Sorry Tyler's dad is adding more stress for you, but good for you for not arguing with him about it, seems in the past he takes a little longer to come around, but that he usually ends up doing the right thing?

Try this: "How about if we let him try it for 4-6 months to give him an idea of what it is like to understand life with his head not spinning. The ability to make decisions and be organized for once in his life will let him have a taste of how to do it and give him a chance to learn how to do it without the meds. A person with ADHD literally stands in front of something for minutes with their head spinning trying to figure out what to do first - often resulting in doing nothing! We lack the capability to prioritize. The meds may teach him how to do it without the meds." Tell him that is a quote from the drug guys. He may not know who we are where you live, but we are very famous in high end private schools here and are about to be nationally syndicated. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much! Great perspective! I'll definitely mention that to him. I need all the help I can get here. I never was a fan of meds, but when a kid has such extreme behavior, I think it can only help.

my friend just called me, she is booking a 2 week PC cruise in 2009 sailing from SanDiego to Fort Lauderdale.....airfare 1 way is almost $400 a pc....and an ocean view room for 2 is $4600 - I thought the room was ok but isn't that a high estimate on air?

That is high airfare. I still have to book a flight home, I can't find anything cheaper than $300.00 yet. I'm hoping it goes down. Last year when I was looking in Feb 07 for May 07 it went down to $200.00 so I am hoping it will this year too

Awhile back everyone was taking about the jeep tours on Aruba. There are just too many pages to go though to search I was wondering if you were planning to drive yourselves or do the tour? And also if there is a group that is being set up for this? Myself, my DH, DS6 and DD4 are interested. Any info out there? Thanks.

Well, apparently Wendy's closes at 9:30. A worker just came out and asked me if I'd mind if she started vacuuming! Subtle hint to get the heck out so they can close! I need to head to bed anyway. But I'm only 18 pages away from being caught up! Will try to catch up a bit more at work tomorrow. Well, that might not happen because I'll be almost 2 hours late because of the psychologist appointment in the morning, so my work will probably be piled up on my desk waiting for me. Yuck. Oh well! Hopefully I'll get my internet at home back on tomorrow and can catch up from home tomorrow night! WOOHOO!!!!!

Sounds like our DHs do very similar law...did we know that? My DH does a lot of contracts, IP stuff. It is stressful isn't it?? I hate not quite knowing what will be billed month to month. My OCD doesn't do well with it. Lisa

Not so much IP but contract negotiating more on business points direct with customers or to settle arguements. I'd feel better if my income was regular, but since I'm contract too it's up and down for both of us.

My back is so much better, thanks for asking. Still working 6 days a week, will be until this cruise, but it is going to be so worth it! I haven't done much in the way of excercise though since October because of the back pain, so I have to get in shape again so I can enjoy the excursions. We have a gym in our store, I have a membership but haven't been in some time. I'm planning on starting back next week. I'm hoping to go at least 2 or 3 times a week to start and just going slowly so I don't hurt myself until I build up some strength again.

I am coordinating renting jeeps on the island. There is a rental facility at the port and for the day - depending on how many we need - it will be around $75including everything. My plan was to be off the ship early, tour to all the major sites and then end the day at one of the beaches. Anyone can feel free to break away at any point. Aruba is relatively small and not all that much chance of getting lost.

I think it is indiviual cost too. On our las t cruise we had lanyards with the date and cruise name on it. They were great and thin. Then on the end we had tags with our dis name and our logo. I will take a pic and post tonight. I can as the guy where he ordered from and see how much they cost.

We also had them on the last cruise and they were lime green with the disney script on them. I was part of that and can get the info of where to order them. We ordered 70 and they were $4.00 each (actually a little less than that but we rounded up for ease of payment) They had the plastic tags with them also and I made up ones for the kids - we did not do the adults but that would cool to have that on them.

It was nice to be able to see a lime green lanyard and know instantly they were a diser!

Let me know if anyone wants me to help. We can probably just change the dates and it not be the whole set up charge as if we started from scratch - maybe??? I know the more we ordered the cheaper they would have gotten!
