They haven't covered that on the thread yet. You should go tell them, becuase they are all up in arms about the no air idea, lol.

didn't someone post the package prices for that somewhere? I can't seem to find it. I emailed for dive times...the website says 1pm, 730, 830, 930, 1030 - so unless they schedule more that day we'd have to do 1 or miss the dinner rotation.

I saw on Disney's Site or on one of the websites that they do a 2pm show for those who book excursions through a cruise ship so if you took a taxi out i'm sure you will be able to see it as well.

did you guys see this? In Feb there will be a new passport card, cheaper than a reg passport at 45 for adults and 35 for children.

That is great but remember that in order to FLY back into or out of the country you will need a regular Passport as those will not be good for air travel.

CONGRATS on getting your time off approved! :yay:

Thanks we are super excited we just have to send in the final payment! Then decide on where to fly out of!!!

Well guys, we've decided to make the final deposit on the trip and commit to going!!!! We bought our one way tickets yesterday and are ready to jump onboard.

I noticed several posts about smoking, we are the drug guys. Miles To Go is our company for drug prevention education in California. I'd be happy to help with any support I can, I'm known as the smoking nazi and have helped stop many from starting and many to stop.

A little about us: There are 3 of us, Jonathan (DH), Kelly (Me), and Zoe (DD4, will be 5.) We are drug prevention lecturers and speakers - sounds boring, but we've blended science with humor to teach in a really fun way. We live a few miles from DL and went on the B2B 25 day Med cruise last year

We are looking forward to this cruise because it is so much less rushed than the last one. We were exhausted when we finished that one. I'm trying to finish my Ph.D (I specialize in developmental and cognitive behavior and several other interests that I'd be happy to talk to anyone about later), so I plan to get some good reading done on this cruise. I can't wait to find out which movies will be onboard as well. My DH plans to do nothing but read.

We're really excited and feel a little more set now. Have a good day everyone.

Welcome! Glad your going to join us!

I want to thank everyone for their good wishes. They really helped to start getting me excited  for this trip again.

Could someone please email the username and password for the web site where all the info is? I have forgotten it and don't seem to have written it down anywhere.

I know this is old news but before I got off the boards there was a MAC debate going on. I just wanted to let the MAC users know that there are now two new converted PC users. My DH now has an IMAC and a MAC Book and I have a MAC Book Pro. We love them and at least mine will be coming on the cruise with us since I will be Blogging the trip for my friends.

I have noticed that everyone is discussing excursions. I just found them the other day and need to study them a little closer. I would love to maybe try a zip line adventure but not sure which one. Also, I am looking at maybe doing a Dolphin encounter. Is anyone putting together a list of who is doing which tours? We will be able to make reservations soon.

Does anyone know the exact 90 day out date? Do they count the day we leave or not? Is it the 9th or 10th of February?

Hugs:hug: :grouphug: and pixiedust: to all those that need it. Hopefully it will help you like it is helping me.

Carol

Glad your back into things and around! 2/10 is the 90 day mark!!!

I think Samantha's tooth will be coming out this weekend....it is hanging! I guess I need to get some cash or DD's ready.

Hope the tooth comes out soon! Disney Dollars sound great!

OK THEN if there are no objections, let's do it on the secret deck on 7 at 2:30 pm - right after lunch - on our first sea day - Monday May 12th.

We need to do it after our day at CC so we can all get some color in our faces, we don't want to look like winter yuck!

If this is not a good idea for any reason, please speak up now......or forever.....you know how it goes.

If it's good for everyone, we'll put it in the mini navigator that seaulater is doing and everyone gets one....also the master dis list is going to be in the mini navigator.....so everyone will be well equipped and well informed.

V....no excuses now......I heard how you missed a DIS photo in the past.....we want to see your family's smiling faces in our picture......so you have to be there!

YEA, I'm getting excited......making all the final plans to get this boat out of the harbor and into the canal........with all of you!

That sounds great I'll mark it on our plans so we don't schedule anything for that time!!!

I feel bad that I am not as talkative as some of you but I do :surfweb: everything I just am a little quiet.

We need some prayers:

My greatgrandmother died today at the age of 93. My grandmother (the one who was sick) is doing ok but they think it will get alot worse when she is at the funeral. We knew it was coming but it will still be hard on her.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this I lost 2 grandparents in 2007 and its hard but know that we are sending our thoughts and prayers to you

Is anyone getting a car service/limo from the port??? Does anyone have any info on it?

