Thought I would take the time to post a couple of pics from our November trip.

DH will kill me for this...

But he booked the Couple Massage for us... Very romantic and well worth every penny!! He isn't usually very romantic, and he had NEVER had a massage in his life before this. He enjoyed it as much as I and here are some pics:

Ted and I in the Tub!! Gorgeous day!! Too many bubbles!! We kept scooping them over the side, thinking that they wouldn't have a stateroom below us, and then when we got out we saw all of the bubbles on someones balcony!!:scared1:

That looks great. Wish I could get John interested in that. Hilarious about the bubbles!!:lmao:

Hello everyone. Once again, I had a crazy week. I apologize for my missing everything. My washing machine broke, and then my basement flooded. 2 seperate things. The walls are down in our basement now and the carpet is being taken away with the salvageable furniture tommorow. The good news is my washing machine was fixed after a week waiting for parts and I think I may have actually caught up on the laundry.

My mom took home a bunch of the towels we used during the flood so luckily they were not sitting in water for a week, but I had no idea how much I would miss a stupid washing machine.

DD is much better. She still has the marks under her arm, but they seem to be getting better so that is also good. And wow, Feburary 10th, really?

I am really going to try to keep up, but DD has the Utah Winter games in 1 1/2 week, so it may take me a sec to catch up.

Good Monday Morning!

To tux or not to tux.

When we went on our 4 night cruise with DCL back in '06 I was told that a suit would be sufficient for formal night.

Now I am reading that there is semi-formal and formal night on this cruise. I am guessing that the suit is sufficient for semi-formal night, but what about formal? I'm a little concerned about the amount of clothing needed to pack for this trip. We are also spending days in the park (WDW) prior to the cruise and time in DL after the cruise. Not to mention we have an extra day of travel each way (to and from Vancouver, BC & home).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated ....

Hello,
We are first time cruisers. We made our final payment last week. We're very excited.

There are three of us, DW, Heather, DS, Cameron (10) and myself Joe. Is there a master of list of cruisers? We are in SoCal, just north of LA, and were wondering if there are others from our area planning to be on board.

We have several questions that we will post at a later time.

Thank you,
Joe

:welcome:

BTW..I agree with all the chatter about groups. I think if you pm people and give them a deadline to respond to participate, if they don't their out. On our last cruise I coordinated a gift exchange..similiar to the fish extender...and I gave everyone a deadline of 45 days before to join up. So people had plenty of time to get their trinkets. We had 2 dis meets. 1 on secret deck 7 and the other in the bar on deck 3. Of course, we only had 20 people in our group. I did learn alot about the dis people. Of course, we're all awesome!
Good night all...
Steph

These being right after each other is apropos . .

Welcome!

Karen - 30 days out is kind, but not enough time to order anything that has to be special ordered. That is why I suggested the 90 days.

What did I miss?

If you right click on the QUOTE button and open select Open link in a new windo, to type your message. This way the other window stays open and you can keep track of where you were reading in the thread.

I'm sure I completely botched that explanation. I am not at all computer savy.

I plan on reorganizing all my cruise info this morning. I have been printing out all sorts of info. The pile is getting to big. I had been keeping papers in a pocket folder but it is bulging. I can't believe I'll have to upgrade to a three ring binder.

Someone on this thread recommended cruisecritic as a site to review excrusions. Thank you!

We are looking at the "Cabo My Way" excursion. The cruise critic site mentioned renting a car and going to San Jose, 20 min south of Cabo. I wonder if the DCL Cabo my way, would let us go out of Cabo?

On our last cruise, we announced that certain activities would be open only to those who signed up. This led many of the lurkers -- who never posted -- to come out of the woodwork.
Woody

Another thing we did on the last cruise was to post a list of all MIA screen names about once per week for several weeks right up until it was time to leave. Several people would know someone and contact them through email. That may not be how you have it organized though. Just a thought Liserann.

Lisa,
Mrs. Woody and I will be in San Diego on February 8 and 9. One of Mrs. Woody's favorite destinations is Extraordinary Desserts.
Woody

Just put this into my favorites. thanks, I'll get in the car right now and head down there.

We will be docking at point #5 on the map,

Thanks for that!

Lisa--
How far is San Diego from the Port in LA??? Do you know of any transportation companies that would bring you from the port to the San Diego Airport?? I checked Supershuttle and they don't go there.
I can get much cheaper airfare out of SD over LAX or even SNA.

2 hours, I'll find out about shuttle from out here.

I think it is about 2 hours. Though with So Cal traffic it could be 4!
4 is absolutely correct!

The majority of people where suits, but there are a lot of tuxes. Renting is popular because people don't want to take up there suitcase space with Men's shoes that will only be worn once or twice. Some people skip formal night and some show up in very nice clothes. Space becomes more of an issue than looking spectacular. And many use their luggage space for their pirate costume over their dress up clothes. On the 25 night many of us used a black blouse for both dress up night and pirate night and they looked very different and nobody notices. By the time we hit out 10th port on the Med cruise, people were coming to dinner in whatever they wore to the excursion that day and nobody cared!!!!!! On that cruise they were serving dinner 45 min. late and saving plates for people because they couldn't get back in time.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Welcome!:cheer2: :cheer2:

morning! my throat is even worse today!

Gargle with warm salt water several times per day. The power of salt water is amazing, not only for the throat, but for acne too.... not so much for blood pressure.:rotfl: Speakers and singers use salt water all the time.

So, we went to DL yesterday and had a weird thing happen. We always try to park in Timon and walk (for the excercise and time that it saves.) When we got to the turn in the line was all the way back to Harbor BL. We thought it was a tour group, so we walked past them and got up to the security where only one was open. So, it was a back up to get through security (must have been an hour wait) Just as we walked up to the other security they opened it (we were just lucky.) We went in for a few of hours and hit the rides (hint: always go to the left adventureland first, it is always less crowded than going to the right to tomorrowland.) But when we left 3 hours later the lines to get into DL were backed up all the way across the quad and backed into the CAd lines :confused3 :confused3 There were also signs all over the road saying that crowds and traffic would be high next week. What's happening next week? Anyone know??? I'll call DL today to ask.
Have a great day everyone. :hippie:
