I'll probably be arriving a day or two before as well, since I'll be worrying about weather delaying my flight So I'll probably be at WDW on the 10th

We can't cruise in September but I'm sure we can manage a day for a meet in WDW!!!

I am feeling quite a bit down today, I am hoping that goes away soon. Anyone else have experience with this?

Yes, I always have a "post-trip depression" that lasts several days. Part of it for me is that I get used to being around the people on a trip and having their company. I'm single and live alone so when I come home it's an adjustment.

Please don't misunderstand--I'm fine with my life! I just have to get used to "normal".

Maybe thats what I have...post trip sadness. I keep thinking whats the next one that I can do and then I remember, that I am taking a vacation break until 2010. Staying local here in california. Saving up for the Japan Trip! hahahaha

I would love to know how your car rental in Aruba worked out and which company you used. We want to go off on our own on this island as we have been there before on a previous cruise so we aren't doing any ship excursions

Aruba Royal - they were fine. I think what the Cruise Critic people have had an issue with is, these guys are there at X time...not when ever you want to get off the ship.

I had rebooked the dummy date on the ship.

I spoke to our travel agent today. We are now confirmed on the September 12, 2009, 7-night cruise.

Anyone have any insights into a standard inside stateroom vs. a "sideways" stateroom?

did you change dates? Our dummy date is in Dec. Congrats on the upcoming marriage!!

Hi all!

We lost luggage too and got it today. I talked to a very nice lady at lost and found for DCL who told me they had a difficult time in L.A. I told her they should send some of the Port Canaveral people to L.A. to teach them how to do it right.

Anyway, it's all good now.

We all have some nasty cold, but it sounds like everyone else does too.

It was lovely meeting a lot of you. I wish I could have met more.

I caught up on Supernatural yesterday at work and CSI and Lost today at work (I love my iPod!!!).

I still have House, Reaper, Grey's Anatomy, CSI Miami, etc.

Any I can skip??

hi there, back from the 2 hour long wait at the doctors office, dianosis walking pneumonia, tomorrow I have a chest xray to make sure it's not pneumonia of the plain variety.

off to Molly's play now and then home to bed for a few days at least I'm told. Yeah that's what I needed a vacation from my vacation. Now I can read all those books I ignored.

I haven't even gotten to those yet. I just finished up medium and ncis. I always save the good ones for last. Oh and all the half hour shows! I haven't seen anything bad yet, but I haven't even cleaned out 40% yet!

I thought Nick was the only one weird enough to eat salami at breakfast. He had it every morning.

I didn't rebook. I just couldn't bring myself to have them hold onto my $$ just in case they have a good 2010. I did that last time and was dissappointed in the 2009 choices.

I have cleaned out the DVC points for 2008. BUt thats a good point, I can do DVC in 2009, so maybe spring break at WDW? Just the airfare. I really want to go back to hawaii so I am saving my free tix on Hawaiian for that when DVC hawaii opens. I am all over that!

I really enjoy dvc, but since you live so close...not sure if it's worth it for you. I am almost 50% recouped since joining 3 years ago, so it's been a good deal for me. Heck I did not pay for the med cruise, I used my dvc to do that so that saved ALOT of cash. Plus at the california travel expo last weekend, they had some serious deals for newbies...

It was great meeting you in Aruba and running into you at random places. Your little one is so squishable..love her! Thanks again for organizing the Aruba Jeeps. I appreciated all of your hard work!

we did that on our 1 st cruise too, Wilson wasn't old enough then (5) to remember, between now and then he has become a paper airplane freak, and other oragami (sp) to follow.



Wilson also eats the salami...seems these boys have lots in common and we didn't even know it.

Lori, did our boys play together that you know of? I'll ask Wilson when he gets home if he remembers Ben and Nick. Ben is 10 right?

Yes, Ben is 10 and Nick is 7. Ben became good friends with Calmom's oldest, but didn't mention too many others by name. I'll have to ask him.
