You can see what an honor this was for me, being given this coin today!

Thanks for sharing this Dr Hug! What a great day for you.

Well, 2 minutes to midnight, so I'm off to bed.

Goodnight Nan and gentlemen!

.Edited....whoops, Goodnight Cheri too...see you just popped up!

.

I'll be there in spirit! I'm really missing my spring trip to DL!:lovestruc

Me too. And to think that I took it for granted when we only lived 3 miles away. :confused3 We lived very near to where Jordan lives, for those who know him. (Another Cruiser).

After the cruise, if anyone, locals or those who are staying on for a few days, would like to ride the train in the evening, just PM me and we can probably make it happen.

That would be fun. Perhaps a tankard of ale bribe?

I know....I'd so like to go to the meet...but that close to cruise time I know I'll be wanting to hang on to my cash! (Business trip is a no-go...even my boss' trips have been cut back  )

.
OK...really going to be now.

.

Molly and Wilson are in the front yard, Wilson is riding his bike, Molly comes running in the house, MOM some girls just picked our Tulips!!!

I go outside and see 2 girls riding away on their bikes and yell after them, and then see their parents walking out from behind DH's car. SHE HAS MY TULIPS IN HER HANDS!!!! Some people, the nerve :sad2:

I told her that those are our flowers and to give them back. She said "he (her husband/their father) told them not to pick them"

Who in their right mind picks flowers from their neighbors house without asking???

Ok, I'm taking a movie break (we are watching Iwo Jima) to show you the tulips this year, back in a minute.

That's crazy! The parents were fine with it of course until they were caught tulip handed! Geez I guess the nerve of some people nowadays!

Just checking in. I am beat.

We have gotten about 18 or so inches of snow in about 24 hours.

I cleared snow last night.

I cleared snow this morning.

I just cleared snow again.

The snow pile in front of my driveway from plowing is about six feet high.

I had to go into the office to manage a crisis plan for the stores - I got stuck dropping Sophia off at Grandma's. We are closing our stores three hours early tonight.

I got stuck picking Sophia UP at Grandma's.

Both times I had to get a shovel out of the trunk and spend a half hour digging out. If you stop on a side street, you are SOL, because they have only plowed the main roads, and cannot keep up with them.

I know this isn't Canada, but we have not seen this kind of snow in awhile. My snow blower can't pile it much higher on the side of the driveway, it is about 3 feet high and growing!

The only thing growing faster are the pages on this thread!

I can't imagine having to carry a shovel in my trunk! Here's wishing you guys get a break from the snow for a bit. pixiedust:

Ok..

I could be off by a week...

BUT

Dancing with the Stars SHOULD end the week of May 19th... (I have to check and see how many stars are on this year... it could be later...)

BUT....

We're supposed to have Ballroom under the Stars on the Friday before we get into LA...

Any thoughts????

Well I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe we will have a few "stars" dancing with us. :confused3

I think you are right. I remember it, but I can't remember when they took it out. It was there for a long time. Kind of a little snack bar. It was somewhere near the House of the Future exhibit, I think. Wow. And I thought I would never forget the old place. So many changes over a lot of years. I remember the Rainbow Caverns Mine Train. I always liked that. And when there were live girls as Mermaids, in the submarine lagoon. The Indian Village. The old boat rides, which were like a Boatopia.

OMG I loved driving the boats. I was the best darn boat captain EVER! :rotfl2:

Honestly, I don't remember what was there. I was 6 at the time that picture was taken. I do know that was someplace around where the Dumbo ride is now in Fantasyland, I do believe.

In this picture you can see "It's a Small World" off in the distance.

It was the Pirate Ship and Skull Rock Cove. It was Chicken of the Sea. They had really yummy tuna sandwiches. I will have to look I have a picture of me there when I was around 6 or 7 years old.

OK Kelly, here is a view for comparison. Standing near to the same spot. The street is at the end of the driveway.

