The handicapped accessible rooms are very few and you need to send a Medical Need letter signed by your physician to get one. I am still on a waiting list for one of the accessible suites onthe 8th deck. If we get one, I'll let you know right away, so you can phone and ask for the one we have on the 7th deck, if you need an accessible room.

Ok, so I had to go see my grandmother in the ICU last night. She fell off her front porch going after my cousins toddler. She caught him and he is ok but she hit her head and had to have 19 staples. She opened her eyes yesterday and is responsive and starting to breathe on her own. They said it she hadn't caught the baby he would not have survived. She aspirated in the ambulance. Everyone is trying to keep their sprirts up. They are trying to bring her off the sedation but she keeps trying to pull out her IVs. This happened Ths. night and I found out last night b/c my dad couldn't remember my phone number. My Uncle now has my number. I am going to the Augusta GA today at 4. Ok sorry that was so sad.

We bring a great soft sided cooler and fill a large gallon size bag of ice to keep inside the cooler box and it will stay cold enough for milk.

Yes, that's what we do , too, and the room steward keeps the ice bucket filled for our wine and champagne!

We are going to Down Town Disney this afternoon to celebrate at Raglan Road. We saw Seven Nations at Pleasure Island last night and I took Patrick to a street party put on by O'Doughrety's in St. Clloud on Saturday.

I hope your grandmother soon recovers. Sounds a nasty accident.

Just checked our ressie and it was there.

I keep getting booted off of Disboard though.

It's a 1/2 hour later but I got mine to come up no problems.

Ah,well it might be resolved now.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. You guys move so fast it is hard to keep up! This weekend I finshed work on our FE and started to pack the boxes to send to the ship before the cruise. I have a couple questions. Is there a limit to how many boxes we can send? Are they really strict about the size of the box? I plan to send the pirate outfits, snorkel stuff, FE, and possibly formal gear. Any other suggestions? Thanks all!

About how much does it cost to ship items to the Port Canaveral port? and is their a location near the San Pedro port or DL to ship items back home?

Our Stateroom now is 7638. I have a feeling that we will be staying there, because I think if anybody was going to cancel they would have done so by now! But, if any good news comes through I will pm you right away! Look at the DCL website and you caan enlarge the ship deck layouts to see where all the rooms are.

shipping depends on the weight and how far it has to go.
I do believe someone posted there is a place to ship close to the port in LA. I hope so anyway.

For me, I think, it will be seeing the approach up on Deck 10, and then I will be happy to go off and watch as and when from various parts of the ship. I have to eat you know!!!!! I'm on a cruise and I have to eat!

Seems like there is a verandah crawl going on too!

Was just wondering if someone could describe what a 'cooling box' is? (as described in the cabin descriptrion)

I cannot remember using it on our land & sea trip three years ago

I suspect it is a mini fridge, but could be wrong

Could you store a small carton of milk and keep it for several days?

yes a mini fridge, not good for freezing, but ok to keep cool

I can't bring up our reservation on DCL site. The page won't move from when I input my number and b/date - just says 'error on page' at bottom.

Can you all get yours?

I have seen this happen quite often. I suspect the page loads so slowly, not all the required parts are available

I always make sure i can see the submit button below my birthday before I hit enter...that seems to be the key

Over on the main DCL page, there were a few people logging in to reserve their excursions....so that could explain why it was so slow as we are all aware of

We are staying onsite before the cruise and will be shipping a box to the hotel ahead of time, they don't seem to be as strict about items shipped and the size of the box. We will also send one box to ship but in the required dimensions and weight limits.

I know awhile back Shirley posted that the owner of the warehouse was pretty frustrated that people weren't following the guidelines and he was thinking about not offering the service.