We were going to do a Van Service but after hearing about the poor service we decided to do a Van Rental from Avis.

I know the Sponsor on the Transporation board is FL Tours but haven't used them personally.

Happy Birthday John!!

I managed twice in a row and that was it! 2 hours wasn't bad going was it?

No, not bad at all. At first there was no line, so they gave me their admission tickets and I went to the fast pass line and got 3 fast passes and then as soon as the time hit, I got three more, so by the time there was a line, they had 6 fast passes for the end! So their last 3 times went by really fast!

DCL HOUSE PARTY

By the way, if anyone out there lives in Utah, or is close enough and wants to come to Salt Lake City, I am hosting one of the DCL House parties on January 26th at 7 p.m. Just PM me if you can come and I'll send you an invite!

Marilyn, you made twice on HTT, wow. I can do once on that, then I need a break, lol. I love it and it makes me giggle everytime.

Pj

Linda, I was invited to one in FL, haven't seen a DING fare yet to get me there, lol. I would love to attend though, sigh.....

Ok, so I'm thinking about planning another Southern Cal DISmeet. I've been busy with work (I work out of my house) so I would love help with suggestions as to where to have it at. Last time we all met at Storyteller's, which was a blast but expensive ($28/pp) because with our group size (38 adults and kids) they would only do the brunch. I'm fine with wherever...and DTD is fine also, if that's centrally located for all.

So, please PM me with your location suggestions and also if you'd want to come, how many would be in your group.

Thanks!

Holly-I'm so glad that you got a diagnosis for Tyler. Now you guys can get started on helping him to get on the right track! I'm sure it's a relief for you all.
Absolutely! And I'm sure he'll feel better too once I tell him the doctor has some ideas to help him out. That should be simple enough language to get the point across to him. :thumbsup2

Holly I think it is great that you are working toward helping Tyler thrive in life and school. My DB is a thick headed as your Ex was until recently. Both my niece and nephew most likley have learning issues, my brother did, and he has his head stuck in the sand. This year my niece is hitting a wall at school and her parents just see it as her being lazy, it is a little of that but not all of it. My brother has an above average IQ, yet he did not finish high school, he got "bored". And now he can't settle down to a job or type of job for more then a couple of years.

Pj
Oh no! It sure is a shame that some people have to be so stubborn about things. Good grief!

Hmmm.....I wonder if it would come quick enough for this cruise. Would sure save some money!
But it wouldn't do any good for me if we needed to fly home from somewhere on the cruise due to emergency, so I guess I'd better just go with passports.

Well, it's past 5:00....end of the day! I'm headed home! Have a great evening everybody! :cool1:

I came home to lots of clean laundry!! Thanks DH!! (but now he expects me to help him!)

It's my first time also.....I just discovered the DIS on the 11 night southern, quite by accident. Then when I got home, I logged on for the first time. This will be my first DIS pic and I'm so greatful that it's with this group.

YES BRING THE KIDS AND EVERYONE WEAR A DIS LIME GREEN SHIRT!!! So we can all look snappy!!!

Great we will be there and I will wear the lime green tee shirt:thumbsup2

Now I put it in my diary:thumbsup2

ok my frist draft for excursions:

Castaway Cay - pretty much beach it and maybe a bike rental $18 plus drink/souvie money

Aruba - jeeps ~$75 rental plus food/drink and souvie money

Cabo - water taxi to Medano Beach via Los Arcos, Sea lions and Lover's beach, hang at Medano and then back to ship. Water taxi is around $10pp, hopefully they discount for the girls...no big deal if not, plan on eating lunch at one of the restaurants at the beach so money for that

Acapulco - Cliff Divers early..not sure of the cost, then cab to a beach

PV - either rent a jeep and go through the sierra madre mtns to Chico's and other beach spots or walk from the port to the Krystal and use their facilities and umbrellas on the beach there.

PJ....so far it looks like everyone is going for this idea. No one has presented anything else yet. You might want to pencil it in on the website:

DIS FAMILY PICTURE

SECRET DECK ON 7 - Day 3 AT SEA - Monday May 12 at 2:30pm!!!

If we don't all fit squeezing in on Deck 7 we can always move to Deck 10 and do it. I hope we can all squeeze together because that would be an awesome shot taken from deck 10 down. I guess we'll see.

Don't forget the gas for the jeep and cars and entrance fees.
