Maybe we should have a door decorating contest! We did a fish extender decorating contest last cruise and it was a blast. I'll see if I can locate a picture or two of the winners.

There was a small group of judges who went around and decided the winnners. There were different categories and you signed up beforehand I think. I'll have to go back to that thread and look!

We had such a fun time judging the contest. It consisted of myself, pahrumpgirl - Carol, krdisneybound - Kay and her sister Linda. We took a picture of each extender then met in Kay's suite and looked at each one on the computer.

It was a very hard contest. I can tell you the childs' category was really tough!

There were prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd palce in, I think 3 categories, children up to, I think age 12, then teens and last, adults only.

We even had to call some of the childrens' staterooms to ask the ages of the children, they were that good!

The prizes were Disney Dollars and those that didn't win got a Participant ribbon and a magnet with a bumble bee on it called "the Boo Bee" prize!

As I said, it was tough to judge. But we had a blast doing it and I think everyone enjoyed it too.

I have no creative bone in my body so it was great to see those.

Leslie-how did you make the fish extender? Did you sew it. So darn cute, I gotta know!!! Perfect for a 15 day cruise.

Actually, there was a very kind couple that were nice enough to make loads of these for the folks on the Southern Caribbean cruise. Can't thank them enough.

When the website gets tested and all broken in, will the rest of us get access? Pretty please???

You have probably read some of our post about taking our children out of school. It is a hard decision.

I have read some of those. It is not a question of whether or not I am willing to take her out of school the last couple of weeks of school (I am willing! I am willing!) It is a question of what kind of trouble I will get into with the school.  I fully believe that my child will benefit from this cruise and the exposure to culture in other countries more than the little she will learn in the two weeks that she will miss. I am not saying that she wouldn't miss ANYTHING at school, just that the benefit outweighs the cost. I feel confident about that.

Another cruise booking!!!!! We're off on a western cruise on May 5th this year.....we'll be there for our anniversary this year too! It's a 'leaving work' and valentines present!

We were supposed to do the western in '05 but the hurricane meant we did another Eastern again (not that I minded...a cruise is a cruise hey?)

Anyway, looks like we're off in 2 months then....must have alook at the threads for this cruise now!:dance3:

I'm soooooooo lucky!:yay:

Yes, you are sooooo lucky!!!

Have fun planning this unexpected cruise.

well after some arm twisting....Red Lobster!!! Thankfully, we got there around 5 and were seated and eating almost immediately.....when we left the place was packed!

OMG, we are watching Dead Man's Chest...and is the guy from Tombstone....Curly Bill in this as a bit part - after the "Singapore"? I guess I should be askign Todd!:confused3

Yummy, I love the Red Lobster, it is my favorite restaurant in the US

Mom, you are still at 320x320 and 140 k, I think the limits are 200 high and 500 wide for each photo, with a 50 k limit for up to three photos.

I know!! Do what you think is right and what you think is best for the family. They put the fear in everyone that is for sure. It has to be a personal choice no matter what you end up doing. If my child could not handle it academically I would not be doing it. You only know what is best. If you get to go that will be great.

Hello - I have been trying to keep up with the posts but gave up and will try to read as I can. Our family will be cruising this wonderful repo cruise with all of you.

I am doing this cruise as a surprise gift to my hubby who will return from Iraq for the 2nd time several months before this cruise - so this will be a great time for our family to spend time together.

By the time we take this cruise it will be our 3rd Disney cruise = we took our first cruise this past April and we are hooked!

We homeschool the kids who will be 11 and 13 on this cruise and they are looking forward to cruise - especially after we do bookwork the months leading up to the cruise about the PC!

I hope I will be able to keep up with things for this cruise - I know I will never be one of the top 28 posters to get access to the web site but will try to keep up with things.

I hope to find several other families with children who will be around the same age as mine to correspond with and/or families in TN.

Now back to reading all these messages!! Any chance of sub groups for messages?

Looking forward to meeting everyone in person!

Krisann
