags to check in and breezed past the line and dropped them off. Even though I swear the bags were all overweight the check in girl said nothing and just chatted with the bellhop whom she knew by name.

The terminal and the DIS meet (and IS that 3PM in Promonade Lounge, or did I make that up?) will be good for distributing the rest of them.

Have we decided how we are going to pay for ours....or are we building a 'gift team' to contribute to the expense?

BTW I need ONE laynard....;)

....back to work...
I'll tell Peg you all said Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Peg:dance3:
I could be on a gift team:goodvibes Terminal to distribute is a great idea:thumbsup2

So, for lanyard distribution:
Gydell has volunteered to distribute at Grills,
Kelly (me) at the 4/19 dismeet in CA & DTD 5/9/08
Carol for the Hyatt/MCO dismeet 5/08 (post details)

Excellent!

My best guess is we'd be looking at about 15 people donating $20 each. I thought I'd read somewhere that it may have been started somewhere. If you are interested in being on a gift team PM me and lets see if we have enough people to do gift teams. Are we looking at around 400 people?????
I pm'd you:goodvibes

Gydell-Got it in mail today thanks:goodvibes

Checked with the secretary at my DS school today. She said the truancy program was set in place for parents that neglected their kids and/or didn't care(I volunteer tonz at the school...I practically live there) and for kids that struggle in school and they don't want to fall behind in academics(my DS is in the top in his classes) so she said I have nothing to worry about. She said usually what happens is the teachers go to her concerned over a child who is struggling in class and has tonz of absences and then the secretary reports it to the county but since his teachers are not concerned about his academics all is good for this trip:goodvibes She even said if he's close to the 18 day miss mark and he happens to be sick and has to miss over the allowed amount for the year (he's missed 1.5 day(s)so far) she won't report him and it's fine. :thumbsup2 Now we could actually get our plane tix...yes V we haven't gotten our tix yet ...waiting for ok from school:dance3: He'll miss the last 3wks of school(14.5days)and the last day of school is when we arrive to LA.

Deborah- let us know how the letter worked on the school...I'm sure it will work out:hug: ...especially since you could tell them its paid in full and arrangements are already set....and its educational:goodvibes

GROUP PHOTO INFO!!!!

I NEED SOME HELP!!!!

I just got off the phone with Kelly - the Group ressies person at DCL... She looked up the info for me for Photo services. I don't have a fax machine so can someone help out???

We need to fax Inventory Control at the following # 1-407-566-6910

They need the sail date, a person to contact with their phone number and any locations that you would like to use. (Pm me if you need my phone info, etc.) They also need to know what date and time you would like to do it on.

I believe we were looking at first sea day, right? And ideas for the photos were the secret deck? Deck 9? Lobby? WD theater?

Can you also please ask - I have this crazy idea... I'd love to see if they would let us take a picture up by the bow of the ship - by the crew pool... (with the "hidden Mickey" in the background...) just wondered...

Any other suggestions???

Deb - Grills doesn't take ressies for Friday nights. With a group as large as ours how should we do this? I figure we are over 30 people now with more to add I'm sure. They said the 1st person there can request tables next to each other and then we can wait. How long do you think we would have to wait? They need to take ressies! Maybe I'll ask Shirley.

Gydell, we could get there early say about 4-4:30pm and ask them to put the tables together for about 30 people. We'll probably have to sit inside though, but that's ok. I can even try calling them before I leave the hotel and say that I'm on my way, please start putting the tables together. It shouldn't be that crowded yet at that hour. I think we can do it. I wouldn't worry. We got there at 5:30 last time and it didn't get crowded until after 6pm. Unless you have a better suggestion? I'm all ears.

Happy Birthday Peg:dance3:

Hi

I leave it until this weekend as my husband see his friend for writing a letter to proof that he is covering their holiday in summer mean my husband is working through the summer holiday for them. (that is true) as two employers had no holiday for since they set up own business nearly two years. They were working with my husband before they left. Now my husband join in their job in March.

I wait for this letter then I write again to explain that we paid in full and had arrangements already set too.

I let you know what happen okay.
