I don't really have anything tropical for the girls....John has a ton of Hawaiian shirts....and I have a tropical looking dress. I went to Dillard's and the coverups were outrageous...$68! That's insane! I am hoping to drop a few pounds and then take my gift card on my shopping spree....!

beginning of another week. I am determined to eat well and exercise this week! I swam quite a bit yesterday and was hoping to swim this am, but will just do it this evening.
I brought my zero point soup for lunch...yum! (not)

Which 0 point soup are you refering to? Is it the progresso brand. If so try the southwest zesty one. It's very good. Nice and spicy. At least for me. I'm not a super hot(spicy) eater.

John, I agree.

I heard the near fist fights were with dads wanting to buy t-shirts for their kids, while this guy was wiping out Mickey's Mates.

He also scooped up all the desirable rack pins by using an empty wheelchair to block access by others. He then used pillow cases to grab everything.

Later, he and his buddies would hog up the computers in the Promenade Lounge, posting the stuff on eBay. At the time, DCL offered an unlimited internet package, and people complained they couldn't get on a computer to contact family at home. (I believe this was just before DCL offered Wi-Fi.)

This all probably fed the frenzy to get a keepsake -- and people sleeping in the Atrium just for a pin.

John - if this happened on your cruise, would you sleep in the Atrium to get a souvenir for Sophia?

If someone asked if I would spend five hours in the middle of the night trying to get a Palo reservation, I would say, No. But I did. It all looks different when you're not in the middle of it.

I think hearing about this kind of thing happening on the Magic is so hard for me to understand since I am such a Disney lover. I grew up going to Disneyland twice a month and consider it to truely be the happiest place on earth for myself as well as my children. I think of DCL along the same lines. Disney meaning wholesome and good in my mind. The idea that somone would behave in such a way in a "Disney" enviroment is unthinkable to me.

That being said I shop and I like to shop a lot. However I would not sleep out overnight to get Jacinda a pin or any other souvenir for that matter. I think the best souvenirs we really can get is the memories and the pictures we take are great for those too. My son loves to sit and look at pictures and tell me all about what we did in them. Everyone has their "thing". Something they are willing to do anything to get. Pins and t shirts are just not my thing.

has anyone ordered from cruiselineformal for this cruise yet? I just wondered if the charge was just the same as the weekly rental. I still have to do that. John wants the two jacket package.

We have not yet ordered, but plan on doing so. I think Bubba wants the 2 jackets too. We are goint to the Mens Wearhouse and get his measurements done hopefully this weekend. I think I remember reading that it is the same price as the 7 day.

Our living room is our packing area. I have most of my clothes that I am taking out there as well as a few of th eitems we have bought lately. I'm going to find the suitcases today and add them to the mess up there. Hopefully we can put some of the clothes and things into the cases and make it a little easier to move around.

DGD is much better. We expect she will be discharged from the hospital this morning. We visited with her yesterday and she felt well enough to go to the art session they have for the hospitalized children. She spent almost and hour and a half there before she got too tired and needed to go back to her room and rest. We all did some paintings with her.

Kathe they are at LCBO, right at the cash stations. There was vodkas, rums, brandy, whiskey and a couple of others, but some were in glass bottles. I do this because that is all I will need for the cruise, also these were in plastic bottles. I did see some new wines that are in bottles that look like a coffee thermos (some-kind of thin metal,) that would pack in checked luggage without braking worries.

My two normal drinks are cranberry and vodka, a cape cod. Or a rum and diet coke with lime. For fun I like a fruity something or other.

I like cranberry and vodka best BUT it is only called a cape cod if it has a lime wedge and I have to say I hate hate hate the lime wedge! If I order cranberry and vodka and they bring it with a lime wedge I send it away.

Hi there, just a quick check in. 250 pages behind, my busiest time of the year at work with cookies and all, and DD is dance competitions, so really really busy. Probably won't be able to be looking everyday for at least another week or so.


But here is a picture of Jamie during dance competition where her team won first place for her division overall this last weekend!

Marr...I can't believe you are up before me...oh ya...you had to take J to school.

Taylor is still sleeping. Making up for all the lost time over the weekend. Thanks again to Nan and Marr (marr especially) for putting up with me over the weekend. I have said before, and will say again, most people only go 1 time to DL with me and then never again!. Can we say OCD on ride/time management! HAHAHAHAHHA

This weekend marr took us to breakfast inside DL at the Plaza Inn..first time I have been there since they changed it to buffet with the characters. It was really good...best biscuits and gravy and fabulous made to order omlets!
My daughter had a good suprise...she was very excited to spend the weekend in DL. Her bond with Molly and Jacinda is stronger now...look out ship kids! I see a mini gabby 3.

It was fun to meet bubba and venetia too and see kelly again. I left Tadsmommy a message, sorry we couldn't meet in passing.

Alrighty, it's time to start laundry and then ..oh yea watch tv. I am off for the week! No work and no vacation time deduction as we are closed this week for spring break. Have I mentioned how awesome it is to work at a school!