WOw that is so much snow. I can only imagine having to deal with that! Very pretty curb appeal there too by the way.

Sorry not the best picture, too much sun :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And my cuties and beauties (which is which???)
IMG_7393.jpg

I am officially a stalker! I saved those pics to my pc to show Jacinda in the morning. That is a great close up pic of the kids! So cute and the flowers are very pretty. :flower3:

I am, I have my own 1/8th scale train and it is co-located with Walt Disney's barn at the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum here in Los Angeles (see www.LALS.org) Usually on one or two Sundays a month, I can be found out there running my engine and hauling the public. Lots of fun and I am the Membership chairman too!

Well that place looks great. I have bookmarked the site for future reference. :thumbsup2

:sad2: I hate this change! I will be a miserable grump for 2 weeks! :headache:

Oh dear.

He got home OK. Took about a half hour. Not bad. Good thing he works so close to home. I am soooo enjoying this snowstorm. It is just beautiful! We haven't had this much snow at one time since the blizzard of 1978. Sounds silly but I was really hoping to see another big storm while I am still alive. Guess I can die happy now! Oh, wait. I need to go on a cruise first!:goodvibes

Everyone must think I am really crazy now!

Donna

I would love to see another big snow storm too as it is probably almost 20 years ago now since we had one.

But we won't have faces like that in the morning. They will be more like this.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

:lmao: And particularly after 2 weeks of Angie being a 'miserable grump'!!:lmao:

Yes Dennis, Amy is back. But she leaves again on the 22nd! I'll let her tell you guys the stories when we meet again.

I really miss my time here, but I think it is going to be more and more limited. Some things have happened at work that I am trying to deal with and my time has become a big issue.

Sorry you are dealing with these difficult issues right now John. You will really need this vacation.

Loved your snow pictures - just beautiful(from here anyway as I don't have to shovel!!)

Finally caught up and off to bed for me! I hope to actually talk to some of you tomorrow night reather then fill a page with just my responses to old posts!

Thanks.....I did something fun this afternoon.

My best friend took me to one of those "Dinner Done" places and I made 10 meals. It was really really fun and I made 10 meals in 2 hours. We ate one tonight Double Stack Beef Quesadillas YUMMY!!
Here is the others I made:

Chicken Cordon Blue
Chicken Saltimbocca with White Wine Sause
Pork Chops with Roasted Red Pepper Bruschetta
Crab Cakes
Filet of Salmon with orange Reduction
Honey Rosemary Chicken
Pork Roast with Creamy Mustard Sauce
Shirmp and Feta Orzo.

My tenth meal I took 4 sides....

I think this will take a lot of stress off at dinner time......
Lisa

I can't imagine being able to make that many meals in 2 hours, but you must feel well satisfied with the results.

Sorry not the best picture, too much sun :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

IMG_7393.jpg

How lovely Nan. I love the seat in the gutter!!!!!:lmao:

have to do a smartie run here soon. tried to get them tonight not at safeway not at rite aid, I'll try target in the morning...like I need to inhale a bag of those the week before my blood test to check my cholesterol. I wish I had a quick fix, ok any fix. I did do better on the junk food since the start of the year, but I'm no where near losing weight and eating better as I need to be.

I'm back to thinking that I might want to go to a fat farm for my birthday (end of the month) :rolleyes1

When is your birthday? Mine is the 23rd. 2 weeks and I'm 60!

Wonderful!

Whilst we love most things you guys have over there, I wish you would keep your bad weather. That swathe of bad weather you have had is zooming its way across the Atlantic right now and is hitting us tomorrow!!!

We are on severe weather warnings with very high winds, flooding at the west coastal areas and rain. Not the snow though for most of us, apart from Scotland I'm afraid..

Thanks!!!;) :lmao:

Hi PJ, thanks for setting this up - it's great for us cruisers o/s! I have added us to the map - everyone scroll out wide to see us down under!:thumbsup2
