I think I am just one of those people who likes everybody to be happy, so when I read what Linda wrote it did make me sad that people felt so strongly about it as to want to pm someone and sort of complain. Of course I realise that folk are different in wanting to join a thread or not. Some people just like to read and glean all the info without taking part, some like to chat and get to know each other etc etc, but I will always try and answer a question even though I have only been on one cruise before. I will google if needs be.

I do know how hard it is to scan through the vast amount of posts as I have from around 5pm Eastern when I go to bed till when I log on again around 3am Eastern to catch up on. That was always a busy time even before the chats started.

So, I wouldn't really want different threads.

I totally agree...I can't keep up with this thread, but I love it wouldn't want to read another....

I screwed up something SO BAD at work today...and my old boss, my director sensed something was wrong, asked me in his office and before I left, I managed to knock half the files on his desk off!!! He could not get me out fast enough!

I am not on your cruise... we were supposed to be but the dates did not work out. I created a calendar like this for the cruise we are going on in June. Someone on your cruise asked me for one with your dates.

Our neighborhood has a pool and so does the country club I belong to. That's good enough for me as I could not see myself cleaning a pool.
Hmmm wait a minute hot pool boy............ok maybe I could have a pool when I move!

We belong to the local YMCA but it is just too much hassle for us - we love to swim and want to be able to at a moments notice instead of having to spend 30 minutes getting there, dressed, signed in and such and then coming home - so we are really looking forward to this - we are having an automatic cleaning system put in and then an infatable "pool house" for the winter months so we can keep swimming.

I will be doing laundry too.



I bought this camera because I don't like the pictures that come from the disposable water cameras. I think I got the 850 too. I also got from amazon a camera strap that floats. That way if I drop it while snorkling or in the off the side of a small watercraft, it will float instead of sink. It is very small and I think 8 megapixels. I like Olympus and I think it will do fine. I have to figure out how to use it correctly. It does panoramics automatically and does video too.

ok I went and bought the yellow one - and then I have ordered the floating strap - still need to buy an xd card so I can really try it out - I am excited about the panarama mode - hopefully I can figure it out.

I am way behind as I have been working in my house trying to get it in order before hubby comes home next Saturday -

I have skipped pages 160 to 190 but I did read enough to see about last night - I joined in the chatter last night, posting pictures and everything too and had fun - sorry to have added to some peoples frustration but I did have fun Many times I skip whole days, sometimes even whole parts - but I just know I will pick back up and join in.

I hope I have not missed too much - if someone replied to me about something I wrote last night let me know

No need to stop talking because of new people I sure as hell won't! I liken it to people showing up really late to a party, they walk in and don't know who to talk to or where to go. Doesn't mean you gotta change the theme of the party for them. I like the new people who post and say hi I am so and so and jump in. If they are flat out too scared to post we can't help them with anything.

So if you are new (and lurking) and just now looking for info on your cruise that is in two weeks POST! You have tons to catch up on and no time like the present to start.

This thread has helped me get to know people who will be cruising with me and I like it. I now know who I will get along with best and whom I might just avoid on the ship. That would not have happened if this thread was all business and no play. I know we all have our little cliques day/night East/West sandwich eaters/Vegetarians so be it I like the thread and they will have to drag me away......

Now a bunch of people might not read this since I posted it but maybe someone else will respond thus reposting it under their name and trick others into reading it.

I got the orange one. Go BIG ORANGE!!! I got my xd cards on amazon.com and they were like half price. Batteries too.
