Maybe Timmy fell into the well. :rolleyes1

That's hysterical. You read my mind! I had added a line about Lassie getting help because Timmy was in the well, but ended up deleting it.

wow, we are just in from the pool. Been out there all afternoon. Is gorgeous! Got lots of sun.....Samantha is swimming like a fish, she is all of a sudden going from one end to the other. John grilled ribs and steaks on the grill. Yum!

Sounds like a lovely summer day...I've forgotten what that feels like:rolleyes:

Kathe, the forecast is 5 more weeks of cool weather, yuck. Just in time for us to fly south in to 80-90 degrees. Joy bliss.

oh my.....we were so lazy yet fun today. Haley planted more peppers and she is soooo into plants like John. She planted them and turned to me, I have to water them now mom. We have grapes going strong and a pumpkin too! John is sooooo worried about everything being watered while we are gone. My mom is going to stay here I think for the most part so maybe she can handle the plants and Tebow.

Here is my one attempt at door magnet creativity.

Corinne, I love the door magnet, make sure you put some identifying mark on it, so if it is "moved" you can claim it.

John, that is a brilliant idea! I had not considered setting up separate networks and having cheapo router basically serving up the Internet connection to each. That would solve quite a few problems and extend the network with the proper speed based on each device.

I'm sure Mrs. Bennett will be thrilled.

There are more wireless devices in this house than you can shake a stick at:

  1. G5 iMac
  2. G4 iBook
  3. Intel Duo Core iMac
  4. Mrs. Bennett
  5. Playstation 3
  6. Wii
Like Sukie said, pretty soon if our network goes down, the toilet won't flush!

Maybe later I'll stop in at Circut City or Best Buy (or via Amazon, even better no sales tax) and get another wireless router.

I do have to share something funny about our wireless network. I can see all of my neighbors wireless networks, which of course are all secured. I am sure they can see ours as well. I'm also sure that they're baffled.

Their networks are called things like "Nancy's Network." Our Airport network is called "O'Hare International" when the Airport expresses were connected they were called "Terminal 5 International Arrivals." "Terminal 1 United Airlines," and "Remote Parking."

Thanks again John. Pretty soon after all these routers are going, Sukie and I may start glowing in the dark.

Great names . . . I bet the PC owners that do not use "airports" are wondering what the heck is going on. Mine are just called "John's Airport N" and John's Airport G". I can't take total credit for the separate network idea - when the n airport base station came out, MacWorld had an article on how to do this - lots of people have different devices.

Us too . . .

iMac 17" - old lamp style connected with an airport express
12" Powerbook G4
My Black MacBook Core Duo
Apple TV
Wii
And when my son is home, a newer MacBook Pro 15"

I bought all the alcohol I will need on the ship, two 6 ounce bottles, one vodka one golden rum. Cheap date I am for sure. I also have three, two glass, tetra boxes of wine, yes, I am bring juice boxes of wine, lol.

Hmmm . . . that doesn't provide much to share . . .

Happy Birthday Nan!!!!:cool1:

So DH assumed I was staying home to clean house today. But I had a Disney Scrapbook class. It was 5 double page layouts and was supposed to be 2 hrs. It took 3.5 hours but was very fun. They are 12x12 and we made our own paper on 2 pages. It was alot of work. I will take pics and post the pages later tonight. So DH mowed the lawn and cooked dinner. He says tomarrow night I have to help but I have a huge test Tues and need to study. Guess I better get off the Dis. I can already tell this week will be better.:goodvibes

John, you and Amy, have way better taste in wine then me, lol. Mine is a brand called french rabbit.

I know we have talked about the History Channel's Modern Marvels show on the Panama Canal but has anyone seen the NOVA one? It is called: A Man, A Plan, A Canal, Panama and is hosted by David McCullough, the author of the Path Between the Seas. DH and I got the DVD and watched it last night. It is a very good synopsis of the book with videos, etc. Made me want to go all that much more.

I've been reading my PassPorter yesterday and today and it says to go to http://www.pancanal.com for helpful descriptions of the various points of interest that we'll pass and there are live webcams too.

The Magic is only 6 feet narrower than the locks themselves. and it cost anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000 for the Magic to pass through the Canal.

I'm so glad I bought this book.....so much fascinating info to read about.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BRITHDAY TO NAN
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.

I HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL DAY. :cake: :woohoo: :cheer2:
