I LOVE the stories about the little souveniers!!

Makes me think of that commercial from years back :goodvibes

Apparently Pentax film lenses all fit the current digital cams. Obviously there are some loss of features from the camera to the lens, but they all are supposed to work. Not sure what brand you have, but Pentax does make it less painful.

I found this compatibility chart for the Pentax lenses. It doesn't have the latest generation of cameras that just came out, but if it works on the K10D it should work on the K2* series. Pentax Lens chart

Thanks for taking the time to find this for me.....my camera is manual, so not even the lenses will fit...and it is Minolta and they did not go digital....oh well....

Steph, any particular diet or just diet in general? I am going to try and stay on WW this month and then free for all on the cruise!

From August to the end of feb. I was following my nutritionist (through my doctors office) plan of 1200 calories per day. 5 meals 3 of 300 and 2 snacks of 150 plus walk/running on treadmill 3 miles per day. That combination whittled me down almost 40lbs. I got very cocky in March and started eating outside of that, snacking etc. additionally, I had some cramping in my legs and stopped the excersice. That combination helped me to put on 5lbs in march...which is ALOT. I am trying to go back down to the 1200. I didn't start to excercise yet, but I will. I need to do 1 thing at a time. The one thing I learned while watching what I ate, was that I do have the ability to say NO. I also learned that 1200 calories can be ALOT of food. I have every ambition and desire to lose those 5 plus...Thats my goal!

I want to lose 40. Is that realistic?

40 before the cruise...only if you stop eating :rotfl: I also learned that obviously stay away from your comfort foods. Fast Food was a daily essentinal for me before. This weekend was the first time since last july I had fast food. I also ate pasta in march...another weakness so thats gone and no bread of any kind. Including not breaded items...

My nutritionist told me to figure out how much you need to eat to lose weight...take your current weight times 9 (if you are a woman over 35) (under 35 by 10 and men always by 10) That # will be your max calorie intake per day at a resting weight. To lose weight you need to eat less than that...It's a depressing number.

First of all - 40lbs is fantastic and NOTHING to sneeze at.

I KNOW you can get back on track!

You can do it. I don't know how you are but I could lose a few pounds a week if I ate 1200 calories. Add some elipticle and I could easily lose 15 in 5 weeks. I don't think I could stick to 1200 calories for that long though. That isn't a lot of food for me. I will try though. We can keep up with each other everyday and beat each other up if we fail or cheer each other on if we do well that day.

Yea..I know I can do it. Just have to stick to it. I feel much better now than I had in a long while.
My inspiration for losing was when we did the med cruise, I didn't gain a pound. AND I ate...like a pig. BUT we walked alot. So I knew if I just excercised and started eating better...it could be done. The fact that I did eat so well all school year was another milestone. I have been working at my school for 11 years and I started at 128lbs..now I did have a pregnancy and put on 65! but part of that came off..I will not share my weight this summer, but it wasn't pretty. I was always tired at school and huffing and puffing around campus. I have a coworker who is doing weight watchers and she is at the same place as me, lost 40+ but got cocky. I spoke to her yesterday and she too is getting back on track. It's just sucks...I really want to be able to be 20 again and eat whatever I want...and do nothing..what happened to that girl?!?!

I realized after this weekend that my 20 year old self is gone forever!

In 38 days. I don't think so. That's a lb a day. But if you find the secret potion will you please share.

The Biggest Loser. Could we hire them to work us over for the next 38 days at some spa in the middle of the desert?

:lmao:

If I could leave work and go to a spa..I would. I work at a private school..and sometimes those moms come home from a week at the "spa" looking 5lbs lighter. If only we had all the time in the world...

and I still feel like my 20 year old self...just don't look like her! hahahaha

yeah, in my mind I'm a victoria secret model, I just haven't found the right mirror yet!
