Ok, I am now caught up...
I have a blank copy of the Mickey Map design for anyone who wants to add in their own text. I will have to send the file to "Hey Ma!" (Mom323) tomorrow. I cannot send links yet. I still need a few more posts and PMs. If anyone would like a design PM me, I have nothing to do as of today. :bored:

Happy Fat Tuesday everyone!!

I wanted to post this morning, but got busy at work and suddenly it was mid-afternoon!!!

I hope everyone gets a chance today to be mildly decadent!
Personally, I'm thinking about picking up something sweet and chocolaty on my way home.

Pancake Day here!!! Made loads and ate loads. These aren't the chunky ones we love when we visit the US, but the thinner ones, more like French crepes! I have mine with Golden Syrup but John has lemon juice and sugar!! Yum!!:)

Do you call it Fat Tuesday for a reason?

Finally got caught up!

We would love lanyards braclets an leis 2 of each. On question on the bracelets, can smaller adults order from the kids order?

We also were not overly impressed with Palo. However we will be going back as I LOVED the grilled shrimp (didn't like my steak).

I've been reading a thread on the general cruise page about what people don't like about DCL!!! ... last night is disappointing with everything closing down,

Has anyone else ever gone to "Pub Night" on the last night? Some of the crew members do this skit called "If I Were Not Upon The Sea" that is hilarious!:lmao:
Also, there was a really neat photo op with all the characters in the atrium on the last night, as I recall.

oh yes, we love this!:) Very funny, have seen it twice now:):rotfl:

Yep, Fat Tuesday is like Mardis Gras! Decadance and indulgence prior to lent :thumbsup2 (basically you over indulge in whatever it is you are planning to 'give up' for lent). Don't know where the exact term Fat Tuesday came from though.....I'd look it up if I weren't just on my coffee break.

DEFINATELY checking out Pub Night in December.....crashed and burned last cruise...just couldn't stay up (too much sun at CC and too many BBC's in the hot tub afterwards!)

Oh duh!

Mardi -French for Tuesday

Gras - French for fat

Good morning, Marilyn!

Thankfully my husband is as into Disney as I am and our DD has been "somewhere Disney" every year since she was 18 months old! My DD and I even went to WDW on our honeymoon!

It is wonderful to have other Disney lovers to chat to and there are so many other wonderful things that are gained from this correspondence!

Hope you have a lovely day! Our weather is about to become wintery again (I am secretly glad as we really need the rain!) but today was lovely again, though back to the 40's by early evening. They say we may even have some snow on our mountains and peaks! I know, I know, all of those poor snow bound DISers would love to give away some of their snow to us!

Karen, wife of been2marceline
Hi we are Disneymooners as well, we went to WDW. :)
We went on our first Disney cruise for our 30th Anniversary.:)

Just a quick note - haven't caught up at all in the postings yet.

Jim is playing around with the logo to see if we can make name tags using the logo to go with the lanyards.

I can't remember who did the original logo but would it be possible for them to email the original logo to shipofthieves@gmail.com?? We'd like to move some of the lettering around to add in the names but the copy of the logo that we have has been resized to the point that it has extra lines in it and it won't allow him to move the text around.

Thanks.

Fiona
Hi, I sent you a Pm. I'm hoping Plutobrat has seen this and has been in contact with you.

Ok - I'm back from a 2 day hiatus from the DIS (not by my choice, really).

As it turns out - we almost lost my sister after she gave birth to Sydney - it was really touch and go for a bit. Lisa is FINALLY out of ICU and into a regular Maternity ward room. I was able to take my nephew Ian to meet his new baby sister yesterday, and got to meet her myself. She is precious!

My sister is still in a lot of pain, but appears out of the woods (THANK GOD!!). Thanks to those of you who sent prayers, PD, hugs and thoughts her/my way - VERY appreciated.

I even told my sister & brother in law that you guys were saying prayers and sending good vibes her way, and even though she really doesn't understand me (and my Disney ways :rotfl2: ) she was really touched that you guys would do that for a stranger. Thank you again.

Will be in & out this week - between caring for my nephew and going to the hospital, not sure when I'll be online. I will also try to finish catching up (I'm so glad there weren't 30+ pages for me to catch up on).

I'm FREEZING here in MD - wish I was back in FL!!!

   To your sister and her family. It's supposed to be in the 40's all week, almost a heat wave. ;) Today it reached 50. :cool1:

no- my problem was I made it for everyone in the family and so many people were upgraded, changed cabins etc and I didn't have a good list to go by....

Hopefully that wont happen so much with the repos since they sold out so quickly & have waitlists to fill in the cancellations. There shouldn't be too many opps for people to upgrade at the port. Between everyone who switched to 12s at the 30 day point to save money & those who upgraded at the port...keeping a list current was a nightmare! :scared:

On the 11 night on the Wonder in September, they did an "adult only" crew talent show in the Walt Disney Theater one night. For the final "skit" they did "If I Were Not Upon the Sea". Since it is usually in the pub the final night, alot of people had not seen it (although we had many, many Castaway Club members on the cruise).

I have to say, even though I had seen it before, it was one of the highlights of that trip. We had it videotaped by a friend and it is hysterical.

That's a good point, which I didn't think about! Just before we sail I'll double check the list and hopefully it all work out. (Famous last words.....right!)

BRAT!!! Did you send them a PM? What do you mean you have nothing to do?

Love,
Hey Ma

When we played it we did it with gifts (little treat bags). Everyone was given a Mickey magnet and as you 'tagged' the first stateroom on your list you put the magnet on their door and left the gift. The idea was as soon as you were tagged, you tagged the next person on your list, with the magnet you'd just received and the treat bag you brought. We had 20 staterooms playing and you are obligated to keep things moving...some folks got kind of anxious if a couple of days went by and they hadn't gotten tagged and just went ahead a delivered the bags. The treat bags had thing like glow sticks, postcards, pencils, pirate stuff, magnets and then some were a little more elaborate.

Thanks for the explanation. We just passed the Mickey around and that was fun. Left the gifts for the Fish Extenders.

By the way, what is a fish extender used for? I saw the picture of it, but i wasn't sure what people use it for!

I also ordered a fish extender and I do not even know what I a supposed to do with it!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

For those who want more information about the Fish Extenders I did an article and had PJPoohBear put it on the Web. It tells how they came to be and what people put in them. It also explains how my DH and I came to make them. If you don't have access to the web site just PM PJPoohBear and I am sure she will see that you get it.

It's something you hang from the fish outside your door (hence the name) and you get mail and little goodies in the pockets.

That's it in a nutshell.:rotfl: :lmao:

That's what I was thinking Lisa-that probably since the cruise is sold out ALREADY!!! that the cabins won't change all that much. That's what I'm hoping anyway. We'll see once I actually get onboard!
