I can drink three 16 ozs in a day and call it a night whenever :rotfl2: I think some people react different then others. Maybe all the soda I have drank over the years built my tolerance up. I do not react to a lot of alcohol either. I can drink a ton and not be drunk while some of my friends can't handle much at all. :confused3

I can have a little more than that..but who doesn't like to be awake at 5:00 a.m.!!!!!!!!

I'm usually not bad and am up late most night but I was so unprepared for the reaction that it has made me afraid to try it again for I did like it - it was sorta sweet and something I can get to like but the jitters scared me.

If you drink it with vodka and only have 2 it is alright for me.

Does anyone wonder what will happen to us after the cruise? I haven't been involved as long as most and I can't even imagine how it will be, especially after we all meet on the cruise.

We're all going to fall apart and have emotional breakdowns, to which the shrink handling our cases will recommend taking another DCL cruise with the same people! :lmao:

OK I'm crazy. I am packing for a four day weekend and I just wrote down all the days so I knew how much to pack. I think I'm truly stressed about packing for the cruise.

I wish I was one of those people who just throw things in and go, but I'm a stressed packer.

Awesome news!!! I know this will sound silly, but that makes my night!!

Frank is terrible. They say he has Failure to Thrive. He has a fever and his blood pressure is about 70/40. He is throwning up and coming out the other end as well. He has had the hiccups since Monday non-stop. They say he is becoming septic, which I am not to sure I understand. They told me the infection is racing though the blood stream. He is weak and miserable.

Sorry to be so graphic,
Lisa

Lisa, sorry to hear Frank is so bad. sounds like he has given up doesn't it? It must be awful for him after all this illness. I will keep praying for him and for you for strength and grace to cope.

Bad, bad day here. I really thought 2008 was going to be better but... I got a call from DD this morning that DGD12 was being transported from Salem Kaiser dr office to Dornbecker's Childrens Hospital. She has a very serious case of pneumonia. The Childrens Hospital is attached to the one DD and I work at by a skybridge so an easy walk over when she arrived. Her right lung is completely full and they were talking about putting in a chest tube, but after a second xray thought that might not be necessary. They have her on a couple of IV antibiotics and we are praying for a quick recovery. She is on oxygen, had a reaction to vancomycin and had to be put on benedryl for that. She is quite the trouper. When they were trying to get an IV in at Kaiser to transport they kept sticking her and she finally said "could you just try a different place?" I spent a bit of time with them, then decided I would go back to work for awhile while the docs worked her up and decided what to do. As I was walking back to my office I got a call on my cell from my sis telling me our cousin had commited suicide this morning. :sad2: This was as huge shock, the last person I would expect this from. His dad (my favorite uncle) has lost 2 wives in the past 5 years and now a child. :sad1: How much loss can one person endure? He can use lots of prayers. He is 82 years old and plans to fly back to Delaware for services. So far no one has been able to say they can go with him. I will talk with DrHug when he gets home and see if I can do a couple of days.

Ok, now I am going to try to catch up on this new thread. I will skip the last 10 pages of the old one.

Thanks for listening to my troubles.:grouphug:

Angie, what a terrible day for you. I hope your DGD is already responding to treatment. It is good you are so close to pop and see her.

How sad about your cousin. We just don't know what goes on in people's minds do we for them to end up doing this. How sad for your uncle.

I will be praying for both situations. Lots of love and:grouphug: to you at this time.

I was searching for a few more knit dresses for the cruise (they travel well and expand as you eat your way through the cruise) and I noticed www.coldwatercreek.com has a bunch of good prices on stuff in the outlet section. Also I found a discount code. Coupon Code WXP1482 will take 40% off your order. It works in regular or clearance sections. I found two knit dresses that were $12.99 on sale minus the 40% they became $7.80 each!

Ah, stretchy clothes - I like!!!:lmao:

Snow? I've heard of that, cold lumpy stuff that comes down from the sky? I'll stick with Sun Diego.

You sound like V!!!!:rotfl2:

Oh my gosh I think I want this. I can see having parties in the summer with the kids watching movies. Where in the heck whould I set it up though and I would need to buy the projector set up too. Hmm it is $198 at Walmart.com for the inflatable screen.

Ooh, I like that.

I'll have to check again. I need to find something really lime green for Nan.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Mary, in reply to your post on the old thread that I can't copy here(!), I use the Dove moisturiser with tanning and I find that the best.

I've seen the advert for that, might give it a try.

Have previously tried Johnsons, which just made me look dirty. And the Boots No7 wet wipe type things, which were streaky.

Hi all,

My hubby and I are leaving that night, after disembarking, at 11pm to take a red eye back to the east coast. Does anyone have any idea what happens to our bags? Will disney take them to the airport? Also, if anyone else is doing the same, whatare you planning to do that day. I did find that there is a company that will pick up and deliver and store your bags for the day.

Thanks!

Our flight is at 6pm, so we think we'll just have to spend the time at LAX. If we can check in as soon as we arrive, and get rid of the bags, we may head out somewhere.

DH wants to visit a model railroad shop in Culver City, but thinks they may be closed because it's Sunday. Shame. ;)

If we can't check in until later then we'll be stuck at the airport because of the bags.

Could you please post details of the company that will store them.

Eye exam - done, new glasses ordered, should be ready in one more week
doctor's visits - done, have copies of all prescriptions, and DH med form
shots- tetanus up to date, Hep A and B done.

About the immunizations, DH was in the Marines for 20 years and all his were up to date when he retired. He has gotten a tetanus booster since then.
I'm a nurse and have had the hep A and b as well. Did get the tetanus booster though for the trip.

Thanks for the reminder - DH needs tetanus - I had mine recently - We have not had HepA or Hep B. Still debating....

Gosh. That's awfully nice of you, thank you. But my birthday isn't until August (Just kidding! I know it's another Ian. I'm just used to being the only one :rotfl:)

.

My cousin's name is Ian - but you are not he - are you?

Do you live in Chelmsford????

Dove is much better than Johnson's. Also, go with the lighter option.

If you take your time with breakfast, getting off the ship and saying your goodbyes:sad:, it will probably be after midday before you get to LAX, so not too bad really. Of course you also have the New Zealand lounge access, but that can get boring too I think!!:lmao:

I am so sorry - he has been through so much to fight to stay alive. I understand all too well what you have posted and will not elaborate. I pray for him to have peace - and for your family as well. :grouphug: I hope he can be made comfortable as he endures this suffering.

Word fail. He is a fighter - My MIL fought this twice -
