Grapefruit is the only one you can't eat (something about absorbtion rates in your liver increase if you eat it so you end up with too much in your system at once).

Oranges, lemons, limes, etc. are ok.

No prob...I don't like grapefruit!

To the Fish Extender Gift Givers....
I PM'ed Lisa...CALMOM and asked her to put it into English for this Ditzy person here...

This is what she so graciously sent me TWICE because, hey, yeah, I really am a ditz...

HERE YOU GO!

1. the amount of cabins for the fish extenders - 75
2. the amount of adults - 147 ( in cabins with FE)
3. the amount of children - 76 (in cabins with FE)

Good news on Molly's school work. Her teacher tells me that she has to turn in something, she the teacher, has to turn in to the district. And that she has stuff for that already (read between the lines here). I told her about the power point idea and she thought that was great. The one thing Molly will have to work on is a paper/presentation on I think Colonial Times. More details to come on that and I suspect that Molly will be working on this prior to travel, rather than during travel. Fingers crossed.

Her band teacher also said that she can make up her missed performance (date being decided now for time frame while we are gone) by doing another one somewhere else. I figure she might have to offer a solo concert, maybe at Grandma's retirement home???

Lastly, she got a part in the school play, Grease. Not a great part, but considering we are gone during the whole last 2 weeks she is very lucky. Turns out they had a big audition and not everyone got parts. The performance dates are the week we return 5/28-30. She will miss all of dress rehersal and we will miss all the parent work to set the set.

Now I'm feeling a bit guilty :guilty: about spending the extra day at Dland. Not sure what we will do about this. I might suggest that Paul and she fly right home, we'll see. I'm staying and so will Wilson. But Molly might find it important to come home, I just don't know????:confused3

One kid down, one to go :woohoo:

Glad to hear the Royal Princess had not only gotten the part in the Royal Performance, but is also going to be able to complete her scholastic schedule so she can proceed with her Royal Training... princess:

Can you ask the teacher if a TR for all the drinks served on board counts towards the assignment?

Wow the ship looks very cool! :thumbsup2 I may have to see about something like that for J and I . She is really into old ships.

I read the page tonight and saw that she was in POC 1, 2 & 3. I wish I knew that today I would have asked about it.

I'm thinking of trying to do a GS service unit event on it next season and will keep ya posted.

They also seem to offer tickets for indivduals.:thumbsup2

of course, they party in one place and we adults tell them to get out of the house so we can enjoy our own space and chatter :rotfl:

I'll have to see what my parents are doing and see if they can take the little one for me. If so we may be able to swing it. Would be fun to unwind alittle after cookie sales are over!

Hi everyone! I have not dropped off the face of the earth. I just had a literacy festival/carnival for 3000 kids, a conference in Las Vegas for my industry association for a week and I am now in Jackson Hole for a figure skating competition for DD.

I hope all is going well!

Another update to everyone on my DD's "loose tooth" and the scooter board incident.

Things seem to be healing quite well and we can already notice a positive move with the tooth. So things are looking good.

My DD did get her report card and there was one thing that both my wife and I laughed out loud about when we read it.

The report card for Grade One is done using the 1-4 Progress Levels scale with 4=Exceeds Expectations, 3=Meets Expectations, 2=Minimally meets Expectations and 1=Not Yet Meeting Expectations.

Under Physical Education there is one part that reads:
"Demonstrates appropriate skills when working with the scooter boards and skipping ropes" She was given a 4!!! LOL!!

If you really think she misunderstood and it was a language barrier, do you think it was fair to her to call her and up and be livid with her. These are the risks you take when planning a surprise vacation. Just my opinion.

Hmmm...not sure if you know the history with this. It isn't a surprise vacation, it is an Easter gift that we were giving the children next Sunday. I don't think I was taking on any risk in preparing a gift. The other point, which you couldn't have known, is this is an ongoing personnel issue with our nanny. She is great in many ways however sometimes when she doesn't understand something, she doesn't seek clarification. That is why I was livid - I was upset she didn't ask for clarificaqtion. As far as calling her... I had to call her up because I wasn't going to see her in the morning and I needed her to stop talking to the children about it. Not sure why calling would be unfair? :confused3 More a question of necessity.

Gin and tonics with lime :thumbsup2

I've always wanted to try a Mohito but I found out sugar is a main ingredient so I'd probably have to trade off an entire meals worth of carbs to have it :scared1:
I can confirm that the mojitos on the magic are marvelous!

Steph, sorry you are feeling bad..wish I could offer some chicken noddle soup or a hug, how about a virtual hug
I'd take your soup if it would stay down..well that was this morning. I was able to hold down chix broth this afternoon, but my headache rages on...another day off tomorrow ought to do the trick.
