Ken,

Need i say Original 6.......or....previous cup winners

Sorry about the Ducks this year....their time has come and gone...:dance3:

Let's see who can recognize that crest from the past....:lmao:
Canucks?

They have that jersey on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame for Vancouver. I thought it was their newest, obviously I did not read the caption. Hey I was there to learn about printers and supplies.

Pj
Loved the Hockey Hall of Fame! Only been there once, back in 1998 or '99. Need to go back again.

Found this on TMZ... (yes, I look at gossip... :rotfl2: )

Star Jones just got off a Disney Cruise... Gee... she didn't have just 2 pieces of luggage, now did she??? (I count 6!!!) (make that 7) I think she has my Luis Vuitton luggage!!! :sad2:

The original article, if you can call it that was posted on 3/31 and it says she got off on 3/30... That much for a 3 night cruise???

She has the new Castaway Club gift also (the red bag on top), must mean she has cruised on DCL before.

Well hopefully the behavior will change quicker than later. I hope the school speeds up the process so they can help too.
Just got a phone call this morning from the resources teacher (special ed). After the principal received our letter requesting they start the IEP process, they forwarded his neuropsych eval and OT eval the school did on to the school psychologist for interpretation. We have a meeting this Thursday with the principal, resources teacher, school social worker, school OT, and school psychologist to discuss what services and accommodations they think they can offer Tyler. They're moving VERY quickly and I'm quite surprised because every doctor told me this meeting wouldn't happen until the beginning of next school year since this year is almost over. They're already voluntarily taking him out for special classes, so they're a bit ahead of things. Good school! :thumbsup2

*****April Fool's Day******************

So my 85 year old father just called me - he calls me about every hour to ask if I have heard anything about my brother, and I keep telling him I will call him when I do . .

This morning, I went over to get his medication sorted for him, and he tells me he put his hearing aid in. I yelled at him last night for not wearing it. So I start asking him if he needed me to bring him lunch. He said "Lice"? I said no dad, LUNCH. He said "Light bulbs"? Then I had to make the hand motions of eating. I am going to guess the batteries are dead.

Back to the phone call. He called again to ask about my brother, and we went through the song and dance again. He told me he just ate, etc. Then he tells me he found one of my buttons on the floor after I left. Stupid me, I am looking at my shirt and saying Dad, I don't think you have one of my buttons . . . and he blurts out "April Fool"!

Just goes to show you when you are caught up in the seriousness of life - blammo - you slip on one of Bobby's banana peels!

So I fell for this one too . . . when will I ever learn?

Well, no time to catch up again . . . I've had a bit of a day.

Just when I was catching up this morning my brother called - he was supposed to go back to work today after break (he is a teacher) - and his feet were so swollen he could not even get his shoes on. He has extreme fear of doctors and hospitals, and I had been trying to talk him into seeking medical care for over a week.

I got him to call off work, make a doctor's appointment, and then I had to take him to the appointment. I had to drop him and leave him because I could not leave the office for so long a time.

My brother is extremely obese, and he looked ashen. He had difficulty even walking to and getting in my car. I think I have mentioned that my father lives with him.

Later in the afternoon he called to tell me I had to take him to the ER, he was retaining fluid, but they were afraid to give him medication without tests. The whole way to the ER he was freaking out on me - I thought I was going to have to slap him to get him to calm down.

I got him to the ER, got him admitted, and had to go home to get Sophia and my son dinner (who had brought some friends to watch the game). Can you say Olive Garden carryout? I had to calm down my dad, get his medication ready for him, and keep answering his calls wondering what was happening. Can you say 85 year old man with time on his hands?

He just called a little bit ago. He was admitted. He is anemic, and they were giving him 3 units of blood. He thinks he will be released tomorrow (who knows?). Meantime, I have to get to my dad's in the morning again to get his medicine ready for him. Take him lunch, take him dinner.

Oh yeah, and I have this job that keeps getting in the way. Now, what would have happened if this happened on May 11th? I know many of you are in similar positions with family - we should all say prayers for each other.

Poor Amy is dealing with my frustration half the world away, even though she gets to sit by a pool and have her feet massaged. I barraged her with email during the day because there is no one else to talk tol

Anyway - miss you guys - wish I had more time to spend, but it is bed time for Sophia!
   Oh John, I'm sorry all this is going on. :sad1: Hang in there and try to hold onto your sanity even though I can only imagine how hard this all is. Unbelievable how many families in our group of cruisers is going through so much at the same time. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Hugs to you and every other family in our group going through problems too. We all sure do need this cruise very badly.

