Two things:

1. Thank you to everyone for responding to my laundry question and for taking such a great interest in my underwear. Not since my mother, has any one shown such a great interest in the state of my undies.

2. I am thinking of buying Sukie a higher end digital camera. Not something compact. Any recommendations for a sub-pro camera?

.

Ian, many of us love the Canons, and several of us have a S3 si or the S5 si models. I have a feeling you are going to be looking at the Rebels in Canon or the D series in Nikon level.

I did a count from the master list.

If you are looking at just FE (giving and not giving) that will be hanging from this DIS group, there are 92 FEs. Several cabins have several "families/singles" inside. I Think one of the cat 3 or 4's will have three individual ladies sailing, etc.

Wow did we add more people beyond the Mar 1st deadline?

total # of children under 18 - 112
total # of 18 and over - 255
total # of cabins - 141

gifting summaries:
yes FE, yes gifting group - 67 cabins which is 115 adults and 69 kids

yes FE, no gifting group - 8 cabins which is 32 adults and 7 kids

I didn't not include the number of those who indicated no FE and no gifting because without a FE there's no where to put the gift. If people want that number, I can get it to you, just let me know!

Thanks,
Lisa

I'm really enjoying my new Nikon D40. (really wanted the D40x or D80 but didn't have the $). Now I just want the 18-200 lens.

Ok, I need to know what is a safe # to do???? I would hate to leave someone out, but I don't want to get too much...

Ian, You know how mom was always worried about having on clean undies in case you were in an accident. Well as a nurse I can tell you it the first thing we check. ;)

I received my Real Simple Travel Mag and they recommended a Canon Powershot SD950 or a Sony Syber-shot DSC-T70.

For Tech lovers and Olympus E-410

I have a list from 2-21 and just counted, actually let excel count :), those with FE, either giving or not. There are at least a dozen cabins with more then one extender, like my cabin.

I get 65 yes FE/yes giving & 27 yes FE/ no giving and/or don't know yet, but that is from a 2-21 list, so.......:confused3

But if you go naked....except for dinner.....

then you won't need to worry about packing quarters cuz you won't need to do any laundry!!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Or just bring disposable undies!

or go commando:thumbsup2

Cuz you won't have pockets!

Woody

Um... People.... I'm eating with him... so I'm requesting at least Boxers!!! :rotfl2:

When something pops up I know now you have passport and will travel...

I'd give you the bed, but you can't sleep with my DH, he snores :lmao:

Of course, anyone who asks will be granted some snips in the garden :flower3:

I have passport and will travel... but isn't California part of this country???

DH won't snore anymore... does he like down pillows???

Would love some snips from the garden... will give you mine...sometime in August... :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Oh I think we need an official count...

CALMOM!!!! Lisa... where are you?????

Just DON'T wake ME up!!! :goodvibes

I think I'm going to not deal w/ that hassle and spend a bit of my obc and get the laundry service....I don't want to waste any time in the laundry room.

on the Trans Atalntic we only did major launcry one tome. My hubby helps....also we brought a regular sized bottle of the 3X All, and shared ti with others in the laundry room.

I am packing many more pairs of underwear and less shorts and t shirts. If my hubby could....he'd wear his shorts and t shirt all the time, including formal night!

All I can say is THE CABINS NEAR OR ACROSS FROM LAUNDRY ROOM IS THE WORST ROOM ON THE SHIP!!!!! 24 HOURS PER DAY OF SMELL, HEAT AND ACTION.... however if you wanted to start a business to pay for your cruise and do others laundry.

That's for sure! I always felt so sorry for the ones directly across from the laundry room!
that's a good idea about the ones in those staterooms charging to do others laundry.....they'd make a bundle!:laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

1. yes, but I'm taking airfare wonderful, and let's go. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but maybe????

2. he might, but since I'm allergic they aren't coming in my house...grrrrrr

3. I'd like those tomatoes you talked of :flower3: insert veggie in this smile's hand.

Grapefruit is the only one you can't eat (something about absorbtion rates in your liver increase if you eat it so you end up with too much in your system at once).

Oranges, lemons, limes, etc. are ok.

Oh, good! That means you can dr8nk Screwdrivers, Mohita's, vodka Gimlets, and most rum drinks! :jumping1: those are jumping limes!

Same here, that is why I hope to be able to get the boys into the oceanear club so after spending all night doing laundry, I can let them enjoy while I catch up on lost sleep!

I wish we could get Patrick into the Oceaneer Club! He'd love it. Connie

1. Definately maybe.....

2. I was thinking over the head....

3. You can have all my tomatos... or at least the ones that I don't eat off the vine... (can you say MIRACLE GROW!!!)

How about 6 a.m.? Deck 10 forward. I wonder if room service would deliver?

OH! I am NOT getting up at 6am for ANYTHING! The motion of the ship makes me sleep and sleep and sleep....in fact last year when we did the TA, the best sleeping days were the wild weather ones! Connie

how about a tip jar next to their cabins? Or better yet, I'll bring the ear gear from the go kart track, Monica ear protection? I'm bumming on this for you

In your honor I'll send out laundry so you don't have to hear by load(s) (ok not really but I'm working on the other peoples guilt factor to be quiet across from your room)

I really do hope it's okay for all those who have to deal with this inconvience. Seems that laundry should be not directly accross from a stateroom, or offer consideration for those that have to deal with it.:sad2:
