We'll be there! Planning to go see the firewroks after dinner. We usually go early - leave early, so we're going for the other end of the day this trip.
Wonderful.

If you haven't unloaded that scrapbook paper by then, Mrs. Woody would be over the moon of you brought it for her.

(And it will probably be bigger by then - I still have two more Cropper Hoppers to go through)

Well, we are back from DL. We had a blast with Nan, Steph, Marr, Nan's sister Leeanna and the kids. I know Nan beat me with the update on what we did and where we ate. But I'm going to start the pics of the day we shared. So here goes.
Explaining to Venetia how to tell Chip and Dale apart. (yes, I didn't know:lmao: )

And here is the whole gang.

Thank you Nan for letting us celebrate your B-day with you all. We had such a great time. We hope you had a great meal at Napa Rose.

Marr and Steph it was also wonderful to meet you both. Hope you had a safe and uneventful drive home.

Lee says "..." okay not joining us...

Cool! I won't tell her, and hopefully she won't notice we're pulling a U-Haul trailer.

I have six wonderful children and wouldn't change my decision to have six for anything. We had three, then took an 8 year break and had three more so it is almost like having two separate families. Our oldest are 24, 22 and 19 and our youngest are 11, 9 and 6. Five girls and one boy. :grouphug:

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Cros are eay to pack! They don't weigh anything so stuff them with stuff - vanity items, socks, brushes. They also flatten pretty good!

THANKS for this info! I'll have to give mine a bath before packing so I can stuff things inside.

I'm still around, reading a trip report, cooking and eating a nice high proetin breakfast and looking for more ways to procrastinate on my taxes. You know, what's the big deal...they take about two hours? :confused3 (love Turbo Tax) Maybe I'll go iron something................

.
:rotfl: :rotfl: Boy, can I relate!

It is somewhat of a goofy picture, but you can get the idea of the outfits -

Thanks - I thought the two older ones had a bit of a goofy smile. Here is just the youngest..

What photogenic kids! Great pictures!

Marilyn, I enjoyed seeing your grandkids' pictures, too!

Well, I just ordered my Belkin mini surge cube thingy from Dell. Looks like it will just be the cat's whiskers!

I wonder how many more "must haves" there will be in the coming weeks???:rotfl:

Looks like my vendor has them on order so I might have my Belkin mini surge in the next two weeks, I thought it wouldn't come in time for the cruise.

Hmmmm. I've also 'volunteered' to be a seat filler at any Palo experience! Maybe we could have a section on the mini-navigator with our names and room numbers (whenenver that happens!), then if anyone has a member of their party decide at the last minute not to go, a seat filler is only a phone call away! Our motto, "No chair goes unoccupied at Palo!"
.

Cars

Back home from running errands, which included stopping at a couple of car dealers.

We had a horrible experience at Toyota. I had made an appointment to do some test drives. I spoke to someone over the phone during the week and asked for an early appointment. They gave me one for 9:00 AM.

Sukie worked last night and got home at 1AM. So, still tired I dragged us off to be at the dealer at 9:00 AM.

No sales people. They're all in a meeting and won't be available for 30 minutes or so. I asked, then why did you give me a 9:00 AM appointment. Why didn't you just give me a 9:30 or 10:00 AM?

I may be odd, but I am too busy to sit around and waste time.

I ended up leaving the dealership.

I did stop in at the Smart dealer again and also stopped in at a Honda dealer to see a fit.

I put myself down on the secondary waiting list for the Smart, as there may be an "orphan" that comes available in a month or so.

Boys and girls, you know that magnetic sheets can be very expensive, especially if you make a mistake, or want to make many, many signs.

OK, boys and girls, on today's program, we are going to look at a really inexpensive way to make door signs for our cabin doors.

Here's what you will need:

1. Heavy weight photo printer paper

2. Magnetic business cards. Your mom or dad probably have some that they have received from local businesses. I myself have lots of these.

3. Sticky-back Velcro strips

Cut about 6 to 8 squares out of the sticky-back Velcro strips. You may want to ask mom or a grown-up to help you with the scissors. You are going to want pairs, the fuzzy part and the part with the little plastic hooks.

Cut squares out of the magnetic business cards, the same size or slightly bigger than the Velcro squares.

Carefully peel the backing off of one of side the pairs, perhaps the hook side, and stick each one to a magnetic squares.

Now you can print a sign on the heavy photo paper.

Now peel the the other side of the Velcro pairs and stick them to the sign you made.

You now have a magnetic sign.

To make more signs, just print more sheets. You will only need half the Velcro as you can reuse the side of the Velcro stuck on the magnets.

Presto! You know have signs, made for just pennies!

On our next program, boys and girls, we're going to make a working model of the Disney Magic out of milk cartons, pipe cleaners and jelly jar lids.

See you next week kids!

Stick to the Smart Car... & you forgot about making a bird cage out of popsickle sticks... WAIT... that was the old Parent Trap... Disney Movie flashback!!! ;)

Has anyone stayed at Caribbean Beach....the pool will be closed before our cruise....should I stay here? I have never stayed at this resort and have always wanted to.....

Would rather stay at Boardwalk....but not available all weekend...

The Old Port Royale feature pool will be under refurbishment from Jan 7 through mid-September 2008. There are six other pools available, and waterslides for children are being added at the Barbados and Jamaica village pools. In addition, enhanced children's recreation activities will be offered during the refurbishment.

It is VERY spread out. It was a very long walk from our room to the food court both times we stayed there. Not our favorite.

Ken, I like it.

But how did you get it to colour so well? I couldn't fill it in very well, keep going all blotchy. Tried to erase, then fill, that didn't work well either. I was thinking that Daniel might like a Maroon and Orange shirt VT colours.
