You could hire a bike for an hour? If I could ride one that is what we would do.

Funny you should mention that. I am thinking about doing a bike rental this time and seeing a bit more of the island.

Ian... can you stop off on you way past and pick me up another marguerita?????

Oh, I've got LOTS of bling for various dressy outfits. I've lost 60 pounds and all spring have been shopping for an entirely new wardrobe for the trip, casual and dressy stuff alike. And shopping for jewelry to match was just so much fun!

May I ask where you got a Mickey water-proof watch?

I vote a). In fact I just woke up from mine! Although b) would be next on my list.

Got the Mickey watch in 06 at Target ($25), didn't see any there recently when I was checking for new Disney watches.

What fun to be able to shop for all new clothes. Congrats on the weight loss!

Well, if I don't sign off I won't get that nap. Think I'll go lie down and if I'm not out cold in 10 minutes THEN I'll just go eat! :lmao:

.

Just realized today that we needed to bank our DVC points before the end of the month. Noticed we would have lost 19 points that we couldn't bank, so we upgraded to a 2 bedroom for May 9th at SSR.

I've just been posting on a thread over on the DL boards about the night-time shows offered at DL/DCA. It has been suggested that maybe we should have a Dis meet on the 25th - check it out here:

Anyone interested? :confused3

Thank you so much, even though I will have some DL experts with me, I have always been the planner and this trip I have little to no clue how to do any of it.

the internet is a great thing - you can usually find the books on it if we need them - I lug too many other books to read :)

I am actually not bringing any books this trip. All the books I am bringing (other than the one isntruction manual for my new camera) are downloaded on to my PDA for reading. Gotta love Project Gutenberg! I'm currently reading Edgar Rice Burrough's Tarzan series that I thought I had read as a kid but am realizing I didn't. (Boy did Disney - along with almost every other filmmaker - butcher that story!)

I'm thinking about spa stuff. Anyone doing any spa stuff? I once had a massage and found it very relaxing. There's something about getting one on the ship that strikes me as somewhat creepy.

I'm also trying to figure out what we are going to do on Castaway Cay. Usually we just head for Serenity Bay and then back to the ship for lunch, since Sukie is not very happy with the vegetarian selections in they have in that part of the island.

We're thinking, of exploring the island a bit more this time.

Also, we've only been in late October and mid-December. It could sometimes be a little cool. I'm sure it will be much warmer this time around.

I'm getting a manicure and pedicure towards the end of the cruise.

We do. The amount depends on the amount of service they provide and the length of the tour. A couple of dollars for a bus driver. A bit more, around 5, for tour guide that gives us info about the area. This would be for the bus tours about 3-4 hours. We did a catamaran in St Marteen that included a bar and sandwiches. We tipped around 10 for that since there was some drinks poured, sandwiches made, great fun and music.

Per person or for the pair of you?

I've never done any of these excursions before so I'm not sure what is proper etiquette...

Non-Cruise business but possbily interesting to some history buffs out there...

I just read in my Canadian History magazine "The Beaver", that the original Treaty of Paris is going to be in North America for the first time ever. It is going to be on display in Ottawa, Ontario from May 6 to Aug 5 and then it will move to Washington DC in October.

It is part of an exhibition called: 1783: Subject or Citizen? Which is a joint collaboration between the Library and Archives Canada and the US National Archives and Records Administration.

whew, we have been gone all afternoon. I left my darn pc on.
We hit Walmart - no magnet paper, then the mall and then Publix. Picked up a bottle of champagne so we can toast to two weeks!

I'm really behind but I saw champagne and I had to look. We hit Wal-Mart too and we got out Bubba mugs and magnetic tape and a magnetic hanger to go on the door. We did forget toilette paper which didn't surprise me at all so now I have to go back. Maybe I'll go to the grocery.
