Well, no time to catch up again . . . I've had a bit of a day.

Just when I was catching up this morning my brother called - he was supposed to go back to work today after break (he is a teacher) - and his feet were so swollen he could not even get his shoes on. He has extreme fear of doctors and hospitals, and I had been trying to talk him into seeking medical care for over a week.

I got him to call off work, make a doctor's appointment, and then I had to take him to the appointment. I had to drop him and leave him because I could not leave the office for so long a time.

My brother is extremely obese, and he looked ashen. He had difficulty even walking to and getting in my car. I think I have mentioned that my father lives with him.

Later in the afternoon he called to tell me I had to take him to the ER, he was retaining fluid, but they were afraid to give him medication without tests. The whole way to the ER he was freaking out on me - I thought I was going to have to slap him to get him to calm down.

I got him to the ER, got him admitted, and had to go home to get Sophia and my son dinner (who had brought some friends to watch the game). Can you say Olive Garden carryout? I had to calm down my dad, get his medication ready for him, and keep answering his calls wondering what was happening. Can you say 85 year old man with time on his hands?

He just called a little bit ago. He was admitted. He is anemic, and they were giving him 3 units of blood. He thinks he will be released tomorrow (who knows?). Meantime, I have to get to my dad's in the morning again to get his medicine ready for him. Take him lunch, take him dinner.

Oh yeah, and I have this job that keeps getting in the way. Now, what would have happened if this happened on May 11th? I know many of you are in similar positions with family - we should all say prayers for each other.

Poor Amy is dealing with my frustration half the world away, even though she gets to sit by a pool and have her feet massaged. I barraged her with email during the day because there is no one else to talk tol

Anyway - miss you guys - wish I had more time to spend, but it is bed time for Sophia!

John,

I never know what to say during times like this. How awful for you. My thoughts, and sympathies go out to you.

has anyone ordered from cruiselineformal for this cruise yet? I just wondered if the charge was just the same as the weekly rental.
Yes, the tux rental cost is the same as for 7 nights.

Gydell..I'm no expert on leaving from LAX, but if you have a noon flight..and 2 hour check in I would leave DL at the lastest of 8:30...with LA traffic and the airport being so busy I wouldn't chance anything.

Woody or Kelly might have a better take since they live down in that neck of the woods

Now that you are back, here are the magnets.

Here is the basic one that I have been doing for everyone, with a slight modification because of how you said you wanted it.

Hello MFQ!!!

I am Leanne and my family and I are coming from Sydney for the cruise - could we have one just like this, but with 'The Denison Family' on it?

I would really appreciate it, thankyou

OMG:scared1: :scared1: Just saw my ticker!!! 25 days until we leave Australia!!!! Actually it is 24 as the ticker is in US time!!!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Just because I'm not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me. ;)

I do know that my straight jacket will have Mickey heads all over it...

You're THAT kind of QUEEN??????

THANK YOU!!!! I love them!!!!!!

I should be able to click the link and then color print them?

they will come out small because Ken did them for the magnet sized that is like a business card... I inserted it into Word and then just made it larger and saved it - you can print it from there.

he knows me...

WE ALL KNOW YOU!!!! :upsidedow

Anybody ordering any stateroon gifts for embarkation?

I know a few have ordered flowers. I am thinking of the 'Romance'(haha) basket just so I don't have to bring a robe with me.

I talked my sister into getting the flowers and the champagne for my mom's birthday... ;) It's amazing what I can talk her into!!!

Glad you're okay, Holly.

Before I had DSL, I had dial-up. It was so embarrassing for DIS chat because I was always a step behind (Jackie might remember).

For example:

Smith: I won the lottery
Smith: but then my wife left me
Woody: Hey, that's great!
Smith: Then my neighbor paid back the $200 he owned me
Woody: Oh, that's so sad.
Smith: turns out he was seeing my wife.
Woody: Can I have some?

Woody

Man, you must have taken some funny pills this weekend!

OK....I was planning on leaving work early to get home and take drugs (or Frangelico). Got on the DIS to check up on y'all first and for some reason got on a WDW trip report. THREE HOURS LATER....I decide I'd better get out of here and finish it at home. Haven't read anything so funny since the DelsWife reports. Check it out....user name is CampbellScott. I'll post a link later tonight when I'm home. Good thing dinner is already cooked!

OMG! That's terrible! I sure hope things look better in the morning, and they find out why your brother's having such health problems!

Good luck, and big hugs!:grouphug:

Ok here's the quick version for you Lisa with Daniel.

Just did up my classic one with the two of you on it. You didn't specify a character for yourself, just Daniel so I took a little liberty (creative license??) and came up with one that seemed to fit your handle.

So here is this one:

I'm working on another one with just Daniel using one of the bowling graphics Pj has provided.

Thank you so much .... this is so cute!!
