gaylean93 Said in the last post:"Brooke is a Daisy but I'm not sure what she can earn. She just started about 2 months ago and she has earned three petals and one patch. I'm sure she would love to bring her smock. Her uniform looks like pjs!"

I think it would be great for them to have some kind of get together and a picture in the vest, sash, smock whatever they wear to their meetings! Jacinda thinks the idea is cool! :thumbsup2

Okay, I feel better. It's just that darned perfectionist tendency that makes me feel like I have to do it all, you know? Probably why I'm sitting here in the office printing out the remaining 1200 HSM programs while everyone else is having a great time at the theater. If I didn't do it, it wouldn't get done..... (yes, I'm having a little bit of a pity party!):sad1:

Hey... Pitty away!!!

I had a full blown breakdown yesterday...

Luckily I have my friends here to give me encouragement that well, maybe Sunday (checking Weather.com...) the sun will come out... the planets will align and George Clooney will break up with his girlfriend... (I know... sorry...I'm just jealous!!!)

I'll have to come up with some coupons that they can use between each other to avoid that fight."

Don't forget Nan that Tiffanie will be chaperoning Jacinda around the ship so the girls will have "grown up" supervision too most of the time. Or she can stay and play with Dominic and Wilson sometimes too. Bet the boys would like hanging out with her too! :rotfl:

Hey all...down at the mouse house. It's really busy down here. I've done a bunch tonight, but some rides were just too crowded. Our JV team placed so they will be in the finals...yea! Varsity competes tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed. We rode Big Thunder Mountain while the fireworks were going, it was cool, like being in a commercial! Now I am back at the hotel. Have my favorite room in Paradise Pier. I always request pool view floor 3. That way you have easy access to the pool. Kids can come and go as they please. Although, no kids with us, but still like the location. Plus it's quiet at night. I didn't score any mickey ears, but my friends got the fast pass all access. There's always tomorrow. We are doing the 7am early entry. Gonna ride nemo first! Get that out of the way. You all chatted so much, can't keep up!
Steph

I'm sure that taylor will be all over the ship with molly and jacina. She's going to be allowed to come and go since our room will be right by the kids club. Plus I put a write on board up on my door, so she can leave messages.

Have a great time and Good Luck tomorrow!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Frank is still out of the hospital....which means he is still here.

He is sick. I took my mom to the doctor today. She is weak and faint and has a lot of pain in her knees and back. She got some cortosone (sp?) shots.

I know I have said this before, but being in this position is really tough.

Lisa, Hang in there. I've been there. I'll keep you in prayer.:flower3:

Okay, now that we've got a new thread, will someone PLEASE give me permission to stop trying to catch up on the old one???? We're in the middle of tech week for 2 weekends of HSM and I can only do about 10 pages at a time. I think I'm still on page 153 of the old thread.

Someone please tell me that I won't be struck by lightning if I never get back to finishing it. I'm already haunted by what I might have missed in Part 1 that's MIA!!!

Tracy,
I've missed huge chunks of all the threads. You have my permission to start fresh where you are.:wizard:
Go, and be happy!:dance3:

Well, tomorrow morning I'm going to figure out how to put together a volcano cake for my nephew's BD party (the pieces are baked, just need to be assembled). Then I'll take it down to Scottsdale to his BD party. Won't be home 'till tomorrow night.

Later...:goodvibes

You are very welcome. I would do it all over again; My Duty and My Honor to serve.

I think that at some time while on board, the "LBB" needs to meet in Diversions to swap military stories, hoist a few libations, and honor all of our vets!

Having served as a U.S. Army Officer on active duty for over 12 years, I concur with DrHug, it too was my duty and my honor to uphold the freedoms we now enjoy. I feel sad for the RAF personnel that cannot walk into town without being harassed. It is not right. I had many a friend stationed with the BAOR (British Army of the Rhine) while I was stationed in Germany and none of them were less patriotic to Queen and Country as we "Yanks" were to our Stars & Stripes and the freedoms they represent. I hope those who despise the military will soon remember the words of GEN Douglas McArthur who said "that no one prays for peace more than the professional soldier, for it is he who must suffer the consequences of war." and also that they remember it is because of the soldier standing guard that keeps the light of our freedoms burning bright and allows them to disagree.

I will now get down from my soap box and find a pint (or half liter) to raise to thank my fallen comrades.:drinking1

[Patriotic music fades into the background]
:thanks: (Could not find a smile waiving a flag)

My 12yr (David) is ALWAYS up for "sporty" things like shuffleboard, basketball, pingpong, soccer (we may even bring a couple of hockey sticks on board with "street balls" for the soccer court) ... or air hockey.

He is a bit competitive and will play with all ages (tweens/teens/adults), but he is pretty good!!

Phew, all those pages on the old thread and I couldn't reply to any of them!!!

So I feel like I've been cheating on you all! Ever since I discovered the freebie thread on the budget board, I've not been here as much. ;) I'm hooked!

Hi all!!

I have had to completely skip the entire last thread

So, please catch me up if anything really important is happening (of if I missed anything cool).

I am writing to you all from the Hilton Garden Inn in Valencia. We are spending the weekend at ... gasp ... Magic Mountain for Tiffany's 15th Bday.

** My brother asked us if we were afraid "the big mouse" would be jealous :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

** My mom called me to see if I needed to be bailed out of jail (since we homeschool in CA) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Do I have a funny family or what!! :dance3:

We arrived late since David had a late hockey game, but everyone is settled and asleep ... so of course I am on the DIS!! ;)

Tomorrow we are off to ride Tatso, Goliath and a few other "world record holders" roller coasters. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Sunday is Physics Day at Magic Mountain (sponsored by K'nex). David and Dave (dh) are looking forward to seeing what will be available. Usually many stations throughout the parks where you can build roller coasters and explore the wonders of Physics.

The kids participated in the Y.E.S. Physics classes at Disneyland this past year. They took the Energy class and the Motion class. Really fun and interesting for 12-17rs. They also have animation classes and a CA History session. The Y.E.S. series is one of the "best kept secrets" of DL.

I am getting "the looks" and "the hahrumps" from my familiy who want me to stop the "clicking" :confused3

So I guess it is off the bed (finally) for me. Hope they all crash early tomorrow (if the day is exciting enough this should not be a problem) so I can catch up more with everyone tomorrow night.

Take care!!

:tinker: Karen
