I had read it some time ago but had forgotten. No, John would not be impressed. He wasn't too keen when we began taking 3 between us, and this time we have 4. No way any more!!



I so agree. A very special person.

We normally travel with 2 bags between (maybe 3 on the return trip) but we are leaving here with 4 plus 2 carry-ons each ! Most luggage we've ever taken!!!

Back from celebrating Ray's birthday. Here's a pic of him and all of us......Ray, me, John and the kid DS.

We all had a great time.....we went to a steak and seafood place and we all had one or the other or both. Then we went back to my house and had ice cream birthday cake because Ray loves his ice cream. We let him take the remainder of the cake with him back to Mrs. Bush. We told him he could eat it everyday all by himself or he could share it with friends. He said, I'm eating it, it's all mine! It's amazing how the elderly revert back to being little kids. I feel like I have a child to care for with him......except he's old enough to drink so he had a Sombraro with his dinner and he loved it.

We told him we would put the pics of his birthday in frames and put them up in his room for him. He was very happy about that. All's well that ends well.

Jackie, were you able to come up with the complete poem when the sister was in town? I just want to write it down for the mom memorial that we're doing on the boat. I thought I would bring some flameless candles and I'll have my roses that I ordered for my stateroom. We could hold hands, tell stories, read the poem and kiss our moms for mother's day. We'll keep it short and sweet from 8:30-9:00am on the secret deck on 7. Then we'll go play on CC and have a great day. Venetia, anything you specifically have in mind that you would like to do? I thought I would bring two candles, one for your mom and one for mine, is that ok with you? My mom would love the Hawaiian scent. Any specific sent your mom would like?

I can't express how special it is for me to share this day and this prayer with friends from here. I feel like you were all with me when I lost mom and I couldn't be happier that my first mother's day without mom will be shared with all of you too. And we couldn't be at a more beautiful place than on CC....how very appropriate.

So, to finish up our conversation from yesterday, you only have to put down the deposit of $250/pp if you are actually taking the cruise you are booking at that time. If you are booking a dummy date, then you only need to put down one persons deposit, as you are going to change the res. when the ships new schedule, or visa versa, is announced.

I think I've got it, Watson. How about you? Still no cabin #.

Angie, I'm so happy to hear the great news about Taylor today. So glad she's improving and will soon be back home.

I'm still in a lifeboat too Gydell.....but maybe they'll wait until you get back from St. Maartin. April 10 is 30 days out.....so we still have a way to go before they start assigning them......you could be back by the time it happens. How long are you staying for? Remember to take lots of pics to post on here for us.

You know, I generally lose weight while vacationing (even cruising). I tend to move around more, of course, but I also tend to eat higher quality food (restaurants where they'll cook to your requirements) as opposed to grab and eat places. I also had groceries on hand and was able to pack lunch several times this past week. I went EIGHT days with no french fries...what a difference that made.

A little success goes a long way too. There were fries on the table at lunch today (good ones too) and I ate FOUR and left the rest. Didn't want to lose any ground now!
