Who was the buyer?
Good catch....

Who was the buyer?
It can be annoying Holly, so I try not to do it too often . . .
But like I said, some I just can't pass up pretending to be clever.
I am the guy who while driving is looking at all the signs on the roadside, and checking spelling, grammar, and syntax - I also read every sign while driving. Can really annoy Amy sometimes . . .

Hi Karen,
Oh...I'd love to own a wine shopI usually prefer a Shiraz or Merlot, but decided I wanted to try some new selections. So I went with Mango del Bruja from Spain(blend of 5) , Mas Janeil from France(Grenache,Carignan&Syrah) and Jekel (a cab) from California. I had some Fococcia (sp?) bread and rice crackers, antipasto and a few different cheeses. I had fun but none of these selections "wowed" me. I still favour Aussie or Chilean or South African wines
Which wines do you find you sell the most of?
Kathe

OK, on the last cruise, I did a lot of proof reading and spell-checking of other's posts - almost to distraction. I quit after a while, but some are just too good to pass up.
Re-read your post that I quoted . . . verrrrry carefully.
Just back from our EOY Manager's dinner at the Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain. What an awesome resort! We ate outdoors at sunset (80 degrees at 5pm). The terrace we were seated overlooked Mummy Mountain forward and Camelback Mountain behind us. It was a very nice event.
First job for Leslie at age 15 - lifeguard at Bear Valley resort in Tehachapi, CA.
First real job was as a GTF at the University of Oregon.
First job for Shawn at age 17 - prep at Mary's Pizza Shack. Those in the North Bay might have heard of this local chain. Cut the tip of his finger off on a deli slicer. Someone got a little more than pepperoni on their pizza that night! All the talk of Bodega Bay and the Russian River brings back many memories of high school.
Second job was at Robinson's at Fashion Island in Newport Beach (LiserAnn, too many things in common!)

Ok, if you are easily offended please skim through this. We had a vietnamese kid in our school. really nice, but, and I am totally serious, his name was phook phat dong. He went by phat because he was really skinny.
Few childhood stories:
My sister and brother thought it would be fun to play postman and went to all the neighbors and took their mail and then redistributed it (not in the right place).
Same sister decided to cut off her Barbie doll's pigtail. And then she cut my other's sister's pigtail.
My sister and neighbors were playing hide-and-seek. My neighbors and I then went inside to play another game. An hour went by and my Mom asked where my sister was. Oops. We had to call the police because we yelled and yelled the call and she didn't come. The cop found her asleep in the bushes of our neighbors.
Finally, real home alone: my family (6 kids) all went to the pizza joint but forgot to turn off the tv. They order the pizza, run into neighbors who say "we just want so-and-so to meet Lisa." They look around and realize no Lisa. I'm at home in front of the TV (six years old). They USUALLY turn off the tv before leaving. What gets me is that they actually ordered and hadn't realized I wasn't there until the neighbor asked!
That's it. Good-night all! Hard day at work and I'm ready for bed. Lisa

Reminds me of one of the brat pack films, Sixteen Candles, I think, with Molly Ringwald. They had an exchange student played by Geddy Watanabe and his name in the file was Long Duck Dong.![]()

That is too funny! And Leslie went to UCI also....I'm just older than you guys!![]()
Not to mention Leslie bought a Mac on campus at UCI . . . . . could it have been you that sold it to her????
It is possible, especially if she bought it at CompuTrends! But like I said, I'm older than you guys...I think she said she was there after me. I graduated in 1988. I did the Apple/CompuTrends "gig" from 84-87. My last year (87-88) I was student body VP for Academic Services and I was on the Bren Events Center Board of Directors so I didn't have time to continue with Apple Computer, which I loved. Such is life.
Older than "what guys"?![]()
