speaking of movies- We went to see Cloverfield last night. Don't bother, it's not worth it, at least don't bother for a full price show, might not be too bad for a matinee. It wasn't bad, just wasn't as good as I wanted it to be....

I was a Hospital Pharmacist for 17 years. St Jude, Anaheim Memorial, Martin Luther, Hemet Valley, and VA Long Beach, then VA Portland. The latter was way behind OC and Long Beach when it came to standards of practice. I finally had to just quit. Now I work for an agency. I am loving it. My first Hospital job was at Anaheim Memorial. It was, at that time, the first Trauma Center on the West Coast. What an awesome learning experience working there. They finally gave up the TC designation. It was too costly. Trauma patients don't pay the bills. St. Jude took it over. Anyway...it was tops back then. Great hospital.

I know what you mean about Trauma Centers. I worked in the Emergency Dept. of our Level 1 Trauma Center for 20 years. Our ED always lost money (as do most ED's). I also was a flight nurse with our hospital helicopter for several years-talk about losing money!!! The helicopter started losing money as soon as the pilot flipped the on switch. Somehow the hospital feels like it makes money on the patients transferred in, or at least it balances out the money making part of the parent company. They are trying to turn our hospital into another Mayo or Cleveland Clinic.

Blast is back on tour!!! I'm going to see them on 3/16... Used to date someone in Drum Corps so this is a fave of mine...

Which Corps? Cool. I was a Bugler in the Velvet Knights. Blast was a favorite of mine too. When we saw it at CA, at the Hyperion, they used mostly Bugles, but when we saw the Show that came to Portland, they used mostly 'conventional' horns. I played French Horn and French Horn bugle. There is no drum line like a drum and bugle corps drum line. YES !!! I got to talk to several of the performers after the show at CA, and three of them were ex VK. That was cool.

Who the heck is Lynn Trefzger? Just give me one of those hilarious Ventriloquists and I'll be happy. I wasn't on the cruise that Saget was on, but I never did find him funny on TV. I liked him on Full House though. He wasn't a Jack Benny or Bob Hope, for sure, but I am not the best judge of a comedian these days. I am sure he has a lot of fans.
