That's what I mean. And truthfully, I don't read when someone is talking about electronics. When I started talking on here regularly everyone was buying cameras and computers and such. I hated reading it and it was a little discouraging. I know how the newbies feel but I also know that I try to make them understand so they stick around.

tech talk does nothing for me either!:surfweb:

well, we are in FL so no worries about airlines, we are driving it over!:thumbsup2

Where is a good place to stop and get liquor and and snacks for the hotel? I know they don't sell liquor at the grocery stores.

I'm going to tan before I get the kids. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon.

some grocery stores have liquor stores attached. Look on Shirley's thread on teh main board, she posted where all the liquor shops are. I am not too familiar with the port area.

Thanks. I will do that.

you look pretty tan in your pictures already!!

You guys will need sunglasses when you see me!! White as Casper!!:goodvibes

I had only been tanning for a few days at that point. From the pictures I have seen of you, you probably don't tan, do you? I used to work at a tanning salon and red heads would come in there and try but they always burnt.

Drive by post here (no way to keep up these days)....I really need to get packing this weekend. There is a chance the girls might be gone next weekend, which would be great since I would have all weekend to pack and organize.

V...do you happen to know if Publix usually has liquor stores attached to them? And if so, what time do they open? What liquor is sold in those stores vs the grocery store themself?

Also.....what do people think of the water on board? Does it taste ok? I am a pretty picky water drinker, but don't want to lug a case of bottled water with me, so I was hoping the water onboard tasted pretty good.

hopefully I will be having one tonight watching a NEW Grey's Anatomy!!!

Marr - are you packed? Done shopping?

NO freaking way on either of those counts. I am just now making a list that I am going over to make sure I get everything I need. I suppose I work best under pressure! :thumbsup2

Why is it that the Florida native is white?! Isn't it sunny there all the time? V....bring that laptop outside on the weekends and work on your tan! :goodvibes

Myself....a bit of a tan left from Mexico with some added spray tan on Wed May 6! I think it was said before, but I swear a tan helps you to "lose" 10# or at least 5#:cool1:

I'm not being snide in saying if this thread is too fast for some, then make another one. I'm sure that those of us who talk to each other everyday all day will just stay here. People communicate at different levels, and it isn't reasonable to expect that we should be quiet or that EVERYONE should post and talk here all day long. Ok, I'm done with these comments on this round you all known my feelings on the topic. For those who don't see this side of the coin, I hope we can agree to disagree on this topic and remain friendly

Some people just like to read and glean all the info without taking part, some like to chat and get to know each other etc etc, but I will always try and answer a question even though I have only been on one cruise before. I will google if needs be.

I do know how hard it is to scan through the vast amount of posts as I have from around 5pm Eastern when I go to bed till when I log on again around 3am Eastern to catch up on. That was always a busy time even before the chats started.

So, I wouldn't really want different threads.

If they are flat out too scared to post we can't help them with anything.

So if you are new (and lurking) and just now looking for info on your cruise that is in two weeks POST! You have tons to catch up on and no time like the present to start.

This thread has helped me get to know people who will be cruising with me and I like it. I now know who I will get along with best and whom I might just avoid on the ship. That would not have happened if this thread was all business and no play. I know we all have our little cliques day/night East/West sandwich eaters/Vegetarians so be it I like the thread and they will have to drag me away......

Now a bunch of people might not read this since I posted it but maybe someone else will respond thus reposting it under their name and trick others into reading it.

I didn't take it that way at all.

Yes, we have been chatty and fast moving from the very beginning, but as of late there is an entirely different feel to the thread. It is essentially a chat room at night. (day too now!)

I don't care one way or the other, as a long time poster it doesn't bother me, if I was new however it would seem more like a club to me.

Now, however instead of skipping over the night time chatter it will be the day time chatter too, and I have a feeling that since it's been mentioned it will now be even moreso, kind of like your parents when they tell you not to do something!

I may have a resolution for those of you who can’t keep up; almost a year ago we began a thread for those of us who were on the TA and Med cruise together. We have lost several of our original folks and gained some great new folks, but it is for slow pokes. We’ve only posted 28 pages in a year, but we’ve all kept in touch and asked questions when needed. Those of you who need something slow to ask questions you are more than welcome to pop on by and say hello. PS: I do post the morning song of the day there as well.

Kaylee, I didn't have a problem with the water onboard, but I've heard others mention they experienced a yucky color and taste. We refilled water bottles from the bathroom sink in our room all cruise and never had any trouble.
