Judging by the traffic going out of town, half of the bay area went up to Tahoe!!

It is glorious here as well 77 yesterday and around 70 today! Wish we had gone to our place in Bodega Bay, but it is booked for the weekend.

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend, even if you are watching it snow!

Karen, wife of been2marceline

Yes, we are watching it snow . . . AGAIN! :sad2:

I think the lime green leis are a little less ostentatious the the boas we did...they were a bit over the top!

I supose I could bring the boa and my tiara for formal night? :lmao:

I love the boas! I'd vote for them over leis except boas might be a little too warm in late May!;)

Ditto. We did NCL in October, 2003. Was not impressed with the freestyle dining. Everytime we went we had to wait for dinner, and I hate re-explaining everything to the servers every night. One night we went to the buffet and when my husband doesn't find something to eat then you know something is wrong. It definitely wasn't the Disney experience!

How could it be????
:goodvibes
However, it is a great way to island hop.

That's my expectation.

There is a great excursion on Kauai called "Tubing the Ditch". You go onto a private sugar plantation and you inner tube down the ditches through the tunnels and stuff. it was a blast. I highly recommend.

Since we're diving there we probably won't have time for another excursion, but I'll put it on my list for my next visit! Thanks!:goodvibes

Good morning. Less than 2 pages to read through this morning instead of the usual 10 to 25!!! Your holiday weekends must be going great!! Enjoy.

Yes, everyone got out of dodge!! Except us!! We are still around looking at the DIS board!! Probably not a big holiday in the UK, is it?

No, not a holiday at all, though last week and this is half term for our schools here.

Now your Memorial Day coincides with our Spring Bank Holiday. That means Disney etc are busy with both countries!

Yes, and the rates reflect those holidays! I was just looking at our Easter Break and the rates are much higher during that week.

I'm off to bed now, almost 2:00 am, have a wonderful day!

Good morning. No more snow here just cold although not as cold as it has been. I sure hope the groundhog was correct and spring is just around the corner.

Saw Arthur and the Invisibles yesterday - it was cute.

Good morning fellow Thieves!

Well, it looks like I'm finally getting my summer vacation finalized. Chicago sister and I will meet for five or six days in Breckenridge, CO in August. Looks like I won't be using time share points for this, so there will be some points left from last year that I will have to use up. Hmmmmmmm. let's see, there's Peacock Suite in ANAHEIM as a possibility. Gee, a DIS MEET in the spring with 'free' lodging means I could hang out for a few days at Disneyland :thumbsup2 Aren't some of you folks heading that way in May?

Woodmeister......I'm STILL thinking about that dinner at Sassi!!!

Yep, as soon as I get this summer thing booked, I'll be bugging LiserAnn and everyone about a DLR meet! I need some Mickey Mouse!:mickeyjum

and Happy Sunday all!

it's a nice 50 degrees here...supposed to go up to 65 tomorrow thak goodness. My nail beds are blue!

I have managed to scrub my bathroom and am on my third load of laundry this morning. Yuck@ - but someone has got to do it I guess. Going to run to the store later this morning. DH is working today so it's just me and the girls. If only I could get them into the cleaning fun!

also - I believe someone posted about tux rental that it is the same price for the 15 nights as it is the 7 nights? Can anyone confirm?

and wow - did you guys see Britney's hair? Wow....I read about it on the CB and had to go to People to check it out.

Hello everyone, from a very poorly feeling 'thief' :(

Just on for 5 minutes to cheer myself up after a horrible time. Thanks to you all for the good wishes and prayers and messages :grouphug:

On Friday morning I woke up feeling very unwell, with the stomach flu. Mid morning I blacked out with the pain (poory dh very worried when he couldnt reach me by phone and drove home luckily!) and then ....well, you don't need any more details, suffice to say Mark took me to our local hospital's Accident and Emergency and I spent the day on a drip having tests. A nasty bout of gastro-entitiritis with an infection apparently...yuk!

I know I need to lose weight but not this way please!:confused3

Anyway, I'm home being fussed over, and at least I have holidays to dream about eh?

Thanks again to everyone, and I'll try and catch up with all the many new pages soon
