Half the time I fall asleep out there because I just love being close to the water. It's my mom's fault. She brought us to the beach all the time from when we were very young and we would take our afternoon naps sleeping on the beach near the water. It's the best sleep that I have.

That sounds heavenly

The funny thing about MY family is that I am the only one that needs the water to rejuvinate myself. The rest of them need the mountains.

Please help me.

I am thinking of renting a car in California. I have never driven in CA before? Am I going to be able to drive from the port to Disneyland...spend the day and then drive to Long Beach Airport....will I get lost? I ahve a great sense of direction....but usually on the East Caost of the US.....

What Car company do I rent from?
What is the address of the port so I can Mapquest Disneyland?
Can we use our daily tickets for WDW at Disneyland?
How far from Disneyland to Long Beach Airport?

WHY do you want to drive???

The cabs are easy and not that expensive, or use the shuttles. You can totally put your bags in our room at GCA.

Well, I am just not to sure....We want to spend the day in Disneyland....and we fly out of Long Beach at 10pm...

So what would you do?? Not make any reservations and just take a cab to Disneyland and then a cab from Disneyland to Long Beach airport? Are there cabs waiting at Disneyland to pick up passengers?

The terminal opens up at 10am. I've lined up as early as 930am - able to hand over luggage to the porter then and just waited for the doors to open.

I'll bet you were first in line.

Yes there are cabs out front where the hotel shuttle busses drop/pickup passengers. Dont know how much tho. Kelly might have better info on that or be able to let you know who to call for prices.

Just a drive by post guys before you pop on over to number 14. My brother is doing better - and I am a terrible lip reader. We are frustrating the heck out of each other.

Funny story though. I tried for over two hours to figure out something that he was trying to tell me. Well, as it turns out, I was thinking too rationally. Because of the sedative and pain med, he thought he was seeing words on the ceiling . . . and here I am trying to figure out what he is trying to tell me in a rational way about the ceiling . . . DUH . . . . one of his friends figured out what he was saying.

Going to bed soon . . . first time in my life I have not yet been to church on Holy Week. Hoping to make it to Anastasi (Resurrection) service tomorrow night.

Until then . . . Kali Anastasi!

I know, but really, I am sure the hotel is gorgeous itself...but think of all the other things I can do with that money! I just know we are going to commando the parks for the time we are there and I really can't justify that amount of money...plus, I could use that for rebooking onboard or Samantha's birthday trip in October!


I feel left out...on our last cruise everyone seemed to be on deck 6!! Now it's 7! I am way down below!

John - thank you again for fitting an update in w/in everything that you're dealing with right now. Continued prayers and s to you. I am SO Thankful that Manuel is doing better.

Had a huge scare today.

Hubby forwarded an email from his Store Manager that it was very important that he met with her today regarding vacation requests in May.

Long story short, they just decided to move Women's June 1/2 Yearly to start on May 21st. SM was asking all management vacation requests to be rescheduled!!!

To keep the story short, he still is able to take vacation time.

This is great but also a huge bummer - now I am going to miss 1/2 Yearly!!

Leslie, that was a scary close call, but I'm glad he didn't have to reschedule his vacation. Yikes!

Oh no Deb! I'm sorry.....but I'm glad you & John are still able to cruise with us all! Working for an income tax lawyer, I see horrible examples every day of how incompetent the IRS workers are.

I may have to hire your boss if I don't get my refund by next year. Too bad I can't charge them interest!!!
