Well, emotionally, yes but lots to do before then. Chicago sister will be here for a visit starting next Friday and I have the following week off. AFTER that...I'll be starting my cruise box, finalizing details and crash dieting (since I haven't managed to accomplish anything in that regard over the last 15 months!). Even if I only knock off 10 lbs I know I'll feel better..energywise.

.

that's how I feel emotionally yes:thumbsup2 but have tonz to do:rolleyes1

That is unreal - so awesome. One of my good grade school friends father was awarded the Medal of Honor. His last name was Herrara. He lost both of his legs. Such brave men.

It's amazing what soldiers do for our freedom. Dr.Hug's DL story really made me tear up:sad1: That was really touching and the odds of that happening.

Good Morning Cruisers.....we have some very important business to attend to this morning.

I want to hear from people that already have rooms numbers assigned. We have only one volunteer so far and that is Venetia who is going to be our Deck 7 monitor. I need volunteers to be monitors on every stateroom deck and then we need a volunteer to be the keeper of the master list. This is what's involved: Anyone who gets a last minute room assignment or change calls the master list keeper. That's the main contact person for everyone. Noel was going to be this person, but since she had to cancel, we need someone else to do it. Someone who already has a room number assigned.

The master list person will take a voice message left on their phone and then contact the deck monitor on the corresponding floor and let them know of the changes. They could leave a voice message. The deck monitor should have a small dry erase board outside of their stateroom where they can note the changes.

When the fish teams are going to gift, they can check with the deck monitors on each floor and note any changes in their mini navs.

So we need volunteers to be deck monitors and to be the keeper of the master list. But we need people that are not in the lifeboats. Anyone want to join Venetia and step up here. We would all be very greatful.

If someone else has a better way of getting this information to all the DISers, please speak up and let us know. We're open to suggestions.

I'd be happy to be the keeper of the master list if you don't have anyone yet.

I'm here, but only popping in to say HI! Yesterday Tyler had a karate birthday party to go to for his best friend's birthday. Then we came home, had dinner, and he hit the hay. I was busy cleaning clutter out of my bedroom and boxing stuff up to post on freecycle.

Today, we've been CLEANING FOOLS! Tyler has gone into overdrive and his bedroom is almost all the way clean. He has boxed up SO much of his stuff and I just can't believe it! His motivation is because he wants new stuff for his birthday and I told him he won't get any presents unless we get rid of about half his stuff since he has too much. Whatever the motivation, that's fine with me!

So.....taking a quick break while he eats dinner, I'll be back to get caught up after he's in bed tonight. :)

Disregard, nevermind......Venetia just PM'd me with a great new suggestion.....we won't have to do any of the above. If anyone has any last minute changes, get in touch with Linda/seaulater and she will incorporate it into the mini Navs. I like this idea. It certainly makes everything a lot easier.

Linda, is this the way you are used to doing it? Please let us know from your experience what we should do. We're all kind of doing this for the first time and have no clue. We'd love to hear from you how you have handled last minute changes in the past. Should we even be concerned?

Susie...that's great that you volunteerd (especially since that means you already have a room:yay: ...lucky you) but I think she said it was no longer necessary:confused3

Sounds like a great and productive weekend to me:goodvibes I'm constantly cleaning out my DK toys. They have way too much stuff and can't possibly play with everything....need to get motivated to get rid of a lot of their toys but haven't yet:rolleyes1 its on my to do list:thumbsup2

DH took DS hiking yesterday a 3 mile hike and then when they got home they went to ride bikes so my sick DD and I watched Cinderella. Now they are all playing Monopoly again. He's step up to the plate since I haven't been feeling well.

I looked you up on the map and then scrolled up to find where I live its amazing you could even see the pool and the grass in our backyard its a little blurry though and the golf course in our neighborhood look dark dark green and doesn't really look like one...maybe because we are in AZ and all of the dirt...lots of it...desert:upsidedow

Oh man....I hadn't even viewed under satellite (I was just using map, which didn't reflect buildings)

Now....off to send someone a PM, as I think I accidentally moved them (apparently you can edit other peoples stuff :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: )

We were GTY, and were assigned a room on Feb 24. I don't remember if anyone else posted a room assignment.

Joseph

I don't think anybody else was assigned recently. I'm wondering if they are waiting for that Cat. 4 cabin to go first:confused3 at this point I'll take the haunted Cat. 4 room:upsidedow

I resemble that remark. I just can't keep up with everything and keep everyone sorted. I blame it on last year at this time I was planning for the Med cruise and couldn't follow two threads. I was so far behind when I started here I should have found the Cliff note before jumping in. Even now I need a score card to because I can't keep it all in the right place.

But I have heard of you, and you have posted, and I have seen your name, and I have probably answered one of your posts, but, some of the names on the map I have just never heard of or read before. Glad they are coming along though. Perhaps we will get to say hi sometime on the cruise.

Any GTY's get assigned a cabin yet?

No!!!:sad2:

Hi Holly, glad you are being so successful with the clearing out. Come over here when you have finished!!!!

I think its so cool how you could view under satellite and see stuff although I wonder how often they update it because our neighbors behind us finally got a pool a year ago and it didn't show in the satellite so wonder how old the photos. ....and you know how quickly they build around here...I still remember when Desert Ridge wasn't even there:eek:

Deb, just checking out the flowers and your pink roses are so pretty! I'm not sure which one we will order...might order the same! Lisa

I ordered them too! And I ordered the Dom Perignon for a bon voyage gift for us!!

It was tough getting up this morning. My first WW meeting was at 8:00 AM which meant I had to be there at 7:15 AM. That hour made a big difference!

So far so good for the first week of the staff spring weight challenge. I lost 3 pounds (1.63 Kg) this past week.

Now I get to relax this afternoon before my REAL job tomorrow!

Good job!

Yes, I saw that after I send the response. I guess I need to read faster!!! :rotfl:

If you move me - move me somewhere closer to the ocean!! :lmao:

Susie, your cruise ship looks closer to the shore than mine even though you arrive after me!!!