Good Morning

I still busy and have not catching up some pages. I will read it later.

I saw Marilyn forum about luggage missing.

I thought oh please don't want end up again.

Because last Med Cruise after the Cruise, we came home and our luggages went missing for several days. My luggage went missing for almost 3 weeks. I was not happy. That was British Airway!!

Also I remember on first day on the Cruise I went up to customer desk and saw lady slapped her husband's face and she was so mental - screaming and tear up things. Later on I find out that her luggages went missing too on frist day on the Cruise.

I hope this time, smooth.

I heard Heathrow terminal 5 is a nightmare now.:sad2:

Now I sold Olivia's clothes on ebay so I better go and start packing it and post it.

Some clothes are new and only worn once some new clothes now too small, unbelieveable that why I am selling it ;)

I will put photos of Ian and Keith soon.

On our Med. Cruise July last year, there were 135 pieces of missing luggage when the cruise started! One lady (who had obviously been drinking a little too much) told me at the Golden Mickey Afterparty that she was wearing the little black dress from one of the cast members who was on the entertainment staff. She also told me "and I'm not wearing anything underneath!". TMI.....didn't need to know she was going commando.

Anyway, on the last port, I got in the elevator with one of the CM's from Guest Services, he had 2 pieces of luggage that he was delivering to a stateroom. I said "oh more luggage showing up?" He said they were down to about 34 missing pieces, the best cruise they had thus far in the Med. with missing luggage showing up!

:scared1:

This is cracking me up... it has been the coldest winter in a long time here. Every day the weather guy says, "we are still about 10 degrees under our norm!"

GOSH.....I WAS JUST IN CALIFORNIA AND IT WAS 92 DEGREES!!!!! COME TO UTAH, IT WAS 19 THIS MORNING AND WE HAD SNOW YESTERDAY!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Glad you're okay, Holly.

Before I had DSL, I had dial-up. It was so embarrassing for DIS chat because I was always a step behind (Jackie might remember).

For example:

Smith: I won the lottery
Smith: but then my wife left me
Woody: Hey, that's great!
Smith: Then my neighbor paid back the $200 he owned me
Woody: Oh, that's so sad.
Smith: turns out he was seeing my wife.
Woody: Can I have some?

Woody
:rotfl: Oh yeah, that would be a bit awkward! :lmao:

Ok, I know I am behind the time, but I finally watched lost from the week before last...the next new episodes don't start up until April 24...that means only 2 episodes before we leave....aargh...I hope my tivo doesn't fill up!
You can always watch them online like I often do. :thumbsup2

I actually have some good news to post! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Our DS, Mike, has decided to attend Duke Law School this fall. He didn't get into Stanford, and NYU didn't offer him any money, but Duke offered him a scholarship. I was rooting for Duke the whole time! His dad and I are so happy! He is onlly 10 hours away!    (sorry west coasters, but CA is just SO FAR AWAY!).:yay:
CONGRATS! Great news! A scholarship sure is wonderful for law school! Does he have a full scholarship? Mine is only 25%, but every bit helps!

YAY MIKE!!!!!! :woohoo::yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

15 years ago I lost my home, 6 cats and every single thing I owned right down to my shoes and baby book. EVERYTHING, but I had my memories and nobody can ever take those away.

Kelly - this sounds eerily similar to my story - sorry to ask, was it to a fire? I also lost everything I ever owned, and I mean EVERYTHING, 14 years ago to a wildfire, and you are so right, no-one and nothing can ever takeaway my memories, that are especially poignant now since both my parents have since died from the stress of that event - but they are always in my heart. Now I try to make wonderful memories for my little girl...

You threatened it!!!
:lmao: I really do think it reads my mind sometimes. So count me in the paranoid club. Note to self: buy more tinfoil to cover my head to block the computer's mindreading efforts.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great news!
Oh, here's another cool thing. Tyler's karate teacher was talking with me on the phone about some things, and we got around to some things Tyler does in class (the licking his sleeves & other things), and he wanted to assure me that there are many kids in their classes with similar issues and even a few Aspberger kids and he wanted me to know that they work around whatever differences each child has. I told him the official diagnosis, sensory processing disorder, and told him nobody I know has ever heard of it (including me until recently), and he told me his brother was diagnosed with that when he was around Tyler's age! I couldn't believe it! He told me the doctors told his family the best way to explain it to somebody unfamiliar with it is that it's a combination of ADHD-like and OCD-like symptoms. That's a PERFECT description! It feels good to have a way to explain it to people now AND to know of somebody else who's dealt with this. :goodvibes
