AI is on....
I think we really need to meet up on deck 10, port side with the size group we have, unless we have bad weather. Above the Goofy Pool, midship seems to work really well at that time and then we disburse for lifeboat drill and then those that don't want to be on deck 9 for sailaway go up to deck 10 midship so we can wave goodbye to everyone on the way out as they are jealous that we are going to California on the Magic.
What does everyone else think?
good luck with that!! Round these parts you probably have better luck at being tagged by Secret Mickey than the Tag Fairy....I had over 5k before she snuck up on me....now almost 22k and no new tags!![]()
But I do have to say - several people got tagged from posting in my old trip reports....that made me feel good!![]()
I think I have to agree with Jackie. I remember the Dis Meet on the 11 night. It was windy and a little spread out. I think it would be easier to spot everyone in the lounge and get things passed out. Then we definitely should gather on Deck 10 for the sailaway. Need to wave goodbye with my Mickey gloves.![]()

Linda - you did have a few DISers out there to greet you and we tried to make as much of a ruckus as we could - honking horns, balloons, etc. I guess there just wasn't enough of us. The captain did sound the horn for us though.Remember, one of the challenges was we didn't come into port until daylight (even though there was little fan fare) and so luggage didn't start coming off the ship until after we pulled into port and there was a good two weeks worth of luggage for each person along with all that extra stuff we bought!
It was slower going through customs, but the luggage was the biggest hang up for people in the terminal who got off the ship, but apparently, their luggage hadn't!
You might also want to tell your original stateroom host. While making the whiteboard rounds one day (doing an update), a stateroom host stopped me and mentioned that there were things being left for people that had moved. I asked him the room numbers, checked my list and figured out who they were and we managed to fix things.Yes, the only changes that occur once we are on board is if you get kicked out of your room for floodingor if you happen to get a magical upgrade at the port. Susie will keep track of those and the hall monitor would have those changes listed outside their door.
Also, when our room got changed (i.e. flooding)(not really) since no one was staying in that room because of a mechanical problem, we just put a sign on the door itself saying that "Seaulater and family have moved to stateroom #____. Please deliver all mail and fish gifts to the new stateroom."
Everything showed up okay. Plus I walked by the old room once a day to make sure there was nothing in my fish mail.
GREAT JOB! That's so awesome! Keep up the good work.Good afternoon everyone! So, the report back on my day AFTER fitness boot camp.....Well, my legs feel ok and my arms for the most part do too. BUT what really hurts are my pec muscles, all the way up my neck, my shoulders, my sides, waist and abdomen. OMG! I feel muscles I didn't even know I had. Tomorrow is my next class, and believe it or not, I'm actually looking forward to it!

I graduated HS in 1974 so you're about a year older than me. The Red Parrot days were probably 1977-80 sometime around there.....I think it became Emerald City afterwards. Of course, I remember Studio 54 too.....but never got in there. How about the Limelight.....it was a church converted into a dance club. Wild. I got in there on halloween one time with my DH so that was years later. Oh how about the Paladium, I've been there too.....that was kind of inbetween the earlier and the later dates. The good old days clubbing in NYC.
Then we did the first and second avenue bar hopping. I lived on 82nd and first and we used to go to a place all the time on the corner called the Mad Hatter. Then on the west side, near a friends house was the Museum Cafe right across the street from The Museum of Natural History......old memories filled with cobb webs now. Anything sound familiar to you. Where did you used to go out in NYC at the time?
Maybe some folks can PM you with some good DIS gift ideas that they're not using for their group!
Of course I remember the Limelight. I was trying to think of that place earlier today.
I wasn't much of a club person at the time though.
I was more into punk and poetry. I remember Patti Smith, before she was singing, but when she was reading on the poetry circuit.
.
It just quit working about a month ago.Holly waht's up with your tv? I didn't realize you didn't have one?
We would have 2 Patrick's then.
Could be confusing.
Mine's 53, 6 feet tall, not much hair.
