After returning from lunch with Peg, I decided to avoid doing my taxes by playing in my closet and trying on shirts. I now have a section of OK to wear and a section that is "stand up only" ....the old pucker when you sit down problem, you know. Looks like I need to walk off another inch (or two) in the next six weeks! AND wear them at the beginning of the cruise.

Now I'm wondering if it's too late to take a nap......

UMMM it's BRAND NEW from the TF..see I started a whole to catch a tf thread on the Cb. Everyone including Clooney got tagged and the tf did switch my tags to orange and blue. bu t I meant I wanted a gator tag....

Well, I would say we have royalty in our ranks ...not only 2 tags (I know those have been there for a while) but an adorable pic from the TF!!!! And, here most of us sit, just dreaming of a simple visit from her, just once!

Jackie...I've got lots of those types. Actually I have a prom in 2 weeks (adult only fundraising prom) and the dress I have for it is one of those. I figure I'll just always have to be dancing and then I won't have to explain why I can't sit down

This reminds me of a story I read about Dinah Shore (I think it was her). She had quite a few gowns she was writing off on her taxes and the IRS questioned them. She invited the agent over and every gown she couldn't sit down in...was allowed!

Sukie has said that we are becoming more and more dependent on the Internet and more and more things in the house are connected to the Internet. Sukie said yesterday that pretty soon we going to be so connected that if we lose our Internet connection the toilet will stop flushing.

Back from celebrating Ray's birthday. Here's a pic of him and all of us......Ray, me, John and the kid DS.

We all had a great time.....we went to a steak and seafood place and we all had one or the other or both. Then we went back to my house and had ice cream birthday cake because Ray loves his ice cream. We let him take the remainder of the cake with him back to Mrs. Bush. We told him he could eat it everyday all by himself or he could share it with friends. He said, I'm eating it, it's all mine! It's amazing how the elderly revert back to being little kids. I feel like I have a child to care for with him......except he's old enough to drink so he had a Sombraro with his dinner and he loved it.

We told him we would put the pics of his birthday in frames and put them up in his room for him. He was very happy about that. All's well that ends well.

:OH BY THE WAY.....have I mentioned I've lost FIVE pounds! I'm shooting for another 12 by cruise day.

Time to go build an omlette, catch you later kids!

oh Ian, my girls think I am nuts...I am laughing out loud. Love it....so, now are you going to commit to arts and crafts day on the ship?

Sure, if someone brings milk cartons, sticky back plastic contact paper and pipe cleaners!


Seriously, I saw the cost of magnetic sheets and nearly fell over. I thought there has to be a cheaper way to make lots of signs. Then I remembered I made some cheap magnetic signs once using old magnetic business cards.

I thought of the velcro as a way to replace the signs.

Your posting was pretty much a transcript!

I very much had Blue Peter in mind when I wrote that!

I remember once on Blue Peter seeing them make a Filofax out of cardboard, string, paper and sticky-back plastic.

Our new PassPorter came this week.....John already started reading it and I have yet to begin. But I'm excited because I'm one step closer to getting on that boat. Today is 40 days for us before we leave. Tomorrow we start the 30's. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John is working on decorating our fish extender now. He printed out Ken's graphic on a magnet for the door and I want him to print out PJ's too. Thanks to you both, I love them!!!
