Okay, the last few days were great. Filled with baseball tradition, the L.A. Coliseum on Saturday, opening day yesterday.

Today I went to see my primary care doctor for my 4 month check up. Got good news and bad news. But worst of all, I mentioned the cruise and she made me get a Hep A and Tetanus shot. One in each arm, she said I would be sore, I can not lift my arms above my head! And I have to do it again in six months. Next time I am keeping my mouth shut.

Has anyone else done this shots?

Joseph

Doing them on Monday. And I have a real phobia about needles ....:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I asked my doctor and he said no and since we live pretty close to each other I think you probably could have skipped them. I'll be  on the boat!

Are you doing both? I was not even planning on it. She did not give me much of a choice. She said if we were just going to the beach on excursions, she would not make me take them. But with our plans, she got really pushy.

I am known as the doc of no needles around here....won't do shots on kids or blood draws....can't stand seeing kids cry! Now, fear of needles, that was gone in college when I was having to get blood work done 2x per week (the reason I headed off to natural medicine!) Just picture yourself sitting there with the bandaid on and the shot all done, and you'll forget all about being nervous!:goodvibes

I'm so far behind, been so busy, I'm overwhelmed...but Kaylee, I had to comment on this....I wondered why it was called the big fig also but didn't want to seem like an idiot! Now I get it!!! :lmao:

I thought you were on vacation. Ryan told Ethan you were busy and I didn't see you around.

How about that new chicken bowl with the gravy and corn and potatoes and chicken? Jon thinks it is gross and he won't even try it but it is good.

My brother was trying to covince me that it was ok to eat since they took out the Transfats... But what about all the others, I asked!!!

Please remain seated. We will get this ride going for you in just an hour!

& Please, no flash photography...

Oh my heck, I am so laughing!!!

I had a goldfish that ate every other goldfish I had in the tank. It was huge and scary...

I had one that thought it was a sailfish... kept jumping out of the bowl... had to put a strainer over it to keep it in... got tired of doing mouth to fish resusitation...

ok kids fed, Wilson too the trash to the street (good boy, as that is Daddy's job) Molly is done with her homework (only cried over it twice tonight) now I'm ready to dish, what up, no more sports ok??? shoes let's talk shoes!!!

8 pairs so far... not taking all of them on this trip...maybe only 7...

Sorry!!!

It is a VERY salty BLACK yeast-based spread that is incredibly good for you. You put it on sandwiches, toast, crackers etc...Aussie kids are brought up on it, and it is usually one of the first things we all eat...

It is made from the by products of beer production.....

It is YUM !:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It ain't your mother's peanut butter...

did you try Payless? Stride Ride? Nordstrom? Those were my haunts for Molly when she was little.

Oh what a spread!!! From Buy one Get one to take out a mortgage on the house!!!

I would loved to have skipped them. Blue Shield does not cover Hep A, unless you have Hep B or C. She knows that I am in ministry, and we have a tendency to visit other countries at a moments notice, and the fact that I am on several heart related meds. Oh well, it's done. We begin our trip in 30 days!

I do believe that is the plan. Not sure about the Tetanus, but I do know it's been awhile since I ahve ahd one so more than likely.

I thought you were on vacation. Ryan told Ethan you were busy and I didn't see you around.

Vacation...ha ha! With Drew in kinder I have about 3 hours/day to run errands by myself, but now I've been doing that fitness boot camp and it seems that 3 hours is consumed by working out, showering, eating a healthy meal and then picking Drew up. So now I have to take him around to do errands, which he doesn't mind but this exercising is seriously cutting into my dising time! Work has been real busy (I work from home, so the work really never ends). And there's some stuff going on with my mom so I just feel a lot of pressure right now and I really miss getting on the DIS, but what can you do?!

Yeah right. It doesn't work for me. I just close my eyes and try and think of a merry thought. "Any merry little thought?" Yes any merry little thought.

Think of the presents you've brought
Any merry little thought
Think of Christmas, think of snow
Think of sleigh bells Here we go!

I had a tetanus shot in 1996, when I had a nasty run in with a large kitchen knife. Long enough that the doctor said to get a booster.

Disneylander's, is Roger Rabbit's ride really spinny. I get ill on spinning rides (can't ride teacups, can't Spin on Buzz etc.). Can I ride or should I stay away? I have only been to DL once before and can't remember if I rode it. We are using ride max and will only be there one day so I don't want to get sick.

Thanks for the replies about Roger Rabbit's ride. Between what you said and mixed reviews, I think will skip it. Some got sick, some didn't, but better safe than sorry.

You control whether the car spins or not. The queue area is great and I really like the ride. We've gone through spinning and not spinning - so we could actually see everthing. We liked the ride both ways.

I'm up to 6 pairs - and still need 2 more. The one pair I got are the cutest yellow slingbacks. I need shoes for my formals - yep I bought 2 gowns at Penney's sale yesterday. The were 1/2 price so I got 2 gowns for 150. Now to find shoes and accesories - and since the dresses were so cheap I can spend more on the other stuff :thumbsup2

And that's all that matters, no really, that's ALL that matters!

Don't wonder how of why.....

or, depending on the verse

Like reindeer in the sky......

Ok Ian I found your first MUSTHAVE accessory for your Smart car:

You can find them here: www.windupkey.com

As for a name....

SpeedBump seems right to me.

I never would have gotten to work in one of those today (or any other time this winter for that matter). As per usual I took my studded tires off yesterday and put on my all-seasons. So this morning I head to work and drive through a massive snowfall. Looking at the forecast we are now to get more snow all week. You know, Global warming can begin anytime, I'm ready and waiting.
